Hello there, The plans still remain, it’s coming in the next generation of s2Member, which I’m afraid still hasn’t entered beta yet. :/ – Eduan |

Hello Michael, This issue is not caused by s2Member, it’s caused by something else, maybe external. Could you try changing the file permissions to 754 instead of 666. Of course you then fix the file and see if the problem happens again. If it doesn’t happen again it means that the problem was caused by those permissions. :) – Eduan |

Hello J, Thanks for reporting this issue. :) However this is an issue on your side. It’s the result of your browser not being able to load all the code, resulting in a blank background, messed up styles etc. It’s possible your internet is not fast enough for your browser, or the connection is cut-off, or something, the amount of reasons can be pretty big. :) – Eduan |

Hello JP, While this isn’t possible with s2Member right now, it’s certainly possible to attain. You would need to do make some custom code on website1 so that it sends the registration data and payment confirmation to website2. And you would need to modify website2 so that it can receive that info and make a user out of it. However automatically logging the user isn’t wise, it’s probable it causes security issues. – Eduan |

Hello Hercules, I’m afraid that’s not possible with s2Member without some customizations. Basically, if you want to restrict access to certain plugins etc., you would need to modify those plugins directly so that they depend on s2Member, so that they check themselves and only do stuff if the user has the correct s2Member access. Does that answer your question? – Eduan |

Well, if your server providers insist that WordPress is able to send emails, however it isn’t able to, then you gotta convince them. lol Simply point them to this thread, or give them the log entry. They should be able to know where the error comes from. – Eduan |

Hello Stefan, This is not actually an error. Open registration refers to free registration, i.e. level 0. The registration page for level 1 and above is usually your membership options page, which contains PayPal buttons, the users pay and they get the access they paid for. You can configure PayPal under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options. Hope this helps. :) – Eduan |

Hello Jaime, I’m afraid this kind of membership is not possible with s2Member. The user pays in one domain/sub-domain and he gets membership in that domain/sub-domain. He won’t get access granted access in other domain/sub-domains. But yes, if he pays in one domain/sub-domain he will get redirected to that same domain/sub-domain in order to register. – Eduan |

Hello David, I think the best thing to do would be to contact your server provider and ask them to enable emails to be sent. Do you receive the email correctly if the email account it’s supposed to go to is a Yahoo or HotMail account? – Eduan |

Hello DJ, This confirmation process is not available in s2Member yet I’m afraid. However there is a simple workaround. Have users register for free, that would be like submitting their details, and if you approve of them you can manually upgrade them to level 1. At which point they’re paid members and they products’ prices appear. You would have to use a little bit of s2Member conditionals in order to achieve this effect. You can read about them i this article: Knowledge Base » Simple Shortcode Conditionals – Eudan |

Hello Domagoj, Could you please try following the instructions in this article: Knowledge Base » Logged In, But Am I? It’s most probable that’s the cause of the problem, please try the steps in that post, see if it works.

Hello Rena, I don’t understand the problem I’m afraid. :/ The users can no longer login? Did it give them an error that the email was already used? Could you please clarify? Thanks! |

Try clicking that button to update Roles/Capabilities. Since the problem is with a role or capability that bbPress adds to the user, telling s2Member to update it should remove it when there’s no bbPress, and add it when bbPress is installed. – Eduan |

I see, the problem is most probably caused by your server then, judging by that log entry. The thing to do here would be to contact your server provider and ask them to allow WordPress to send emails. – Eduan |
