Hi Steve.

s2Member Pro does have a coupon codes feature for its pro-forms, but its only limits are date based, not uses. This is something we’ll add in the future, but is not available yet. :/

You’re welcome. :)

Hi m b.

I understand why you’d want to do the popup instead of being redirected to the Membership Options Page. I’m afraid that’s not the way s2Member does it, so you will need to customize your installation to achieve it. You can post a job for a freelancer in sites like jobs.wordpress.net, elance.com or odesk.com.

Hi Evan.

PayPal Standard, PayPal Express Checkout, PayPal Pro or ClickBank will accept Visa, Master or PayPal. I don’t know which are available in Hong Kong, though.

PayPal Standard is in the free version of s2Member, but the others are added by s2Member Pro.

I hope that helps. :)

I just migrated my website,

Was s2Member migrated with the site, or did you add it afterwards?

when i activate s2member, all my users disappeared

That’s very strange. You mean in the users list?

and i cant not login my WP,its say: ERROR: Invalid username or incorrect password.

What do you mean by can’t login? You mean you can’t login to your admin account, or your users can’t login?

These problems are definitely not something that happens in a normal installation of s2Member, there must be something else at play here.

If you deactivate the other plugins and leave just s2Member, do you still have these problems?

Hi Irina.

I asked Kajabi support what has to be done to set it all up and they said that I need to “use the custom cart and create a code in wordpress to send the data to Kajabi via an HTTP Post”

You could try the Notifications API. Video » s2Member (API Tracking/Notifications)

It sends the data via GET, not POST, so you’d need to have a script that receives the GET data and then forwards it via POST to Kajabi, I guess.

I hope that helps. :)

Actually, we have the single site license of S2Member on our website. the person before me installed the plugin, but I don’t have access to the username and password that was used before. So I had to create a new account and can only post my questions on the “Pre-Sale” thread.

Was this person your developer? If so, did he purchase the license to your name or his?

You should get the login access to the paid account, because you also need it to update the plugin when new releases are available.

I’m glad it helped! :)

Yeah, it could be written another way, but what matters first is that it works. You have a syntax error, there are no curly brackets around the [hilite mono]else[/hilite] block.

Chris, is that the email you entered in WordPress? [hilite path]WP Admin -> Settings -> General -> Email Address[/hilite]

The registration form you offer is one column. I want to have multiple column.

You can customize the template for the pro-form.

Hi Joy.

Is there a way to add check boxes to the Custom Capabilities field on the “add a member” page?

No, s2Member doesn’t have this yet, and it wasn’t in our feature requests either, but I’m adding it now. Thanks! :)

Posted: Tuesday Oct 16th, 2012 at 10:06 am #28544

Thanks for the feature request, Chris. It’s in the list. :)

If you can’t wait, you may create your own integration for it using the Notifications API. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / List Servers -› Other Integration Methods[/hilite]

Hi Dimitrios.

So you protected the page with the Specific Post restriction and then generated a button to sell it, right?

Could you post the URL from the address bar when redirected to the Membership Options Page? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Membership Options Page Variables (MOP Vars)[/hilite]

If you generate a link to it and try it, do you get sent to the Membership Options Page? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Specific Post/Page Access Links[/hilite]

Posted: Tuesday Oct 16th, 2012 at 9:44 am #28537

Okay. Let me know when you hear back regarding that then, please. :)

Hi Tony.

You mean with the Download Restriction? No, that’s part of the features, it’s not something you need to custom code, so there wouldn’t be a conflict. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Basic Download Restrictions[/hilite]

They are actual prodcuts. They are tickets that are mailed to people. People would need to select a qty.

Ah, got it.

Do you guys know anyone that can tie in a cart plugin for reasonable?

No, I don’t, but you can try freelancer sites like jobs.wordpress.net, elance.com or odesk.com. :)

Hi Brian.

s2Member doesn’t add a users directory yet. You’d need a plugin that provides this, or code your own.

Here’s one that supports s2Member’s profile fields:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/amr-users/
http://wpusersplugin.com/3086/user-lists-and-filtering-with-s2member-fields/

I hope that helps. :)

Yes, that’s correct. Someone with the ccap would also be logged in. :)

Hi Christine.

You need to fill out the fields and follow the documentation in the PayPal Options page. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options[/hilite]. Do the panels for PayPal Account Details, IPN, PDT, Auto-Return.

Regarding the API, there are PayPal Pro accounts that use the PayPal Pro API and others that use the PayFlow API. You need to ask PayPal which one you have. If your account has the PayFlow one, then you need the settings for it. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› PayFlow[/hilite] This video may help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0jOq2MRTVQ

Also, to use PayPal Pro you’ll need an SSL certificate so the page with the pro-form is secured. Pre Sale FAQs » Do I need an SSL certificate to use PayPal® Pro or Authorize.Net®?

OR/ALSO…is there someone within 2SMember available for hire, to help with some of the Membership set up?

About hiring someone, you can try freelancer sites like jobs.wordpress.net, elance.com or odesk.com.

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Tony.

I have tried the custom fields within the s2member pro form and not my own customised registration template. It is still having same problems – it won’t ‘require’ any custom fields nor validate them either.

The requirement and validation is done with JavaScript. If you’re positive that the field is required in your field’s settings, then it may be a JavaScript problem causing this behavior in your pro-form.

Could you post the URL to the page where the pro-form is? Or you can send it by email: s2Member® » Private Contact Form

There may be a JS conflict cause by the theme or another plugin. To test this quick, you can change the theme for a moment to the default one, refresh the page with the pro-form and try again. To test other plugins, deactivate them one by one and check after each if the problem continues.

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Nigel.

No, s2Member doesn’t manage the redirection on logout.

You may want to check if your theme or another plugin gives you control over that via a setting. Also, if your theme has a logout link somewhere, but you don’t have a setting for it in the admin area, you can look for the template file and edit the link to include the redirection variable. You could ask your theme’s developer about it too.

I hope that helps. :)

Right, I see it there: [hilite mono]custom="www.michaelsharp.org"[/hilite]. Could you confirm that it is in every pro-form shortcode you’re using?

What about the other things I mentioned? :)

It’s quite discouraging that I paid for your product and it doesn’t work and now you’re telling me to go pay for someone to fix it.

s2Member, as it’s distributed, doesn’t have the problem you’re experiencing. You have another installation where it works fine and confirmed this. The problem you have is something particular to one installation, not s2Member.

Like I said, it could be a plugin conflict, or corrupt files, but you already checked that those weren’t the case. The other thing I can think of is something in the custom profile field entries in the database that could be causing this error, that’s why I suggested browsing it.

It’s not that I don’t want to give you support, I’m happy to help, it’s just that some things fall outside of what’s owed as support. Going into your database and fixing a problem particular to your site is an example, that’s why I suggested a freelancer after you said not knowing how to do it yourself. s2Member® » Support Policy » Fine Lines

I hope you understand. :/

I installed the Portable PMA plug-in which is the plugin for phpMyAdmin. I looked for an “options” table and found a couple, but none have anything about s2member.

You have the admin log-in info for the website, could please go look and see about the fields?

I went and looked in your database and in the [hilite mono]wp_options[/hilite] table, there’s a row for [hilite mono]ws_plugin__s2member_options[/hilite].

I don’t see custom profile fields defined there, but I did see your site’s name repeated a lot of times, in a weird way. They all seem to have slightly different typos, like a list for SEO purposes. Did you use/do anything to generate variations of the site’s name? It seems to have corrupted the s2Member options in the database.
