Hello Dirk,

I’m afraid you can’t do this by default with s2Member. You would need to modify roles and make your plugin make use of roles as well.

A role modifier that works well with s2member is the Capability Manager Enhanced plugin.

Hello Kim,

This means that you didn’t correctly setup one of the settings under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options.

Please make sure that you setup all your PayPal settings correctly.

If you set that up correctly this error should disappear. :)

Hello Vincent,

This error you’re getting is caused by the settings under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Unique IP Access Restrictions. It’s when several IPs login to the same account, and in this case when they all use the same unique page/post link.

Hello Govo, yes you can. :)

However be sure to use s2Member conditionals to possibly hide the other buttons once one of the buttons has been used, and/or use modification buttons instead.

You can read about s2member conditionals in this article: Knowledge Base » Simple Shortcode Conditionals

Now, remember that if you’re using pro-forms it isn’t possible to have several of them in one page. Buttons don’t have this problem though. :)

Hello Matt,

Your client needs to buy his own license of s2Member pro, yes, the developer shouldn’t provide the pro version, the client should.

And the license only counts for live websites, it doesn’t count for Staging websites in other words, you can buy a single-site license and have several test websites. The Primary Domain field should contain the URL of the Production URL.

Hello Rickey,

I understand that everyone lost admin rights, however I don’t understand the comment before that.

You mean that you completed a migration and every admin user lost their admin rights?

Do you know if this is possible with custom coding? Did you have a look at Amazon payments yet?

Do you have any resources on how to modify existing gateways?

It is possible with custom coding, here’s the clue on how to add new payment gateways: Pre Sale FAQs » Can I add support for other payment gateways?

I found this thread on DigitalRiver integration (http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/custom-payment-gateway-flowchart-overview/) and you talked about a major upcoming release where the API would be streamlined and integration of new gateways would be much easier. Is this already included in the current version(since the switch to the new numbering scheme one gets lost if there were major releases or not)? Where can I find documentation?

Not in the current s2Member, no. The payment gateways API will be very improved in the new s2Member being developed. We’ll make an announcement when it gets release and it’ll be very obvious that it changed. You’ll know when it happens. :)

Hello Cheryl,

I’m afraid I’m not sure what you’re referring to. :/

Could you please point me to the admin panel that contains mention of this restriction? Thanks!

Hello James,

Basically you want to show different content depending on the user’s access correct?

You can achieve this using s2Member’s conditionals, you can read about them in this article:
Knowledge Base » Simple Shortcode Conditionals

Hello Elayne,

It seems Cristian was helping you in your other post regarding the import:
http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/trouble-importing-amember-database/

I don’t know how it’s going on the email side, but it seems on the forums he is helping you following the support policy (s2Member® » Support Policy). 48 hours did not pass before you received an answer. :)

As stated in the refund policy, you may only receive a refund if s2Member fails to work as promoted and we weren’t able to solve the problem. Within 30 days of purchase:

However, we will consider a refund within the first 30 days of your purchase, if you are unable to install a Product. Or, if the Product fails to perform basic functions, as designed. And, you HAVE already worked with, and followed all advice presented by our support team, in an effort to resolve these issues. Any refunds that are processed, will be granted at the sole discretion of s2Member®. No refunds will be given after 30 days from the initial purchase whatsoever. By purchasing a Product at s2Member.com, you agree to the terms of our Refund Policy. You cannot cancel a purchase or receive a refund for a purchase.

s2Member® » Terms » Refund Policy

So basically, I’m afraid we can’t provide a refund, following the refund policy. :/

Hello Gary,

I’m afraid there isn’t one that we can recommend at this point. :/

In what way do you want it to hook with s2Member? So that it pops up instead of other s2Member stuff? Like membership options page for example?

Hello Anthony,

Does your browser have JavaScript enabled? If it doesn’t then this won’t work, since it requires JavaScript to check if the fields are checked.

Also, you added the terms and conditions following this article?:

You would achieve that using the free registration pro-form which comes with s2Member pro. You can find it under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Free Registration Forms.

You would change the level attribute to the level you want to offer, in this case 1. This is explained above the shortcode generator for the free registration pro-form. :)

Hello Wayne,

Glad you found the source of the problem. :)

Check under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Other Integrations -› bbPress® and make sure you disable it under there as well. :)

I’m afraid that isn’t covered by the refund policy. :/

The refund policy only covers those cases when s2Member did not work as promoted and you didn’t receive the help necessary to get it to work (following the support policy, s2Member® » Support Policy), and you’re within the first 30 days of your purchase.

Hello Dawn,

What provider are you using for the email address with which you have problems? Yahoo, GMail, HotMail etc.

If possible, could you try with several of these? Because for some reason the emails are not arriving at your inbox even though it did get sent.

Hello Andrew,

I’m afraid I don’t understand.

You mean that they can only login from a certain page/post? Or only from a specific post/page restricted post/page for example?

Could you please be a little clearer on this regard? Thanks!

Hello Dave,

I’m afraid currently s2Member does not store this info anywhere AFAIK.

It is however a feature that’s coming in the next generation of s2Member, which should be released someday this year.

Hello Anton,

I can certainly ask Jason to add this. :)

However if it’s not there it’s probably for a reason. Most probably it’s not there because the payment is processed before the user is registered, so there’s no user ID yet.

Hello Lorin,

Could you please check what page is set as the login welcome page. A URL would be nice as well. :)

Also the URL you provided looks very unnatural, or wrong, can’t put my finger on it. :/

However before posting the URL, could you please try these common trouble shooting tips:
