I see. Well, if you’re not using the automatic tax calculations, you can just include the tax in the price. Since you’ll know how much the tax is, just pass it as a custom variable in the shortcode and then using it in the confirmation email with [hilite mono]%%cv1%%[/hilite]. Would that help? |

You are using the buttons, right? This change didn’t apply to pro-forms. I just tried an 18 months trial for a button and didn’t get an error.

Hi Keala. Right, if you use the shortcode for the button, it’d need to be in the WordPress installation where s2Member is. You can create a button over at PayPal, integrated with s2Member, which you can use elsewhere too. Knowledge Base » Using PayPal created buttons Or you can use the shortcode in your s2Member site and copy the code for the button that you get when loading the page where you used it. Make sure you’re logged out of your account when you do this, though, or it’ll be tied to it. You can even output a URL or link with the shortcode, instead of a button. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Shortcode Attributes -> output[/hilite] I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Brian. You could use conditionals to give a different link based on the user’s level. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Simple/Shortcode Conditionals[/hilite] I hope that helps. :) |

Thanks, webboy. So you’re using that button, do you have a PHP execution plugin installed? Otherwise the PHP in that button’s code won’t work. And what exactly is the problem? I’m not sure from the first post. Are users checking out successfully but then not being able to register in your site? Are they not being allowed to register or they aren’t taken to the registration page? Make sure you have logging enabled, so we can get more data from the transactions to help determine the problem, please. Hello boudewijn.
Did you email us or did you use the Lost Password tool? We haven’t received any emails from you in our support address. I’m notifying Accounts to take a look at yours as soon as possible.
Did you double check your PayPal configuration with s2Member to make sure there are no errors there? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options[/hilite] Do you have logging enabled so we can look at your log entries for those users that weren’t upgraded? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite] Are you using PayPal buttons or pro-forms? If pro-forms, do you have PayPal Pro or are you using Express Checkout? Did you test your PayPal payments before going live? Did those work fine? Looking forward to your reply. |

Hi Brian. You can use a bit of PHP to determine how many days are left in the current month, and set those days as the initial term in your button, which would make the monthly payments start on the 1st of the month. http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1604 I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Richard. Correct, that is a JavaScript problem caused by a theme or plugin. When it’s in the admin area, it was the theme almost every time. Could you try switching to the default theme (TwentyEleven) and trying those admin pages again? Thanks! |

Hi guys. Yes, custom profile fields are available in the free version of s2Member. That is a JavaScript error, probably caused by your theme. Could you try, as a test, switching back to the default theme and trying that admin page again? Thanks! |

Hi webboy. Sorry, the code didn’t come through right. You need to post it between [hilite mono]<code>[/hilite] tags. It’s better to use the shortcode, though, because then the button can be encrypted. I’m not sure I understood what the problem is. You have the button and it works fine, the person goes pay to PayPal and then comes back but can’t register? |

Hi Arthur. What you can do is create a page which you’ll protect with a Specific Post/Page Access Restriction. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Specific Post/Page Access Restrictions[/hilite] This video explains that restriction well (the interface may have changed a bit since the video): In the page you restrict and sell independently, you can place the protected file you’re selling, and use a download key so it can be downloaded by the person although he doesn’t have an s2Member Level. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Advanced Download Restrictions[/hilite] I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Ron. I’m not sure from that info. If you could, please post a screenshot of your restrictions and the URL that gave you the 404, please. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options[/hilite] No, we don’t have a mode where the restrictions are set but not active. Once you apply the restriction, it goes live. You can create some pages for testing your restrictions and then add the rest of the stuff to protect. Or you can create a dev installation of the site to work out your setup and then, after you’re satisfied, copy it to the live site. I hope that helps. :) |

By the way, got the test card, but now I don’t know if you want to go ahead with that testing if the product wasn’t approved. Let me know. |

Well, I’m not familiar with these, but I heard PayDotCom and JVzoo are alternatives to ClickBank. Not sure how to integrate them with s2Member right now, although the JVzoo guys were working on it and they may already support it, but I haven’t checked. You can have s2Member with PayPal and add an affiliate management solution like iDevAffiliate, but that won’t make the payments or handle refunds for you, if I’m not mistaken, just do the tracking. To fully remove s2Member with all its data, disable the de Deactivation Safeguards and then go ahead deactivating it. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Deactivation Safeguards[/hilite] s2Member is not the one styling that form the way you show in the screenshot, though. It’s somewhere else, most probably the theme. If you post the URL to it, I can help you find what is styling it that way. |

Jason is looking into this to udpate it if needed. For now, you can create a button over at PayPal, it only takes a couple of minutes and you won’t have to wait for the maintainance release. :) |

Thanks, got your email. Was what you sent me the whole log or just the transaction with the error? I see the 10501 error you mentioned earlier. What’s weird is that you say other transactions went through fine.
I suggest that you contact PayPal support about this, seems to be a problem on their end. Let us know how it goes, please. :) |

You mean for that specific user or total for all users? For the specific user there is a count kept in the database, for the current term (the term you specified in the downloads restriction: n unique downloads every x days). |

I see. Thanks for reporting it. I emailed Jason to take a look at this. You can generate a button over at PayPal too. I tried it earlier and it didn’t give me an error for that initial term, so they probably changed the limits at some point after Jason created the shortcode generator. This article tells you how to create a PayPal button that integrates with s2Member: Knowledge Base » Using PayPal created buttons I hope that helps! |

s2Member doesn’t have this, but you could script something in PHP to do it, or find an existing script that lists files in a dir and use it in your page. |

Oh, I think I understand now. This may help them integrate with s2Member: http://www.s2member.com/codex/stable/s2member/api_functions/package-summary/ |
