Hi Hari. You can use the PayPal pro-form without PayPal Pro. Pre Sale FAQs » To use s2Member® Pro Forms, will I have to use PayPal® Pro? And Express Checkout does accept cards. http://www.s2member.com/changelog/#s2-changes-v120608
The coupons functionality could be custom coded if desired, but what kind of coupon do you want to give that you can’t create with s2Member’s coupons? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Pro Coupon Codes[/hilite] |

Got your email. Thanks for the info, Paul. I searched the users and saw the error you mentioned in the forum. I wonder if it has to do with a memory limit problem. You have almost 6000 thousand registered users. I uploaded to your server a script Jason created to check server details, and it suggests to raise the memory limit for WordPress. I’ll send you by email the link to it. Try raising the limit and check if that helps with the users search problem, please. |

You can reset the restriction for all users from [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Unique IP Access Restrictions[/hilite]. And you can also raise the IPs limit so they’ll be less likely to have the problem again. I’m guessing that those users have their IPs change frequently, or access the account from many machines. |

Right, the coupons would still be available even if you use PayPal Express Checkout and not PayPal Pro. The coupons are a pro-form feature, so the payment method doesn’t affect it. You can now use Express Checkout without having the user be required to login to a PayPal account to pay. http://www.s2member.com/changelog/#s2-changes-v120608
I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Scott. So you protected some categories with s2Member, but users are not being sent to the Membership Options page when trying to view a posts in those categories? Did you make sure you were logged out of your admin account when you tried viewing those posts? |

I’m still not sure I understand. Do you want to have in the same posts page, a mix of paid and free articles? So that visitors can read the free ones, but the paid ones would take them to the Membership Options page? |

So you tried having just s2Member, with no other plugin active, and the search didn’t work? How many users do you have? Is the site live? Could you send your login info to take a look? s2Member® » Private Contact Form |

You were given this reply in the thread you linked to: http://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/using-s2member-to-import-users-works-in-wp-but-does-not-show-up-in-bp/
Did you try importing a test user, then checking if he’s not listed, then logging in with that new test account for the frist time, and then back in your admin account check if he now is listed? I hope that works. Let us know how it goes, please. |

Mike, did you try the URI restriction I suggested? In the URI restriction panel, in the box for Level 1 add [hilite mono]/trades-2/[/hilite] and check if that applies the restriction to the Trades page, please. |

I see. I just tested having 10 levels, adding a category restriction at each one, and then removing s2Member Pro, refreshed the restrictions page, and added Pro back. I refreshed the restrictions page once more and all the Category restrictions up to level 10 were still there. So I couldn’t reproduce your problem yet. Would you send your login info via the contact form to take a look at what you have? s2Member® » Private Contact Form |

This is something BuddyPress does. BuddyPress pretty much takes over the registration process and the wp-login.php one is disabled by BP apparently. If you don’t use BuddyPress’ registration, you can use the s2Member free registration pro-form. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Free Registration Forms[/hilite] I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Grace. I’m forwarding this to Jason to answer, I don’t know enough to explain the difference between those two. In the meantime, do you have the log files with the entries for those customers with the problem? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite] |

This thread is a duplicate of a post in another thread: http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/i-have-built-myself-into-a-box-of-hell/#post-16293 There I suggested using the rrt attribute for the pro-form, removing the demotion on EOT and using the payments notification with a script that changes the user’s role. I’ll close this one to continue the conversation in one place. :) |

Allan, I just emailed Jason asking him what you need to change so commissions are paid recurringly. I’ll wait for his reply. :) |

Have you watched this video? Video » s2Member (Login Welcome Page Conflicts?) The redirection on login may be altered by the theme or another plugin. If you had the same theme when this wasn’t a problem, then it must be one of the other plugins. Test deactivating them one by one and trying the login again after each to see if the problem went away. You can use two browsers, one for the changes and the other for the tests. I hope that helps. :) |

lol Joe, you made laugh. Jason is not doing custom coding anymore, since months ago, and is now full time working on the new s2Member to release it this summer. It’ll make many new things possible out-of-the-box, most probably including what you’re trying to do. But for now we have what we have, and it’s pretty good, but to do what you want the only way I can think of is what I suggested above: use rrt in the shortcode of the pro-form, edit EOT so user is not demoted, use the payment notifications with a script to change the user’s role.
Man, you already know a lot about s2Member and help right and left! Even I forget certain things from time to time. Thanks for all your help! :) Are you doing freelance jobs? Maybe you want to do this one for Joe if he needs help. |

I see. So you have nothing in the /wp-content/mu-plugins/ folder? Are you using an s2Member pro-form or button with the [hilite mono]success[/hilite] attribute pointing to a URL? Did you enter a redirection URL for the Login Welcome page? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Login Welcome Page[/hilite] If it’s none of the above, then it is possible that some other plugin added that redirection. This is not something s2Member does by itself, it’s either user input or another plugin. Please test deactivating other plugins one by one and checking after each if you still have that redirection. It’s better to use two browsers, one to make the changes and another to test, so you don’t log in and out of the admin account all the time. I hope that helps! |

I see. It seems like the tabs shortcode isn’t doing do_shortcode to its content, so the button’s shortcode isn’t being parsed. Or some other problem caused by the nesting. You can use a PayPal created button, or using something else to generate your table. Knowledge Base » Using PayPal created buttons I hope that helps. :) |
