Excellent! Glad I could help. Thanks for the update. :)

Is this the pitch page? http://passion.liveyourlegend.net/official-launch/

If so, the buttons there are ClickBank’s, but not integrated with s2Member. To have this work with s2Member, you have to use the shortcode for the button. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› ClickBank® Buttons -› Membership Level # Buttons[/hilite]

What do you mean it doesn’t come up in your site? You mean that if you click the link to the login/registration page, it doesn’t come up? But you say that clicking the link to it does take you there. I don’t understand.

Could you show me a screenshot of the page where you say you don’t get the login form? And, from the web root of your local server, what URI does it have? Thanks.

When I tried to load the file http://www.fanoop.com/sandbox/wp-content/plugins/s2member/s2member-o.php?ws_plugin__s2member_js_w_globals=1&qcABC=1&ver=120514-120514-604038795 I got a blank page with this in the source:

[hilite code][/hilite]

Check your permissions, see if they’re set to 644, please. If that doesn’t work, you can google that message and research it a bit to find the solution, or ask your webhost directly, since it may vary from nost to host.

I hope it helps.

From http://www.madeinminecraft.com/wp-content/themes/famous/css/style.php?ver=3.3.2 remove

[hilite pre_code]
#nav {
background-image: url("http://www.madeinminecraft.com/wp-content/themes/famous/images/style0/nav-foot.png");
}
[/hilite]

I’m glad I could help, but it’s really not hard to use Firebug if you need to customize more styles.

Anyway, I hope your site is ready now. Good luck with that membership. :)

Hi John.

Well, it comes down to disk space and bandwidth use, as well as speed of the connection. Amazon Web Services is an awesome solution for file hosting and distribution, and very cheap. s2Member integrates with it to protect your files with s2Member’s download protection.

I hope that helps. :)

Hi SWA.

Thanks for the kudos! I’m glad you’re enjoying s2Member. :)

Well, the Membership Options Page doesn’t necessarily have to have PayPal buttons. It can have anything you want to put there, knowing that it’s the page users will be sent to if they try to open a URL they don’t have access to. It can just a be a nice message asking them to register for free and login in order to view the restricted content, with a link to the registration page.

I hope that helps!

Well, if you made a change that isn’t showing up in your site because the cache, instead of waiting for it to expire you can do it manually right then. Quick Cache will normally automatically update the cache for a content that was updated but you still have control over it in case it’s needed.

I hope that helps. :)

Thanks Sam!

I’m emailing Jason about it now so he looks at it.

Hi Mathieu.

Thanks so much for sharing that!

I’ll show it to Jason too.

Thanks! :)

Hi there.

Well, we don’t provide this service, but you can find developers in freelance sites like jobs.wordpress.net, elance.com or odesk.com, for example.

You’d have to customize your theme templates for each area, using conditionals that would show or not the areas based on the user’s access (leve or custom capability). Video » s2Member (Advanced Conditionals)

The URI restriction may be of some use too, or the Post Access restriction (for custom type posts), depending on what you use to manage the properties. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options[/hilite]

I hope that helps. :)

Thanks for the valuable reminder, David! I’m glad you sorted it out.

This is a good article related to this, which we have to use from time to time: Knowledge Base » Don't mix www and without

Hello Pushparaj.

I tried your $3 button and it took me to the PayPal page that gives the option to pay without logging in to PayPal. Below the login form there’s a link that reads “Don’t have a PayPal account?”, which gives a panel to pay with your card.

I hope that helps. :)

Of course you’d be upset, I understand.

it does seem a little odd that the limitation exists for one service and not another.

This is only one example. :/

I appreciate your suggestion, but that option alienates visitors who may just want to browse possible membership options/benefits without signing up. I’ll have to think up something.

You can have one button in the Membership Options page for those who aren’t registered yet. But it is needed to have registered members login before upgrading, or the account won’t be upgraded.

And when the user is logged in, you’ll be able to tell if he is a free member or a paid one, and show the proper message based on that. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Simple/Shortcode Conditionals[/hilite]

Sure, just set it up as best as possible following the documentation and my explanations earlier. Then do a test purchase using the test card from CB, and logging enabled in s2Member. If there’s a problem, check the log entries for the transaction and post them here x’ing out any private info, please. :)

Hi Edward.

That’s a good idea to implement this in the current s2Member.

Yes, we have plans to improve the coupon codes, including their tracking, vastly. Jason is working on the rewrite and it should be ready for the new major version of s2member in -probably- a couple of months.

Hi Keith.

Could you post a link to the page with the problem, please? Thanks! :)

Hi Chris.

The custom profile fields will work in the WP registration form or the s2Member registration pro-forms. s2Member will not capture the user’s PayPal info. But you’d get those fields as part of the WP account registration. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields[/hilite]

The SSL cert is needed if you want to receive payments in your site instead of having the person do it over at PayPal’s site. Pre Sale FAQs » Do I need an SSL certificate to use PayPal® Pro or Authorize.Net®?

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Chris.

Could you post the link to the login page, please? Thanks!

No, the Login OTO will just redirect the person to the page you specify on his nth login. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› One-Time Offers (Upon Login)[/hilite]

I just read your posts and I think you want to be able to tell when the person’s first login was, is that right? I don’t think s2Membe tracks that… It counts the number of logins, but it doesn’t have a time for each one. I’ll ask Jason about this to confirm it.

What you could probably do is use the Login OTO feature to load the Login Welcome page with an extra variable in the URL (e.g. [hilite mono]?first[/hilite]) and have some PHP in that page to log that time somewhere, like the [hilite mono]usermeta[/hilite] table.

I hope that helps. :)

If you’re using the pro-forms without PayPal Pro, the user will have to have a PayPal account, because it’s required by Express Checkout. That said, if you’re selling a subscription, even if you used PayPal Standard button, the user would still be required to have a PayPal account.

Philly, thanks for your help and the kudos! :)

Hi Susan.

You can use the Membership Options page for this, which is where people get sent by s2Member when they try to load a page they don’t have access to. A user with enough access to the content won’t be sent there. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Membership Options Page[/hilite]

The page would still be accessible to users that have paid, but they won’t be taken there. You can also customize the content of the Membership Options page based on the user’s access, using conditionals to show different things. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Simple/Shortcode Conditionals[/hilite]

I hope that helps. :)
