Now, instead of the shortcode, is it possible to get the actual code itself for the Paypal button ? How do I do this ?

Thanks Eduan – I have a few of them (12 are active). The new ones my developer put in are TinyMCE which added all kinds of features to my editor. Other new ones are PJW Page Excerpt and Ozh Better Feed. I think all the others are stuff like S2member, WordPress SEO etc. These were all installed before .

Do you know anything that might indicate one of these 3 is causing the problem ?

Thanks Cristian. I noticed that it is a Paypal Pro registration form. Does this mean we need to have Paypal Pro. We want to avoid using Paypal Pro. Pls clarify, much appreciated

This is a problem that users have had since a very long time. My killer developer cracked this problem over the weekend. I’m posting the solution here for the benefit of everyone.

This is how it is done…

STEP 1:-
As usual, the short code is generated by the S2Member Paypal post/page specific button area.
Example shortcode generated:

Step 2:-
Copy the code and paste it to a page and change the keyword BUTTON to URL (Look at output field)

Step 3:-
Save the page and click on view page to see the page output. In the page, you will see a similar URL too..

Simply copy the above url and make it as a hyperlink to a buy now image button or text. Done and it works….

Site is still under construction, but you can see the Paypal stuff. Clicking on the Paypal will take you directly to Paypal without the error. Now just so everyone is clear, this probelm generally happened only if you turned “encryption” on in the s2member settings and the Paypal side. If you don’t set the encryption to ON, then this problem does not seem to occur (at least for me).
