Hi Andrew. Maybe the payment wasn’t successful after a nubmer of attempts… Do you have the log entries for those transactions? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite] Do you have other users that didn’t have this happen to them? |

Hi Rakesh. You mean in the pro-forms? They’ve only been integrated with ReCaptcha so far. I’m afraid that there isn’t a simple setting to change that yet. :/ You could hack the pro-form, or get a freelance developer to do it for you, if you really need to change them. |

You can just create WP pages with those slugs. :) They can also be /group1-welcome and /group2-welcome, for example. |

Hi Ken. I don’t have any experience with those, and haven’t heard comments back from other site owners regarding this, so I can’t really say… I thought WP Touch was more like a theme, and that should not interfere with s2Member’s functionality. I’ll ask Jason if he has any comments on this. |

Hi Jennifer. s2Member is particularly good to manage access to content. It sounds like you need a plugin that lets you have public profiles and more social features, is that right? Maybe something like BuddyPress. http://buddypress.org I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Dean. It may not be a specific plugin causing the problem, but the number of plugins and the resources they use. Maybe your server doesn’t have a lot of RAM available for you? This may be a problem in some shared servers. Sometimes another site in the same server could be causing trouble for the rest. Have you contacted 1and1 to ask them about this? |

Ah, I think I got it now. Thanks a lot for clarifying. :) Well, custom capabilities seem to be good for what you want to do. You can give a unique custom capability to each client to protect a page specifically for him, as well as files. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Custom Capabilities[/hilite] Video » s2Member (Custom Capabilities) I hope that helps. :) |

Right, you can do that from the user’s profile. You’ll find a field for custom capabilities there. :) |

Yeah, I can understand where you’re coming from and how frustrating it can be. I’m sorry you’ve had bad experiences with this in the past. About the shortcode parsing, as Eduán said, it’s something that WordPress does. Each plugin defines its own shortcodes, but the parsing is still done by WordPress. Now, some plugins or themes will alter the way WordPress parses the content, and it sometimes is not done completely right and causes this kind of problem. And the problem may not be in the shortcode parsing itself, but one of the other filters that are applied to the content. Once you identify which one is affecting the parsing to cause this kind of parsing error, you need to contant the developer for that theme/plugin, showing him what’s happening so he can fix it. When you tried the default theme, did the parsing problem go away? :) Could you post a link to the page where you have this problem so I take a look at the resulting HTML, please? Thanks! |

Hi Corey. In this file https://pioneeranalytics.com/wp-content/themes/rt_camber_wp/css/bodystyle-light.css?ver=1.24 you have: [hilite pre_code]#rt-container-bg .rokradios, #rt-container-bg .rokchecks, #rt-container-bg .rokradios-active, #rt-container-bg .rokchecks-active { background-image: url("../images/body/light/body-rokinputs.png"); } [/hilite] When I remove that style, then the card icons appear in the pro-form. The height is still not the right one, though, so the icons are not shown fully, but I didn’t find what the style causing it is. You can use a tool like Firebug to study this more and see if you can find where the problem is. http://getfirebug.com I hope that helps. :) |

lol, that’s happened to me too! I know what you mean. :) It’s good it’s working now. Keep logging enabled in case it happens again, and then we’ll have entries we can use to diagnose what the problem may be. |

Got it. You mention using the pro-forms to sell, but the button to cancel. Have you tried using the cancellation pro-form instead of the button? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Billing Cancellation Forms[/hilite]
Right, because at the time of cancellation the EOT time would be set, but it may still be in the future, so he’d still have access for the remaining time he already paid for. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Automatic EOT Behavior[/hilite] Do you have log entries for these cancellations? I’d like to see if the EOT time was set. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite] And have you checked to see if their profiles have an EOT time set? |

Right, if you’ve protected the page, then it won’t be accessible anymore by those without the access to it… When I tried the feed URL you posted, I got redirected to http://www.gpsforalle.dk/gfa-fordelsklubben/?_s2member_seekingtype=page&_s2member_seekingpage=16803&_s2member_seeking_uri=L2NvbW11bml0eS9yc3Mv&_s2member_reqtype=level&_s2member_reqlevel=0&_s2member_restype=page&s2member_seeking=page-16803&s2member_level_req=0 which shows in the vars that it’s protected with the Page restriction. What feed is that, for the comments on that page? Why do you want to make public the feed for a restricted page? |

I see. Have you contacted PayPal support to help you activate Express Checkout for your account? |

Well, the feed itself is not hidden by s2Member, what that setting lets you do is prevent protected posts from being listed in the feed. If the feed itself is not being shown, then that’s probably the theme, but if you had the URL for it, it should still work. What exactly is the problem you’re having? Maybe I’m misunderstanding something. |

Hi Cassel. I haven’t set up Express Checkout myself, but I logged in to my PayPal account looking for it and found it here: [hilite path]PayPal -> Merchant Tools -> Additional Payment Option[/hilite]. There they offer you to enable Express Checkout. s2Member doesn’t have additional integration steps in the settings page for it to work with Express Checkout. Since you already set PayPal Standard already, you probably already have filled in all the necessary fields. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options[/hilite] Let me know if that helps. :) |

Hi Rob.
No, I don’t have an example for it, but the Login Welcome page basically the one he’ll be shown right after login. Other than that, it’s just any regular WP page and you can put in it whatever you want, really. Yes, you can use variables in there, like his name to greet him. You can use PHP or shortcodes. You may find these useful: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› PHP/API Constants[/hilite]
No, this is not added by s2Member. You would need another plugin that adds this functionality. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=avatar I hope that helps. :) |

Hi baldeep.
Could you please explain what you mean by call campaigns?
You’re going to have a file upload feature for users? Or are these files you will upload for them to download?
What do you mean by their own member site? An account page in your site, or their own blog in a multisite network? You mean private updates as in a private/internal messaging system? Or as a CRM to log the calls? I’d like to understand that better before giving a longer answer, so I don’t give you a reply that doesn’t work for what you need. Thanks! :) |

Hi Marsha. Yes, s2Member can handle that kind of access management. The free version will do for that. The Pro version has nice additional features that you may choose to have too, but is optional. Public content would be left unrestricted. General content for clients could be protected at Level 1. Content specific to each client could be protected with custom capabilities. Video » s2Member (Custom Capabilities) I hope that helps. :)
I’m not sure what kind of language you’re refering to here. You mean the language in which s2Member was coded? That’d be PHP, as is WordPress. |

Hi Annika. s2Member doesn’t support multiple subscriptions for the same user yet. You can do it if you make the user register an account for each subscription, though. To make that happen, the user must be logged out when he clicks the order button, or the transaction will be related to his user account, which would replace the existing subscription. You don’t need s2Member Pro for this, it wouldn’t change this behavior. About the emails, with each purchase for a new account, he’ll get a separate confirmation email from s2Member. Remember, though, that he won’t be able to register using the same email address, because WordPress won’t allow it. I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Dean. The plugin may be causing a JavaScript conflict if the pro-form looks like that. Could you post a link to your page with the pro-form, please? Thanks! |
