I don’t know if those things warned about in the server scanner would cause you the PHP tags problem, but they’re likely you to cause you other troubles and that’s why Jason added those checks. It’d be best for you to get them corrected following the advice to have your webhosting company help you get them solved. |

I couldn’t reproduce the top nav problem, but could reproduce it for the Pages widget. I left Jason a message, I’ll let you know what he replies as soon as I hear back from him. |

No, the database would not help. If you feel uncomfortable giving me FTP access, it’s okay not to do it, of course. Could you try removing the caching drop-in yourself? And make sure there aren’t other PHP files that have caching in the name, please. I just want to remove that as a possible cause. Let’s see what the webhost says about caching on their side. Do you have another webhost that you can try this with? It’d be good to see what results you have in another server. |

Both videos started playing back in the embedded player without an error.
Yes, found the download link to the PDF and got an error. Found that you have an extra directory in your URL there:
Removing [hilite mono]fernleaf/[/hilite] solves it and I could download the PDF. You don’t need to include the bucket’s name there, that’s in your s2Member configuration for the Amazon integration. If you had in your bucket a subdir named “fernleaf” and the file inside it, then it’d be correct, but the file isn’t in a subdirectory of the bucket.
Thanks. In your Video Test page I changed the filename you had there (test.mp4) to the one I see in the screenshot (video.mp4), and it’s now working. Everything seems to be working okay. Are you still having a problem I may have missed? |

No, haven’t heard from Jason regarding this yet. I just left him a reminder in case he missed my note the first time. |

Right, add an [hilite mono]else if...[/hilite] for each string you want to add a translation for.
If you search the s2Member files for [hilite mono]_x([/hilite] you’ll find the strings that can be translated. http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/_x
That was the result of a failed test she did, you can ignore it. |

I’m not sure how to do this either, but I’ll ask Jason and let you know what he says. |

No, if you know what you did there, it’s fine. I just mentioned it in case it was something else that could also be causing a problem in another -more important- area. |

Sorry for missing your reply until now, I apologize for the delay in responding to it. Thank you very much for clarifying what you’re asking, I had not understood it this way before. Jason provided a hack to remove the address fields from Authorize.Net pro-forms, but warned against the possible problems this may cause with fraudulent transactions. http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/authorize-net-proforms-can-i-disable-fields/#post-20569 So it’s possible with Auth.Net, now I need to ask Jason if it’s also possible to do the same with PayPal or if PayPal Pro, unlike Authorize.Net, absolutely requires those fields to be in the form. I left him a message and I’ll get back to you as soon as I hear back from him. |

Thanks Lawrence, got the info. I reviewed the logs and see an error where I looked. I also searched for a mention of the 0001 account but didn’t find one. Are you using the [hilite mono]sub_account[/hilite] attribute in your shortcode? See my previous reply regarding that. |

Thanks, got the email. I did several tests, still am not sure what the source of the problem is and I can’t reproduce it in my installation. I first activated the Alt View Restriction, got the warning that the Membership Options Page is missing, so I went and set one, as well as the Login Welcome. I then noticed no page was restricted, so I restricted the Links one, but it still shows up in the navigation. I removed the main nav menu, moved widgets around, change themes, nothing. I did notice one thing during all this, and it’s that the things I changed, most of the time weren’t reflected in the page right away. It looks as if I were getting them from the cache, and no amount of refreshing changed them to what I expected. I had deactivated the WP Super Cache plugin, but there’s a cache drop-in that’s still there, I don’t know if active or not, but since I don’t have the FTP, i couldn’t go and remove it to test if it was that. I’m also wondering if your server has some caching outside of WordPress that may be causing this. Caching is not a problem if configured properly. Pages for logged in users should not be cached, because they change from user to user depending on his access. Also, object and database caching are known to cause trouble, so these should not be enabled. This is all I can tell from what I had access to. Could you confirm the caching thing I mentioned? Thanks. |

Right, I don’t know what their answer will be… But in any case, just as FireHost has that IP blacklisted, there may be others that do too. It’d be good if your webhost looks into what caused that Dshield report and tries getting it cleared. |

Thanks Lori, got the email. I couldn’t login to the site, the username wasn’t valid, but I could access the logs directory via FTP. I couldn’t find any entry for the user you mentioned in your email. Do you have her subscr_id? Do you have other users with this problem that I could look up in the logs? |

Then [hilite mono]$GET['register_level'][/hilite] will be the level number you used in the URL, in the example above it’s [hilite mono]1[/hilite], but you could use any Level number you have enabled in s2Member (default is up to 4). |

Yes, it’s suppossed to do that, because you’re not asking if the user has access to Level 1 content, you’re asking if he’s at Level 1, which an Administrator isn’t. Try:
or
The latter will be shown to Level 2 users or higher too, though, because of the incremental access. |

Did you import a lot of members with EOT times already expired? If so, it may be that they are being demoted little by little to avoid timeouts. But if you already needs a demotion, I’d simply import him at Level 0 instead of an expired Level 1. |

No, it’s something on the server side. There’s a difference between the two server configurations that may not be obvious, but is there. s2Member Pro is just an add-on to the framework (free version). What’s in the framework remains the same, the Pro add-on adds more things to it. Have you tried the same development setup that worked, in the server where you are having trouble? |

You can sell with the s2Member button for ClickBank, any product that is active in your ClickBank account. s2Member doesn’t support multiple subscriptions for the same user, but that’s a different issue. That error you’re getting is a ClickBank thing. You should check that your product there is active and doesn’t have any limitations. If you can’t find the limitation but still get the warning, I’d contact their support team to find out why. |

You can send your site info securely using our contact form: s2Member® » Private Contact Form About the secure login, maybe there’s a plugin that helps you with that. http://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=secure+login s2Member also has a couple of restrictions to protect against login sharing or guessing.
