Also, another question, just in case. How are your members upgrading? I suppose using modification buttons correct? – Eduan |

Glad that solved the problem. :) So basically, you mean, instead of sending them to the membership options page, simply do like a popup kind of thing? – Eduan |

I will ask Jason to put up a notice of some sort. However, it seems that you modified these values. In my own installation of WordPress these values are already filled. So telling you to leave them empty was an error on my part. Could you please confirm, were these values already filled? Yes or no? In any case, I don’t think this should be a valid step. I’ll talk with Jason about this. – Eduan |

Hello Femke, Could you please try these common troubleshooting tips in order to fix that error: If none of these work, please try re-installing s2Member and s2Member pro. Make sure you have deactivation safeguards enabled, you can find them under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Deactivation Safeguards. Regarding showing that “You don’t currently have access to this page” error. You would put this text in the membership options page, so it’s what the user sees if he tries to access content he can’t. – Eduan |

Hello Anton, I can’t submit this as a feature request if I don’t understand what you mean. Could you please explain what you mean, with images? Otherwise it’s going to be very hard for us to understand. :) From what I can gather, you want to be able to change the background of the login/registration page only? – Eduan |

Hello Robert, I’m afraid this is not possible with s2Member. I’m not sure it’s even possible at all with web applications. The only thing that can restrict the user from printing is the browser itself and other softwares that stop those transactions, prohibiting printing of a file (from within the file itself) would make sense if it was possible. However, I repeat, this is not possible with s2Member, and maybe will never be. – Eduan |

Hello Tim, So now you don’t get ANY errors? If you do could you please post them here? And also, could you please restore the wp-config.php file to before you did those edits? The DB ones. If your WordPress is already working you shouldn’t be editing those values, because they’re already filled correctly, and that’s why it works. And if they’re empty, leave them so. :) – Eduan |

Hello Bill, Your assumption is correct, and no, there isn’t any way to do this with the current s2Member. If you want to achieve this I’m afraid you’ll have to modify s2Member in order to be able to achieve this functionality. – Eduan |

Hello Ryan, In short, the best way to find out is to try it yourself. ;) Although, thinking about it again, it’s very probable it doesn’t have this kind of fraud detection. Because it would be un-effective if the user changes his location for example. :/ I can ask Jason to possibly improve this, if you could come up with the generation process for the links, in other words, how the link should be generated especially for each user. :) – Eduan |

Hello Justin, So the problem you’re having is with the MailChimp confirmation email? Also, you can find your logs under /wp-content/plugins/s2member-logs, you can also enable logging under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Log Files (Debug) -› Logging Configuration, make sure to enable all the logging routines. :) – Eduan |

Hello Stuart, I’m afraid this is not currently possible, at least not without modifying s2Member. If you want to achieve this you will need to modify s2Member, or hire a freelancer to do this for you, you can hire a freelancer over at websites like jobs.wordpress.net or elance.com. – Eduan |

Hello Asad, This is merely just a recommendation, since it’s the page all users are redirected to if they don’t have access to something. You can have your buttons and pro-forms in any page or post you like. :) – Eduan |

Hello Dean, They can’t register for free in that page you gave us. However if they go to this page they will be able to register for free: http://www.rentthefarm.com/wp-login.php?action=register Make sure to disable free registration under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Open Registration. Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Ali, It’s possible that it’s redirecting to the membership options page, however if the membership options page is empty then it can’t show any content, because there’s no content. Could you make sure your membership options page is not empty? – Eduan |

Well, I’m pretty sure the membership options page can’t be set to the homepage. So what you need to do is setup a membership options page (can be any page except your homepage and the login welcome page), and setup a redirection there. However, I personally think it’s not a good idea to set up another redirection from the membership options page to another page. If you do that the user will be redirected 2 times every time he tries to access content he doesn’t have permission to access. – Eduan |

The reason for this (I think) is because this only checks if the user is NOT a level 1 user and if the category is ‘oranges’. You would need to modify these conditionals in order to match your needs. :) |

Elizabeth, there’s nothing special to the process. You just need to create a sub-domain in your cpanel and install WordPress there. – Eduan |

Ugh… Logic… let me think a bit… Hmm, yes, the user needs to be registered in order to have custom capabilities. In which case he needs to be at least level 0 in order for modification forms to be able to add ccaps. The user does not need to upgrade/downgrade his level if he uses the buttons generated under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Capability (Buy Now) Buttons. Which only modify ccaps, no levels. The logic would be born thinking this way. Basically, if the user isn’t registered just give him a trial video and a PayPal button to buy access to a certain ccap. Then you check if he has access to that ccap, if he does then offer a download link that also checks if the user has that ccap. Basically. ;) – Eduan |
