I’m afraid Jason wouldn’t answer, since it’s outside their support policy I believe. And I don’t know anybody with iDevAffiliate experience.

I suggest that you wait for an answer here, or contact iDevAffiliate, see what they have to say.

Hello Hari,

I checked the s2Member settings, and it is there. Check under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields & Options. There you will see an option with a dropdown, named “Set “Display Name” during Registration?”.

Also, just as an extra step. Have you made sure that you also installed the pro version? Remember you gotta install the free and paid versions separately.

No problem, it might also be the cause of your other problem. Let’s hope it fixes everything. :)

I see. Then this might be a caching issue.

Do you have any caching plugins installed? If so, try deactivating it/them.

Also, make sure to clear your browser’s cache, and see if that’s the problem.

If that does not solve it, please make sure to follow the instructions in this article :Knowledge Base » Don't mix www and without

I’m not very experienced with this error, haven’t dealed with PayPal a lot (thank god).

Some things you can try are the following:

Follow the common troubleshooting tips: Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips

Once you try all those steps, tell me the results, see if any of that was the cause. If not, make sure that your PayPal details are 100% correct (double and triple check it).

I’m glad it worked! I’m sorry to say I can’t offer any advice with iDevAffiliate, I have not used it or seen anybody use it except the video by Jason. :/

Hello Tina,

What error is it giving you? Could you take a screenshot of it? It is impossible for us to give any advice without knowing what error it gave you.

If I use buy now buttons, the auto subscriptions won’t work, right?

That is correct, buy now buttons will only be a one-time payment and the user will be given access for whatever he paid.

Hello Aaron,

I’m afraid that for both of these customizations you will need to modify WordPress, not s2Member. :/

Also, I’d like to add to my registration field the option to require a user to type in their old password in order to change their password.

This I am not sure, since I don’t understand what you mean. Could you please clarify what you mean, and where this field would be? Thanks.

Hello Joshua,

You can easily achieve this using s2Member conditionals: Knowledge Base » s2Member® Conditionals

Hope this helps. :)

Hello Brian,

Not sure if this works with the free registration form, but if you add the following:

success="url/to/thank-you/page"

If you add this to the end of your shortcode the user should be redirected to that page. And so you can track it with iDevAffiliate. :)

Hope this helps. :)

I checked the wiki, and it tells us the following:

Total System Services, Inc. (commonly referred to as TSYS) is the largest processor of merchant acquirers and bank credit card issuers.

Could this be it? I haven’t heard of it before in these forums, or in the documentation. I will ask Jason for his thoughts. :)

Hello Valeire,

That you ask is possible using MOP variables, which stand for Membership Options Page variables I believe. They are in every URL when the user is redirected to the MOP, but in order to make use of them I think you will need some bit of code to read them and get the correct post/page as a link.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello Michael,

s2Member doesn’t integrate with these themes (I’m not sure what Thesis is, is it a theme?).

In any case, s2Member doesn’t integrate with them, however, there have been no reported problems with them, at least not with Optimize Press, I’m not sure about Thesis.

Does this answer your question? :)

Hello Florence,

The login-logout result may be caused by the problem explained in this article: Knowledge Base » Don't mix www and without

Also, are those images protected by s2Member? Are they in the s2member-files folder? If so then this is to be expected.

That’s strange.

So if I understood correctly, this problem is caused by the login widget that you’re using? Have you tried other login widgets?

Hello Emmanuel,

Yes it’s OK to do that. :)

Could you try the steps in this article and see if it fixes it?: Knowledge Base » Don't mix www and without

The problem strongly seems to be that.

Hello Christian,

I don’t think that will help you, being in the same host will however, if I’m not mistaken.

It may be useful to give him the link to the s2Member codex: s2Member® » Codex (Source Code Docs)
