Thank you for your inquiry.

Can I have a user in an s2 Level also be a wordpress Contributor role for a single post?

The short answer is no. This would require custom code to accomplish this and probably a front-end Post editing field to accomplish what you’re looking for. You would need to have a developer set something like this up for you. If you can get a developer to set up the editing mechanism, he could use s2Member’s Custom Capabilities + Advanced PHP Conditionals to accomplish the restriction to the ability to edit/create Posts/Pages, but s2Member itself does not have this capability built in.

Multi site network is not an option as i was after simple integration or protection of the /community/ directory

Are you running BuddyPress in another installation of WordPress in the /community/ directory? If you are then the only way for s2Member to protect the content on this site is to install s2Member there too.

Thank you for your inquiry.

There’s no way to hook a coupon code directly to a link, but I do believe that iDevAffiliate has a way to offer coupon codes which will automatically track a User’s purchase through an affiliate if they use the Coupon. You could also do that through the s2Member file here:

Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Pro Coupon Codes -› Affiliate Coupon Codes

Alternatively if you’d really like your affiliates to be able to automatically fill in the coupon field, you’d have to have a developer do so through JavaScript, or using the information provided here:

Thank you for reporting this important issue.

Do you have your Login Welcome Page set? Make sure this isn’t set to wp-login.php.

See: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Login Welcome Page

Are you trying to log in directly through /wp-login.php, or are there extra variables on the end, like ?redirect_to=/..?

The only problem with pro-forms is that when I was using the buttons, I got errors. Will that happen with the forms too? I had to resort to generating the buttons from PayPal.

You shouldn’t get errors at all, even with PayPal Buttons. What error message were you getting? You should figure out how to keep that error from occuring, and then you should be able to use s2Member’s Pro Forms to accomplish what you’re looking for.

Could you tell me where I add the code… to my e-mail? Seems logical that I should place it after ‘charges today’ but I don’t know enough about which code is parsed first.

It shouldn’t matter to s2Member where you put this code. You can put it anywhere you feel it belongs. :-)

I reset the IP restriction logs and it seems to work. Is this ok to clear the logs on a regular basis?

It is okay to clear these logs every once in awhile when you need to, but it shouldn’t be necessary. If you want to keep this error from popping up as often, you should change the settings here:

Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Unique IP Access Restrictions

That was 2 days ago, I couldn’t wait on this for a response as I wasnt sure I’d get one and time was of the essence.

I see. Well in the future you can get a quicker response by letting us know you sent the details here in the forums. We don’t normally check private contact submissions unless we’re looking for them. I only just noticed that you submitted this.

Thanks for the info. What you’re looking for is any 50* or 40* responses from Amazon’s connections. I’d be happy to take a quick look at what you’re getting back. Could you send that info here:

s2Member® » Private Contact Form

Let us know when you’ve done that so we can review it.

Details Received.

I’m taking a look now.

It looks like the Dashboard and FTP logins have been changed. We’ll need to be able to log in to diagnose the issue. Could you give us the updated logins?

Thanks for your patience.

However, I’m afraid that we’re not able to assist in this regard, due to our Support Policy. I hope you understand, if we had to debug integrations with every WordPress plugin we would have no time to move forward with the development of s2Member. You’ll have to ask the other plugin’s developer for a fix on this.

So sorry for the delay in response! My list of threads buried this and Cristian just notified me of this. I did take a look at your installation again, but I’m unable to find the issue here. I’m going to ask Jason about what might be causing this.

We use the same custom fields on the non-Pro signup forms and they are submitted OK there, what are the differences between those two forms? Is the validation different?

Custom fields through buttons don’t go through the payment gateway, and are processed by a different file in s2Member. The issue here isn’t actually with the validation, it’s that s2Member isn’t actually getting any information from the $_POST variables except what you’re seeing. I’m not sure what would cause this at all.

Thank you for reporting this important issue.

I’d recommend turning on logging on your installation, and see if there is something causing a connection failure in your HTTP logs.

See: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Log Files (Debug) -› Logging Configuration

This isn’t something I’d heard of before, you might also check for JavaScript errors on the page that you’re using JW Player on by opening your browser’s console (f12 on most browsers).

Is there any way I can purchase S2member Pro and get a 50% discount just like the previously issued coupon codes?

You can use the coupon code on the checkout forms here:

Thank you for your inquiry.

No, we haven’t added this yet. We’re working on development of the next major version of s2Member currently and staying away from adding too much to the current release of s2Member. I don’t have confirmation that this ability will be in this version of s2Member, but I will ask the development team if it’s possible.

