Update: I replicated our site to a clean wp install. As you can see, were having a hard time troubleshooting this. I will contact the theme developer about this. |

Not wasting time, waiting for s2member, ive spent my time, and money trying to get a step closer to figure this out. When in the s2member plugin, trying to create e.g. a paypal button, we see this in google console:
If we then try and click Generate Button Code, we get this error added to the console:
After confirming that our apache installation is compatible, not running mod_security, and not conflicting with suhosin, we had to move onto the theme. Everything in our theme, by the eyes of the developer, looks OK, and should NOT conflict in any way with s2member not being able to load its js (script).
You have login credentials sent to your private support inbox, and i do, and I cannot stress this loud enough, I DO expect you guys to take a close look into this soon! Ive had this error through 2 updates now! |

Hi Eduan. Yes, im aware of the troubleshooting tips, but since were running a live site for streaming, we simply cant disable plugins etc.. Our installations and all plugins are UTD and so forth. The only thing I can image, is that SOMEHOW our theme doesnt let the js load…. |

Well said Joseph.. Ive requested this feature as well.. I speak gods honest truth when I say that it pains me to see s2member suck due to more and more half-hearted coding just to support more and more wordpress bullshit!! No offence meant, but this is the truth of the matter – atleast from my perspective… I also see this in the support of the product.. Resolving an issue can take days now, whereas a year ago it was usually solved within minutes.. Support staff only read half the content of our issues – when we ask in East, they answer in West – so to speak.. Are they overworked with all the arising issues of multisupport in this, again once upon a time, greate plugin? I think they are! Back to roots!!! |

Like you posted, but explained without references to pictures and what not: For PayPal Pro Forms, if you set an RRA=0 it will NOT demote/delete the user if the first payment fails. It will in fact retry to get the payment indefinately every 5 days untill the payment has gone through. You HAVE to make the RRA a number between 1 and 3, depending on how many time paypal should retry to get payment, every 5 days.. Converted to plain english: Your non-eligable members can potentially have free access – indefinately, to your content if you set an RRA=0, as long as they dont have a valid creditcard on file with paypal!! THEREFOR, you HAVE to keep an eye out for PayPal emails telling you that a payment failed, and MANUALLY delete/downgrade the member AS WELL as deleting their payment plan in your PayPal account, cause I am pretty darn sure that NO business oriented person would EVER allow 5 days of free access to their content! And a side note to this: Its PLAIN stupid!.. A value of 0 should mean exactly that.. 0 Retries.. |

Sorry for the long wait. But I had to wait for a 12hour membership to be sold, and we mostly get 1 month memberships. I will use the contact form and send you the logs and my s2-hacks.php |

Status.. Its been five days, and Paypal couldnt charge him again, his membership is still active and paypal wants to try again in another 5 days. What do I need to do to: Make sure that something like this cannot happen again, as in, if paypal cant charge a member his account should be deleted right away? I will manually delete his membership now, and delete his recurring account with us at paypal. |

@ Christian.. I think you need to read this thread again ;) The issue isnt so much CF.. RTMP is secure enough by it self. What were talking about here, is the KEYPAIR for FILE (bucket streaming) streaming. that is generated by S2Member. For download security reasons, this keypair should not be valid after it has been used 1 time, or it should most definately expire in a matter of seconds. Example from content source is:
If users grab this code, they can distribute it around the net, and/or download YOUR video file. This has nothing to do with RTMP streaming as you suggest in your response above. So, like I said, to better protect our content, you should tell us how, or develop a setting that would render the Key-Pair useless after 1 click, or expires after.. lets say 10 seconds.. Preferably, it should expire after 1st click. |

Yes, that is correct. It is better to use RTMP ONLY.. It is possible to download the videos with the file fallback. Perhaps you should ask support HOW you can protect videos with file fallback (the best thing would be to have the key-pair generated by S2member to be valid for only 5 seconds or something) I dont know how S2member handles this. |

I have inspected your video: TRADING STRATEGY – VIDEO 2 Its encoded correctly, and your shortcode for rtmp and file fallback is 100% correct. You might want to try and NOT use cloudfront and see if that helps. In your shortcode, use [s2Stream player="jwplayer-v6" etc etc /]. |
