No problem. Glad I was able to help. I believe this was confirmed in the next generation of s2Member, however don’t quote me, because I’m not sure. – Eduan |

Hello Desmond, This error suggests that the user that you were trying to modify with your modification button is a user with admin rights, this is an expected error if so. What role did the user have when you tried to do this? – Eduan |

Hello Kaeru, This is not possible with s2Member I’m afraid. You’ll need to customize this in yourself. – Eduan |

Hello Ulf, That is correct, the behavior for the membership options page is what you described. In your case it wouldn’t have a PayPal button, or a description or your product, it would just have some text telling the user why he can’t access that content, and he would be given a link to the registration page. Does that help? :) |

Hello Michael, If you were able to successfully disable s2Member’s own CSS, then it’s probably your theme the one that is still imposing some CSS onto the form(s). I suggest that you add the !important statement to your CSS rules, and see if that makes them work. Hope this helps. :) |

I just noticed, Bruce (support rep) has posted a new hack in the community support forums, hacks section. It lets you login a user depending on his IP: http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/automatic-login-based-on-ip/ Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Andrew, This isn’t currently possible with s2Member, as-is. However, Bruce (support rep) has developed a hack to achieve this. You can find it in the hacks section of the community forums: http://www.s2member.com/forums/forum/community/extensions-hacks/ Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Mark, I’m afraid not, the free version still hasn’t extra levels. This is an s2Member pro feature. However, if you are looking into more than 4 levels then I suggest you check out custom capabilities (ccaps for short). Which would allow you to have an unlimited amount of access to give, and it’s a lot more powerful than levels. Video » s2Member (Custom Capabilities) Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Tan, I’m afraid this isn’t currently possible with s2Member, at least not without modifying it. There was an old post about this in the old PrimoThemes forums, however I wasn’t able to find it with a quick search. If you do find it, there is a hack there for achieving this. Hope this helps. :) |

Then I’m not sure what could be wrong. :/ You can check under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Advanced PHP Conditionals and Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› PHP/API Constants and see if you can figure out something better than what I came up with, since my idea was just a quick idea. – Eduan |

Hello Oshi, Yes, with s2Member pro this is possible, you can offer free registration pro-forms which wouldn’t require the user to pay anything, but you can virtually give them any level of access. :) However, it is useful to know that you need to fill the PayPal details before, even if with fake info, this is a current limitation of s2Member and pro-forms. Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Raphael, You can check what s2Member can do with custom profile fields and these fields’ privacy under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields. I believe you can configure fields so that they’re always visible, only visible during registration, or never visible except to admin users. Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Sergiu, For this there are simple answers, if I understood correctly of course. ;) First, I suggest you switch to using custom capabilities (ccaps for short), instead of levels, as levels are progressive (level 2 gets levels 0, 1 and 2), and ccaps are independent of each other. And for the different instances of each you can use s2Member conditionals, which allow you to check if a user is registered, or has a certain ccap, or really any valid conditional that PHP would accept. :) I suggest you use s2Member’s download restrictions in order to control access to your website and the videos, however since you are going to be using ccaps you will be interested in ccap specific downloads. Hope this helps. :) |

Hmm… Really, as far as I’m aware, and I can remember. This error is only caused by the following (as my memory allows):
Pretty sure we’ve tried all of these… Could you triple check your PayPal info is correct, you use the shortcode version of the buttons, and that you follow all of these common trouble shooting tips: Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips – Eduan |

Hello Gabriel, I’m afraid this currently isn’t implemented in s2Member, you need to add this in yourself. It is however gonna be in the next generation of s2Member, which would have a beta between early and mid 2013. – Eduan |