Thanks!

Thank you for your inquiry.

This is still in consideration. The holdup here is that WordPress actually advertises the ability to log in on two devices simultaneously as a feature rather than a limitation. I’ll bump this at the development level, but currently you’ll have to use the solutions provided in the thread you mentioned.

Can I do conversion testing with S2?

s2Member doesn’t track conversions itself, but you can integrate something like Google Analytics to achieve this with s2Member’s API Tracking or API Notifications.

Does S2 enable me to work with one or both of these tools so I can test my heart out and (hopefully) boost sales?

You could integrate these tools, yes. I’m not 100% sure on the way to integrate them but I know that Users in the past have done so without much issue. We don’t have a direct integration with either of these services.

It would be great if s2member could work with CCBill buttons and Regional Pricing in the future

I’ve brought this up with our development team. I’d say that this would be pretty unlikely to happen any time soon. We will continue to support the current integration with ccBill but we’re not looking to expand that integration, and instead move onto more flexible solutions like Stripe. It’s not totally written-off, but unlikely.

I also heard you are working to implement Verotel Payment Processors – that would make this software very popular for business dealing with high risk transactions.

I agree. I’m not completely sure if this integration is still being done but I can tell you that in the next major release of s2Member (a rewrite), we will be working on extending the ability to integrate other payment gateways and make it easier to integrate any payment gateway you need.

Thanks!

Thank you for your inquiry.

For example, would I simply change the config to this:

This depends on the way that eJunkie handles the custom attribute. If it’s setting up the custom attribute to be ejunkie.com this might be the case. However this processor is meant purely to be used with s2Member so I can’t tell you if it’d work with eJunkie. I’d recommend having a developer take a look at this for you.

Sorry about the delay!

Is there a way to code in the customer IP address to CCBill button? Please find Online Checking and EuroDebit button below for reference. Unfortunately form that it links to doesn’t allow customer to select one of 3 membership options (30, 90 and 365 days), but I figure it’s just a matter of using different form linked in the button. I did that before we started to experiment with dynamic pricing.

I’m afraid I’m not very experienced with altering ccBill Buttons as you’re looking to do. ccBill is not a very popular gateway with s2Member and I haven’t heard of using the buttons this way in the past. I can tell you that if you’re wanting to get the User’s IP into your buttons, you’d edit this file, using the information provided in this article:

Pre Sale FAQs » Is it possible to modify s2Member® Pro Form templates?

/s2member-pro/includes/templates/buttons/ccbill-checkout-button.php

You mentioned having dynamic pricing. To do this you’ll have to pass variables through the shortcode. This article goes over this more for PayPal, but it can be adopted to work with ccBill as well:

Knowledge Base » Using Variables In A Shortcode

I have switched on debug in wp config, and I get the following message, so there appears to be some caching problem somewhere.

This is just a non-fatal error that shows up with WP Debug enabled, because s2Member does not support WP Debug being on. This isn’t affecting anything with your site’s caching.

I just took a look at your site’s source code, and it is in fact linking s2Member’s CSS and JavaScript in the source code. However this file is not being fired. It looks to me like a permisisons issue with your s2member-o.php file. Make sure that the permissions on this file is 775 in via FTP, please.

Hi Bruce … Thanks for your helpful reply. I’ll do some experiments. If you have a chance can you expand on answer #2 on custom fields. is the flexibility whether or not to show the field (ex some kind of premium content) or can it also be to not show the post/page at all to some members based on the entry in the field? Ex. if a custom field entry says “draft report” I only want certain people to see the post. More people can see late when the field changes to “final report”.

If you check out this section of your Dashboard with s2Member installed, you’ll see the generator for these fields:

Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields

The option that you’re changing here is this one. It only works with Membership Levels, and it’s a straightforward if a User is this level, they can see this form:

1) I know it’s possible to accept credit cards via PayPal, but not everyone has PP. Is it possible to accept cards directly via a payment gateway like WorldPay or any other gateway for that matter?

You can accept credit cards through all of s2Member’s Payment Gateways. s2Member supports PayPal, Authorize.Net, ccBill, ClickBank, Google Checkout, and AliPay. s2Member doesn’t support WorldPay. Sorry about that.

2) Are there any statistics I can see? You know, stuff like “this month XYZ people signed up, revenue was bla bla, ABC people unsubscribed”, etc. Basically, are there reports that give me a basic idea of the performance?

Not within s2Member no, but you can hook s2Member up to something like Google Analytics or another program to get these reports. You can do that with API Tracking. See: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Tracking -› Signup Tracking Codes
