Put the option under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Open Registration, and put it back to on, that should fix the no registration link problem. The problem was that the plugin checks if WordPress is allowing registration, and this option changes that WordPress setting. So if you put it back it will allow registration again (as long as the plugin is un-modified again). If you tried what I told you with this option disabled, then you might wanna try it again, since registration didn’t work anyway. – Eduan |

Hello Robert, That error is only caused by one thing in my experience, an incorrect custom value in your shortcode. Check under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Shortcode Attributes (Explained) -› custom and make sure that the value is as it should be. Could you please paste here the shortcode that you’re using, and the actual URL of your website? As an extra step, could you make sure the things pointed out in this article are OK? Hope this helps. :) |

Well, you could use this hack I created. It should allow you to change a WordPress message to say that if the user is already logged in, he can go to this page to do it. Hope this helps. :) |

Hmm… Well really the best you can do is contact the developer and ask him how to do it. ;) |

Hello Todd, No, Stripe isn’t supported yet, Jason is developing the next version of s2Member right now I would calculate about a month or two for the first beta. – Eduan |

Hello Tate, yes this is doable. What I would do in that case is either get the pro version of s2Member, and offer a pro-form in the membership options page, or put a JavaScript redirect inside the membership options page. So make sure you have the PHP Execution plugin installed and activated, and inside the membership options page put the following code:
This will allow users to click link they shouldn’t be able to see, be redirected to the membership options page, and immediately be redirected to the registration page. So you would put this inside your membership options page. Would this solution work for you? |

Hello Rod, I suggest you post this in the plugin, User Role Editor’s forums. This is a forum for s2Member problems/questions specifically. – Eduan |

You don’t really need to send it to the register page, since s2Member will redirect the user to the membership options page if he doesn’t have access to any page/post or anything really. So basically you really only need to make that link go to the page it’s supposed to go to. Hope this helps. :) |

Well then, you really don’t need any customizations then, just need to protect the content to require the user to be level 0, and that’s it. Just have the users register through yoursite.com/wp-login.php?action=register – Eduan |

So basically only require the email… This is not possible with s2Member alone I’m afraid, just cause s2Member extends WordPress, and WordPress requires a password, username and email as a minimum for a user. :/ |

So basically, they pay once, and have unlimited access forever, even if they have to login again? |

That’s right, as long as it’s only used on your client’s website. |

I’m afraid s2Member currently doesn’t protect video sections, you could achieve this if you separate the video in 2 files though. Hope this helps. :) |

Basically never let the users be logged out? This would be an option within WordPress really, you would have to modify WordPress to modify this behavior. Although this is a very big security risk, so it’s probably not a good idea. |

Hello Paddy, If both the development version and the live version of the website are of the same owner (same website/person) then you can buy only 1 license, use it in the development version, and when it’s ready use it on the real live website. Just make sure to change your client’s profile field that’s called “Main domain”. And one last thing, make sure to buy it at your client’s name. Does that answer your question? Or did I make it too confusing? |

So are users gonna pay more than 1 time in order to continue to have access to it? Will they pay a subscription in order to continue to have access to that content? If they will only pay 1 time and keep that access forever, then it’s not a subscription (or recurring payment), and then it is possible to have more than 1 at a time. So just answer those questions and you’ll get your answer. :) |

Hello Darryl, When you installed s2Member, did you also make sure to install the pro version of s2Member? Both the free version and the pro version have to be installed if you upgrade. |

Hello Tate, This can easily be achieved using s2Member PHP conditionals, you can find them under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Advanced PHP Conditionals, here’s a video for them: Video » s2Member (Advanced Conditionals) You would simply check if the user is logged in or not, you would edit the wp-login.php file in your WordPress root directory. Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Dan, glad you solved your problem. I just wanted to say, I really suggest you don’t use the PayPal sandbox, it just creates problems that are not worth fixing since they are not gonna exist in a real installation. Instead I suggest you use 1 cent buttons so that everything works, but you don’t lose or use a lot of money. Hope this helps. :) |

Inside the first code you posted, look for the following:
Replace that with the URL of your website, make sure it’s after the name of your website. So from: Not sure if this will work, but it’s worth a try. Hope this helps. :) |
