It’s going to be a couple of days on this one – it’s almost certainly a plugin conflict, just gotta figure out which one. Post restriction is working fine, just for some reason on pages it doesn’t ‘stick’.

It hasn’t happened for a few days now, I’m hoping that it was just a rash of people who had subscriptions with EOTs set – and perhaps the EOT triggered a wipe of all ccaps. But I have enabled logging and will send along the logs and shortcodes if it happens again…

Mayday Mayday, similar error here, new users can’t use this form, as it says they have to be logged in, but of course they don’t have a username and password yet..

Got busy with the holidays and forgot about this :)

You answered my questions, thanks! I am using Paypal Pro. I just wasn’t sure if the EOT thing was even needed – at first I thought it was, but basically I set the EOT by deleting the class when I am through with it :) Once it’s gone, it doesn’t matter if the user has the ccap, the group isn’t in existence anyway.

THanks!

My icons are not showing at all, and in addition, I get this error:

The stylesheet https://mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/s2member/s2member-o.php was not loaded because its MIME type, “text/html”, is not “text/css”.

this is when viewed in Firebug. When viewed in Chrome, it says that there is a GET 500 server error associated with the s2member-o.php file. And the paypal pro images don’t render if I turn the SSL requirement off, just to see if it was an SSL issue.

More information – this error was brought to my attention when a customer reported that the payment page (using s2member_force_ssl and a paypal pro shortcode), which has been working for months, was no longer working. The only thing that has changed is that I updated S2member this past week… :(

MORE – Of course it seems to be a theme issue, as activating the default theme returns the Paypal Pro form to ‘normal’ – however, this theme conflict was not present prior to the upgrade of s2Member. Is there some information you can perhaps give me so that I can let the theme developers know and troubleshoot on their end as well as yours?

I set up a clean install at wpdev.daisypeel.com

Four Pages:
Sample Page – that’s the membership options page
Test 1-2 – users with custom capabilities of test1,test2 specified in the metabox
Test 1 – users with ccap test1 specified
Test 2 – users with ccap test2 specified

When logged in as user Test1, I can view page Test1, but not Test 1-2 or Test 2.
When logged in as user Test2, I can view page Test2, but not Test 1-2 or Test 1.

No other plugins installed. I can give you admin access to my live site if you like, but this behavior is reproducible on my clean install.

Thanks,
Daisy

So, I just searched the forum as I’m having this problem – so, what is the workaround? How do I format multiple ccaps in this metabox?

Thanks,
Daisy

Deactivating Buddypress Scholarpress Courseware seems to have fixed the issue. Luckily I’m not using that plugin any longer…but it is a nice plugin that perhaps others are using. In any case, as usual, the problem is not with S2Member ;)

Hi there,

I don’t have any caching plugins installed. Deactivated and reactivated the s2member plugin, and the behavior persists. So, I’ll start going through plugins, particularly newly added ones, as I don’t recall this being an issue in the past. Will let you know.

Thanks,
D

The URL http://classroom.daisypeel.com/class-payment-and-registration-forms/running-contacts-i-auditing/
is protected using specific post/page access, set on the individual page itself in the edit mode in the dashboard.

The 404 behavior is a separate issue – the 404 page needed to be set in the theme, that is now working properly. The main question is why is the url redirecting to the 404 instead of being checked against s2member and then being redirected to the membership options page?

Thanks!

EDIT/UPDATE – those pages that are protected by URI protection in the s2member area of the dashboard, or those pages specified by ID in the dashboard DO get redirected to the membership options page properly. But for some reason, those pages where I have set page protection/restriction while editing the page itself, are redirecting to the 404.

Thanks again.
