I don’t know if PayPal lets you configure what URL to return the user to after a cancellation. You could look for that in your PayPal settings.

When returned after the cancellation, it’d be good to see if any variables unique to the cancellation are added to the URL. If so, you could create a hack in the must-use plugins folder (/wp-content/mu-plugins/) that checks for that variable and, if present, redirects to the Memberhip Options page.

I hope that helps. :)

If you need to change several fields in the button’s code, then you’d need to use JavaScript for the dropdown to work.

Yes, you can use PayPal created buttons integrated with s2Member, here are the instructions: Knowledge Base » Using PayPal created buttons

I hope that helps. :)

Cool. Yeah, that’s one way. :)

There’s also an s2Member function you can use: http://www.s2member.com/codex/stable/s2member/api_functions/package-functions/#src_doc_get_user_field%28%29

[hilite pre_code]
$firm_name = get_user_field('firm_name');

You mean in the profile page? Since it’s a new meta field you’re creating, you’d probably have to edit the profile page to show it too.

Hi Tyron.

What are you using for the signup form you linked to? It doesn’t look like you’re using an s2Member pro-form.

Nathan, could you provide your site’s login info so it’s available to Jason when he gets to this ticket and tries to investigate your problem? s2Member® » Private Contact Form

Thanks!

Ah, okay. Then I don’t know, since it doesn’t seem to be something that’s being done by s2Member.

You should first try to find how to reproduce the problem and then could do the plugins test to find the one causing it. Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips -> Plugins

Also, can you address my second question? (I cannot seem to find a way to suppress the login welcome page from showing in the main nav menu – it does not make contextual sense for a site visitor/non-subscriber to see that in the site’s nav)

You can hide protected pages (Login Welcome is protected at Level 0) from the navigation menus. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Alternative View Protection -> Nav Menus[/hilite]

To give it a custom title, you’d do something like this:

<?php echo s2member_pro_login_widget(array('title' => 'My Custom Title')); ?>

To translate the strings, create this dir/file: /wp-content/mu-plugins/s2hacks.php

<?php

add_filter('gettext_with_context', 's2_translation', 10, 4);
function s2_translation($translated, $original, $context, $domain)
{
	if ($domain === 's2member' && $context === 's2member-front')
		if ($original === 'Original')
			$translated = 'Translated';

	return $translated;
}

Change the original and translated strings to the ones you want. You can do that for each string repeating those two lines in the same hack.

You may find useful information in the Translations forum too: http://www.s2member.com/forums/forum/community/translations/

I hope that helps.

So you’re registering a new user account and logging in, and you want to see the admin pages? But was the new user account you registered an administrator? Or are you logging into your original admin account?

Did you set a Login Welcome page? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Login Welcome Page[/hilite]

If you’re not the admin, and aren’t being shown the page you specified as the Login Welcome page, please watch this: Video » s2Member (Login Welcome Page Conflicts?)

I hope that helps.

No problem. I’m glad I could help you. :)

You’d need to find the code where the link to that image is, and edit it, for each image.

I saw Jason take care of a few emails yesterday, so I hope he’ll be back today to take care of the rest, including yours.

To get an s2Member custom profile field value in your hack, you can use one of these functions:

http://www.s2member.com/codex/stable/s2member/api_functions/package-functions/#src_doc_get_user_field()
http://www.s2member.com/codex/stable/s2member/api_functions/package-functions/#src_doc_get_s2member_custom_fields()

I hope that helps. :)

Would like to thank you guys first for the great plugin. I am recommending it to all my clients now who need this kind of functionality.

Thanks for the kudos!

That’s odd. The signup confirmation email would happen on payment, the auto-login happens right after registration, which comes later. Are you using the pro-forms?

Could you let me see your log entries for the transaction with that problem, please? (x’ing out any private info) [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite]

Thanks.

Genie, I couldn’t tell from that log what’s causing the problem. I’d like to see the rest of the logs, could you please send the FTP login? s2Member® » Private Contact Form

Also, did you try the server check tool Raam mentioned? If not, I can do it after you sent the FTP login info.

Just to make sure there isn’t a plugin causing this problem, could you test deactivating the other plugins and trying another test transaction to see if it goes well?

Hi Johnny.

Yes, it’s how many installations use the s2Member Pro add-on what matters for the license you need, so the Single Site License would be enough in your case.

If you chose to upgrade to the Unlimited Sites License later, you can just pay the difference. You’ll find a link for the upgrade in your Account page. http://www.s2member.com/account/

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Juan Pablo.

Am I correct with my thought?

You’re right. If you can’t have PayPal Pro or Authorize.Net, you won’t be able to get payments on your site. It’s just one of the s2Member Pro features, but it may be the most important one for some site owners.

And i have a second question… If i want to avoid the 20% limit for upgrades or downgrades account… Could i ask the user to manually cancel the recurring payment via the button that s2member give me to do tht… and then ask him to upgrade to the plan he want? in this case the Paid Subscr. ID should be different right?

That’s correct. This is what the pro-form does automatically to avoid the 20% limit: end the previous subscription and start a new one. In your case it’d have to be done by the user, but it’d work.

Let us know if you have more questions. :)

Hi Thomas.

You can style it through CSS, or you can edit the template.

Hi Jerry.

What questions do you have? I’ll try to answer them all.

Basically, after installing, you set a Membership Options Page and a Login Welcome Page.

[hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Login Welcome Page[/hilite]
[hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Membership Options Page[/hilite]

Then protect the pages/posts you want with one of the restrictions, and then give/sell that required level to your users.

[hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options[/hilite]

If you sell the access, you have to configure the payment gateway integration and generate the button/pro-form to charge the user.

Video » s2Member (PayPal® Options/Buttons)
[hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Other Gateways[/hilite]

I hope that helps. :)

Yes, if you do that, then no notification from PayPal would tied to his account, EOT wouldn’t be set, and demotion would not happen. Removing the subscr. ID from his profile won’t end the subscription over at PayPal, which you need to end there.

I hope that helps. :)

Your theme’s style is using the HTML tag [hilite mono]input[/hilite] as one of the selectors, so the button, which is an input in the HTML form, will be styled by it. What you can do, is style it with a more specific selector so that it overrides the theme’s.

There’s a list of gateways that have been requested, and some are being added to the new major release, but I can’t give any names or dates yet, sorry. :/
