I see, still this is a feature request for the next generation of s2Member.

Hope you can figure it out with Drupal. Or with s2Member if you decide to code it. :)

I don’t have any problems with this. Could you try going to this URL:
http://www.s2member.com/profile/

It should let you edit your email, it lets me do it…

Hello Dave,

I’m very sorry for the delay. Bruce has not been available for 5 days and Jason hasn’t been online except small amounts of time (for certain topics only). So it’s all left to me and Cristian, and I took a 2 day break as well (unaware of the situation). (-_-‘ )

At this point I’m confused… Users pay for 1 year access, when they get demoted they go back to level 0 (normal). The problem you’re having is the free registration pro-forms not being pre-filled (even though the user is already level 0). Is this correct or did I misunderstand?

I’m sorry that you need to repeat, but I need to make sure. ;|

Hello Oriol,

I’m afraid this is not currently possible with s2Member, you would need to modify the pro-forms in order to achieve this. And probably s2Member as well. :/

However if you use buttons instead of pro-forms this is very possible. You would just implement something similar to this hack of mine: http://eduantech.com/2012/09/donation-button-that-gives-access/

Hello Oriol,

Could you please give us a link to your website and maybe a some test user credentials?

But before that, could you try these common trouble shooting tips: Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips

Ah I see. I suppose you used PHP or shortcode conditionals to check if the user has the access correct?

I’m afraid I can’t provide any help either. :/

It will be easier to just hide the password field using CSS. However using that method, if the user is tech savvy then he can easily change that CSS (client-side) in order to show it again.

Hello Amanda,

I’m afraid you can’t do trials with level 0 yet I believe. :/

You could probably achieve this if level 1 becomes the free level for example.

Hello Kurt,

This is what he answered:

This won’t be added into the existing release. It’s coming in the next generation of s2Member though :-)

Glad you solved your problem Keith. :)

Just for future reference, what was the problem you were having? And what was the solution?

Thanks! :)

There is not “Edit your profile” page I’m afraid.

That page is set to wherever you choose to use the s2Member profile shortcode. Most people use the login welcome page for that.

Check under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Member Profile Modifications for more info on that shortcode.

Hello Nigel,

I don’t have any memory of a profile email. To what email are you referring?

You mentioned the main content box. Is there another box besides that?
Are you using some kind of SEO plugin?

OK, good luck.

However, saying this now, it’s most probably going to be impossible to make AWeber send all the emails. Also it’s insecure.

Hello Lee,

This is what Jason answered:

No, sorry that’s not possible by default; it will require custom code.
I have no intention of custom coding this for BuddyPress, but we will be working to make things like this possible in e next generation of s2Member.

I see. Then that means that something is interfering with that process. But it’s strange some get sent and some don’t. :/

In any case, Jason contacted me about this:

The only issue with this is password generation. Passwords are stored with one-way encryption (which is good); but this makes it impossible to resend login details that include the password. A password reset is required for this email to be sent again.

Flagging this Issue as “working”. I’ll see if I can whip up a quick button that goes into the Dashboard for this. Otherwise, you can always just send a visitor the password recovery link and that will accomplish a similar thing.

Hello Bridie,

This is not possible with level 0 I’m afraid. You can achieve this with paid levels and trial periods. But pretty sure this is not possible with level 0. Might be wrong though, if you use trial periods.

Again, don’t take my word. :)

Hello Karyl,

I believe this page can be overridden with the success=”” attribute. Check under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Shortcode Attributes (Explained) -› success.

I’m not sure when it’ll get fixed. However I can remind Jason about it. :)

I don’t think their IP address will make a difference in this case. :/

Also, BTW, Jason has not gotten back to me about this. :(

For now, what you can do is install the Email Log plugin and see it’s logs. If a member doesn’t receive an email, but Email Log does log it, it means there’s either a problem with your server, or the user’s email service.

I see. In that case you can check s2Member’s codex and find what you need:

Hello Joe,

I do not understand what the problem is… Could you please clarify?

Do you not understand where to put the PayPal button shortcodes that you’ve generated?
