Hello Kurt, I believe Jason has posted in the past a hack to also check the fields with PHP… However I can’t remember where or when. You’ll have to search for it, here’s a start: – Eduan |

Hello Jason, Here are my answers to the questions I can answer:
Cassel and I already answered this in your other topic.
Not sure myself. However, the best way to find out is to run this server script and see how it turns out. It runs lots of tests and tells you what to fix so that s2Member and WordPress are in their best conditions.
I can’t answer these two I’m afraid. :/ |

Hello Claude, You mean, you want to remove the password field from the profile shortcode s2Member provides? Or from the WordPress profile editing page? – Eduan |

Hello Alex, For that you can do 2 things. Either buy the pro version and use pro-forms. Or simply have them register for free first, and then make them pay for access. :) – Eduan |

Hello Jason, I don’t have the answer to all your questions, but I’ll answer what I can. :)
Yes, not sure if it was shared or not. But I have installed it in a HostGator server before, with no real problems.
I can’t provide much help with this. However, as you can imagine, s2member.com uses s2Member. So you can get a feel for the registration process already. You already registered for free. When you’re ready to buy the pro version you will know how pro-forms feel. :) – Eduan |

Dave, this is not really a plugin, this is a hack of sorts. And he has provided the code, so there’s nothing to upload. :) If you want to use this hack you’ll have to study code until you can understand what this hack does, so that you’re able to edit it to your specific needs. – Eduan |

Hello Mauro, With the free version your users would login in the login page, which can be found under http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-login.php, replacing yourdomain with your domain of course. :) – Eduan |

Hello Andrew,
I’m afraid not. s2Member was made for digital content ONLY, for physical content you need to modify s2Member to track the extra stuff you need for physical content. :/
At this moment, no. s2Member does not yet add DB tables, not even the pro version. The next generation of s2Member will though (which will come out someday this year). – Eduan |

Hello there, I’m afraid not. s2Member does not have this functionality. And probably never will. :/ If you want to have this functionality you’ll have to create a plugin for this, or a hack. Modifying s2Member won’t do you much good. :) – Eduan |

You can find logs under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Log Files (Debug). However there’s no logs for this, except the ones about HTTP connections or something (maybe), which you need to enable the logging for that under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Log Files (Debug) -› Logging Configuration. – Eduan |

Ah I see. That problem is usually caused by the URL minimizing service. Could you please change the URL minimizing service you use under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› URL Shortening Service. The minimizing service is things like goo.gl or bit.ly etc. :) – Eduan |

Ah, at that point I’m afraid it’s not possible. You can prevent the downloading, in order for them to pay before being able to open/download the PDF file. However if you want to embed it into your website then it’s not possible, because, once again, you can’t restrict them from printing something online, unless the browser or some other software prevents it. You will need to offer the PDFs for download (paid download), and in exchange, in order to not allow them to print the files, you will need to block it somehow with Adobe or whatever you use. – Eduan |

Yes, you can protect downloads. Check this video for a lot (not all of it though) of info on this: I can’t provide any help on preventing users from printing the PDF files, so that’s up to you. :) |

I’m afraid at this point s2Member can’t achieve this. You would have to modify s2Member in order to achieve this effect, I’m afraid. :/ |

Hello Eva, Just setup your testing site correctly and install s2Member and s2Member pro on it. :) Even if you have the single site license, you can install s2Member pro on any amount of test websites, since the single site is a live site. :) – Eduan |
