Hello there,

You don’t receive a direct link to the file if I remember right.

You can download it here though: http://www.s2member.com/pro/

I would like to point out that you are a paid user, your status is that of a paid user.

I’ll refer you to my previous post:

Jason here answered what you need, how to get a hold of the OUTPUT variable.

He says how to setup an API notification handler so that when s2Member gets gold of the OUTPUT variable it sends you an email with the output.

Hello Tammy,

Well, I would just like to point out that for the system you want to create, s2Member, and WordPress in general, are not meant or made for this. You will have to do a lot of work to get them working for what you want (“an artist site where members can join and upload their photos and artwork.”).

Now, to your actual question. No there isn’t a membership options page template.

All you need to know about the membership options page is that’s where users try to access something they don’t have access to. What do you want users to see at that point?

I’m afraid I don’t understand what you’re trying to accomplish.

Are you trying to make a button that only gives custom capabilities? Or a button that gives custom capabilities along with a level?

Hello Dominique,

s2Member does not support enabling or disabling comments on protected (or not) pages depending on user’s access.

To achieve this you have to edit your theme’s files in order to implement s2Member PHP conditionals (Knowledge Base » Simple Shortcode Conditionals) into your comments section…

Hello Julien,

So, if I understood correctly, no matter the page or restriction method, if it’s seen on an iPad it’s not blocked?

Or only if it’s a specific post/page access restricted?

Hello Brad,

This is possible but with some code.

You would have to make a little script that outputs the latest posts from a certain category depending on those content drip features. Instead of separating content through the content drip features. See what I’m saying?

Or something along those lines. I can’t really provide any help since I don’t know how to do it myself, just providing the logic for it. :)

Hello Ulrik,

Glad you solved the problem. :)

Well, honestly since I don’t know the reason for the problem I can’t offer any tips on how to avoid it in the future. I can say s2Member did not cause this though.

It’s most probable it was a conflict with s2Member though. One of your plugins or your theme conflicted with s2Member in a way that caused this error.

Have you set the 755 permissions on the /wp-config.php file? This file is in the same place as the wp-content folder, in other words they’re both located at the root of your WordPress install.

What do you mean with “Option #3”?

Your free users only demo pages right? For that just protect those demo pages at level #0, so that only (free) registered users can see it. However since you’re working with levels also paid members will be able to see the demo pages.

The level 1 user can only see 3 pages? If that’s the case just protect those 3 pages at level #1, level #2 users will also be able to see these pages.

And the actual user website, you just have to protect the actual user website with level #2. Just a question with this, is the level #2 user gonna buy it’s membership in website1 and get his access in website2 (as an example)?

Hello Kevin,

I’d like to point something out. While you can solve this with s2Member, it is not made for this. IT is not made to manage payments, it is made to manage memberships. You could probably use PayPal alone in a way that would work much better. :)

You can have users pay their own amount and stuff like that with some small hacks in the shortcode and using an MU plugin. This would be used along with specific post/page access links.

Do you still want me to tell you the solution?

Hello Tomm,

You can only see the s2Member lock icon when you are in the All Pages WP admin panel. Only there.

If it’s the Login Welcome Page you can also see it in the page edit I believe, but because it’s blocking it for you.

Does this answer your question?

Well, if none of these work for you, then you have to hire a freelancer to implement whatever system you can use. :/

Hello Tomm,

You can give the user higher access by just modifying the user and giving him a higher access level. :)

Just go to edit the user’s info (in the WP admin panel) and modify his role/level to s2Member level 1. :)

Hello Chris,

Are you using s2Member download protections? You can find them under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options.

If you are, could you please post the URL with which you are able to access the URL without logging in? Thanks!

Hello Rachel,

This is totally possible. However instead of levels to protect the pages, I suggest you use custom capabilities. So that you can separate it from the normal users. :)
