The order button is an HTML form with several lines of hidden fields and comments, all of which are incorrectly getting an HTML linebreak, which is what causes the empty lines in your page. The cancellation button is just a linked image, so even if it gets a linebreak incorrectly, it’s not significant.
Glad you found the plugin causing the problem. You don’t necessarily need to remove it, you could contact the developer and tell him about the problem so it can be fixed. Another option is to use button encryption, which doesn’t solve the content filtering problem by the other plugin, but at least shortens the button’s code considerably and there’re a lot less lines to add a linebreak to. Actually, encryption is a good idea even if you didn’t have this problem, because it prevents users from being able to edit the order details. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Encryption[/hilite] Another thing you can try is edit the button’s HTML template to minimize it, removing all newlines and HTML comments from it. /wp-content/plugins/s2member/includes/templates/buttons/paypal-checkout-button.php Another thing you can try is deactivating Lizatom Shortcodes in just the page where the button is, using something like the Plugin Organizer. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/plugin-organizer/ I hope that helps. :) |

So the purchase doesn’t have a problem, everything works great during the transaction, it’s only the notification that’s failing? Did you follow the suggestions in this article? Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips And are you using the post-registration auto-login hack? |

Hi Alex. When there’s a paid registration (signup), s2Member will send the signup confirmation email. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Signup Confirmation Email[/hilite] That’s besides any email PayPal may also send. The New User email gets sent after registration (paid or free). [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Email Configuration -> New User[/hilite] If one of them is not sent when they should, these articles may help find the reason: And keep logging enabled, please, so they help us see if there’s a problem with the transactions. Hey Dave. I just did a search and found these filters in s2member\includes\classes\paypal-notify-in-subscr-or-wa-w-level.inc.php: [hilite mono]"ws_plugin__s2member_signup_email_sbj"[/hilite] and [hilite mono]"ws_plugin__s2member_signup_email_msg"[/hilite]. Does that help? |

Kev, you may also want to post the job in sites like jobs.wordpress.net, elance.com or odesk.com. |

The default Auto EOT Behavior is a demotion, but you can change it to an account deletion if you prefer it. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Automatic EOT Behavior[/hilite] I hope that helps. :) |

I’m not sure I understood your post. Could you explain? I’m afraid I’m not familiar with the Google Content Experiments integration… I see “header” mentioned in the interface in your screenshot. Not sure if it helps, but did you see this? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› PayPal® PDT / Auto Return -> Auto-Return Page Template[/hilite] |

Did you post the PHP code in the text tab? Don’t switch to the visual tab or the code won’t work. Now, if you have the PHP execution plugin correctly installed, PHP should execute… You can also try other PHP exec plugins. |

You could search for a plugin that’d add this feature. Here’s one that may work: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ban-hammer/screenshots/ I hope that helps. :) |

The export tool doesn’t have such a filter… Not sure if the AMR Users plugin would have that. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/amr-users/ You could certainly write your own script to query this from the database. If you need help, you could post a job in a freelancer site like jobs.wordpress.net, odesk.com or elance.com. |

You can upload them to your server and link to them here.
Still post the shortcode you used, please. Any other info that may help me understand what you did when you got that result, would be useful.
As you could see, removing the user in WP doesn’t end the subscription in PayPal. You can end the subscriptions from PayPal, either as the business or the customer. If all purchases were under your name, how to tell them apart… You could change the pro-form’s description for each test, maybe? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Shortcode Attributes -> desc[/hilite]
By the way, 1 cent transactions are much cheaper to test with, you may want to do that instead of full price. |

Ah, don’t worry then. As an admin, s2Member doesn’t hide anything from you. But what you don’t want is other users to see the link to the registration page, and they won’t. Even if they found it or typed it, they wouldn’t be shown the page, instead I think they’d be redirected to the login one. |

Thanks so much for the update and sharing your findings, Joe! I also hate when someone doesn’t ever post his solution after posting the problem, especially when they do post to say it’s solved but not saying how! lol Yeah, plugin conflicts are a pain, but it’s part of dealing with WordPress, sadly. |

So [hilite mono]the_sub_field[/hilite] function just returns a string or does it echo it? I see [hilite code][/hilite] without an echo, although that’s obviously what’ll happen. But if it echoes, can you really use it to set the value of [hilite mono]"file_download"[/hilite] in the array? |

I see. I wonder what happened then… A log of that would help. Yeah, enabling logging is a good idea. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite] That way, if it happens again, we’ll have more info at hand to sort out what the reason was. I hope you don’t have the problem again, though. :) |

Or you can submit your site’s info through the contact form so we can take a look directly. s2Member® » Private Contact Form I looked up that error code for Authorize.Net and found this: http://www.authorize.net/support/merchant/Transaction_Response/Response_Reason_Codes_and_Response_Reason_Text.htm#101
Do you get the error with all transactions or only some and the rest go through just fine? Did you verify your Authorize.Net integration is all correct? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Authorize.Net® Options[/hilite] Have you asked Authorize.Net about it? |

The payment notification would work for paid registrations (signups) too. The payment notification happens every time there’s a payment. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Notifications -› Payment Notifications[/hilite]
It’s weird that the notification isn’t working… In the log entries you quoted before, the signup notification was logged as processed:
Did you add your email address to it? Did you get the notification email? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Notifications -› Payment Notifications -> Email[/hilite] Did you happen to install the post-registration auto-login hack? That one’s known to cause the notifications to not happen. |

Do you mean s2Member custom profile fields? Hmm… I haven’t had a report about them not working in IE7 or 8 before. Do you have this same problem with just WP and s2Member, no other plugins or custom theme? I wonder if the problem is caused by a conflict introduced by something else. No, s2Member never hid the bar. No plugin to recommend either, but you could Google it or just try a few. :) |
