Hello rpvp,

For this you’re gonna need to use s2Member PHP conditionals, which you can find under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Advanced PHP Conditionals, and you’re gonna need to modify your theme’s files in order to show it, or not depending if the user is logged in.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello Carmen,

Could you please find out exactly what kind of PayPal account you have? If you’re not sure where to check, contact PayPal and ask them if they could please enable DPRP in your account (what’s necessary for recurring payments I believe).

Make sure they don’t get confused with the accounts, I’ve often see the problem (in these forums) that they upgrade the your wrong PayPal account and problems like that.

Hello Matt,

I’m afraid this isn’t controlled by s2Member, or WordPress. Neither s2Member or WordPress have this behavior by default so you need to integrate whatever you want with BuddyPress or whatever plugin you’re using.

So tell me, are you using BuddyPress? If yes then we really can’t provide any help unless it’s directly related to s2Member.

Hello Scott,

This behavior is something that’s controlled by your theme. If you want to use s2Member’s login widget there you will need to get the pro version of s2Member and insert it in your theme manually.

Alternatively you can get a theme that already has this implemented. Or implement it yourself, of course.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello karlene,

If you choose non-recurring then the user will only pay once. If you want the user to continue paying you need to make it a recurring button.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello there,

Well one thing you can do is simply search the forums using the website’s search feature. Which you can find almost on the top right corner of the website.

Hope this helps. :)

Well, you might be interested in this article for that: Knowledge Base » Using variables in a shortcode

Basically with PHP you need to check what language the user has selected (or where he is) and change the value depending on that.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello Susan,

With post extracts you mean the post summaries of sorts for each post? You can manipulate these with s2Member under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Alternative View Protection if I’m not mistaken.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello Ronnie,

It’s not that they’re avoiding it, rather your bumps are making it go more down the list, they read them in the order in which they come in, oldest first, with your bumps you’re making it new over and over again. So yeah, that’s it. ;)

Did you also upgrade the pro version? You need to upgrade the free version (automatically) and also the pro version (manually), unless you go under some section of s2Member where it’ll offer you to upgrade the pro version automatically.

Oh I’m sorry, I forgot to tell you how.

You would crank that up under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Unique IP Access Restrictions.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello Andaluzo,

This can easily be achieved by using a custom image in your button shortcode.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello Anthony,

You can upgrade your s2Member account, only paying the difference. Go under the My Account page and look for an upgrade button there.

Hope this helps. :)

1. Does S2 E-mail members letting them know that they have expired CC that needs to be updated, if so when? Does it do it through Aweber?
3. Does it send a confirmation e-mail that someone is cancelled? How do we know? Do we get an e-mail too?

Currently s2Member doesn’t do this, however you can implement Bruce’s hack to do this: http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/setting-up-eot-notifications/

2. Our current system attempts to charge an expired card 8 days in a row before the account becomes invalid, Can we do the same with S2, if so how do we do that?

You can’t do this with s2Member I’m afraid, you could maybe implement this in, but I can’t provide any advice on how. :/

However, I face another issue. A user has made the payment through Paypal, but he hasn’t registered after making the payment. This of course means, he is not registered on the site. Isn’t there a way to automatically redirect back to the site after making the payment so that a user can complete the registration. I stand to lose users because of this, as they assume making the payment provides them with the access.

I can understand your problem. I’m afraid without the pro version you’re gonna have to implement this manually, although since the user is being sent an email you can tell him there that, or you could maybe you could implement my own hack to login them automatically… http://eduantech.com/2012/09/auto-login-after-registration/

Also, is there a way to provide an onclick or onsubmit javascript function to the Paypal button?

Not with the shortcode as far as I’m aware, unless you know the name of the ID of the image or something like that. You can use the HTML version of the button but it’s not recommended.

Hope this helps. :)
