s2Member doesn’t add that link in the title bar of the widget. I’m guessing you added the HTML for it in the field for the widget’s public title.

Yeah, that’s a good idea, I may add an article about it. Thanks. :)

Dave, thanks a lot. I already emailed Jason about the bugs you reported in the other thread.

Since you seem to have the interface that’s not explained in the s2 instructions, would you mind making a quick screen recording to show how to enable recurring payments in PayPal Pro (PayFlow Editiion)? Only if it’s not too much to ask, of course. http://www.screenr.com/

Thanks! :)

Thanks for all the research and discovery, Dave! I’m emailing Jason now about the bug.

That’s a good idea. Sorry I missed that earlier.

You can also contact PayPal to find out how to change the notification URL for a subscription.

Excellent. :)

Ah ok. But then Jason’s hack alredy does what you need, right? It doesn’t affect the demotion itself, that should still happen.

Posted: Tuesday Jun 5th, 2012 at 10:28 pm #15620

You can only do that if you charge the first 6 months in one payment as the initial term of your subscription. In that case, you can apply the 50% coupon to just the trial amount using the [hilite mono]ta-only[/hilite] parameter, the coupons panel has an example you can see.

I know it’s not ideal to charge 6 months in one go, but PayPal doesn’t have a way to have a certain subscription price for a number of payments and then change to another price.

I see. That’s odd.

Do you have a different template for mobile or perhapes iPod Touch’s browser behavior a bit differently?

Maybe his browser is not accepting cookies? Or maybe it’s sending the person to a URL without the www, causing WP to think he’s not logged in? Knowledge Base » Don't mix www and without

I don’t have an iPhone Touch, so I can’t test this for you. :/

With PayPal® Pro integration, the value of this attribute also configures Max Failed Payments.

If you’re using PayPal Pro, you can set rra to 3 if you want.

You can reset the user’s password from his profile and then email it to him.

For the periodic email, you’ll have to customize it, this is not something s2 or WP do. The problem is that it has security complications, since you’d need to store the user passwords unencrypted so you can email them, and this is not good. WP stores passwords in an encrypted way that is not reversible, so you can’t used that.

You could just email the users periodically using a service like MailChimp, even if it doesn’t include the password. Video » s2Member (API List Servers)

I hope that helps. :)

No problem. :)

Not yet, sorry. I sent it again just in case.

No, they’re different. You need to enter the IPN URL and make sure you set it to the right version. Go to [hilite path]ClickBank Admin -> My Site -> Advanced Tools -> Instant Notification URL[/hilite] and enter the URL s2 gives you here [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› ClickBank® Options -› IPN Integration[/hilite], please.

Cool, thanks. :)

Ah, got ya.

Well, most leave the pro-form with its default look, although it’ll inherit the theme’s styles a bit.

Regarding the kinds of thing they’re selling, they’re all over the place: language learning, scrapbooking, babies, Linked In, card design, weightloss, etc.

If you browse the forum, you may find a URL to one of the user sites from time to time. :)

Permissions denied is not from the FTP, it’s from the exit in your code.

I don’t know why it’s not working. Did you verify that wp-load.php is being included properly? Try [hilite mono]include_once("/wordpress/wp-load.php");[/hilite] Not sure if it’ll make a difference, but that’ how I’d write it.

Does Employer_list.php use other files from the /employerbase folder? If not, why not just copy the code from Employer_list.php and paste it straight into the WP page you’re trying to put it in with an iframe?

The problem with the interface is that PayPal seems to be slowly rolling out a new interface, which some users have, but others not.

Jason has the interface that he described in the s2Member admin pages, he doesn’t have an account to see another interface. I have another interface in my PayPal account, which may or not be the one you have, but I don’t have PayPal Pro to check this anyway.

You’ll need to browse your interface, following the entries that make more sense to have the fields you’re looking for, or contact PayPal support asking them for the correct path. You can tell them the path s2Member points to and ask what the new path would be for it.

Yes, I understand. I’m not saying you or your users aren’t experiencing this, it’s just that I haven’t been able to reproduce it, so I don’t know what’s wrong yet. I’ll email Jason now so he takes a look, since he may be able to reproduce it, or at least make an educated guess about the source of the problem.

I see. So your code is:

[hilite pre_code]
[[s2If !is_user_logged_in()]

[[s2If current_user_is(s2member_level1)]

Welcome to Landscape Photography Magazine

You need a premium account (Level 2) to access the full content of this page.

Landscape Photography Magazine can be read on-line or downloaded as a pdf file for off-line reading at leisure on laptops, iPads and most small devices. Click here for details.

[/s2If]]

[[s2If current_user_can(access_s2member_level2)]
Level 2 page content goes here.
[/s2If]]
[/hilite]

Then the problem would be in the condition for users that are logged in, but aren’t at Level 1 or 2, i.e. 0, Subscribers. Change that condition to:

[hilite pre_code]
s2If is_user_logged_in() AND !current_user_can(access_s2member_level1)
[/hilite]

or

[hilite pre_code]
s2If current_user_is(s2member_level0) OR s2If current_user_is(s2member_level1)
[/hilite]

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Bob.

You’d have to find a string that matches the user profile URLs and add it to the URI restriction for Level 1.

Posted: Tuesday Jun 5th, 2012 at 7:55 pm #15591

Great. :)

Here’s where the RewriteBase is gotten in s2Member: s2member/includes/templates/cfg-files/s2member-files-no-gzip.php

[hilite pre_code]

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} (^|\?|&)s2member_file_download\=.+
RewriteRule .* - [E=no-gzip:1]

[/hilite]

Perhaps another plugin is filtering the output from [hilite mono]network_home_url()[/hilite] and s2Member got the wrong value. Could you try echoing this in a WP page to see what it outputs?

[hilite pre_code]

[/hilite]

Oh, not at all, I’m sorry I couldn’t resolve your question and you have to wait a bit longer.

About handling multiple gateways, it’s not something the current s2 can do, but the new s2 being developed may be able to.

Yeah, PayPal can be a pain to work with, but I’m glad you’re enjoying it.

I think that in PayPal Pro (PayFlow Edition) you have to enable the recurring payments service, but it should be from the PayPal Pro account.
