Hello Sébastian, It is possible, but it is not recommended or necessary. WordPress already offers a password field, adding another one would be a waste of space, and would not be secure… What would you use this password field’s input for? – Eduan |

That’s strange… Could you try just re-installing Quick Cache? Do you have any other cache plugins besides Quick Cache? – Eduan |

OK, simple enough… For this you can use an s2Member shortcode, which you can find under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Member Profile Modifications. However this only allows the user to see his own account info, not another’s user. Do you want the user to be able to see other users’ profiles? – Eduan |

Hello Elliot, Yeah I see what you mean, however that’s a pro version feature. :) Check under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Subscr. Modification Buttons to generate modification buttons, this is if you are offering PayPal subscriptions. If you’re using buy-now buttons just offer the user a higher level’s button, a normal one. :) You would put the ccaps that you want to offer in the ccaps attribute as usual. :) – Eduan |

Indeed. With the free version they would have to pay for the membership, even if it’s only 1 cent. With the pro version you can offer a pro-form which gives them free access to whatever level though… – Eduan |

Hello Stewart, Well for the free content that requires no registration at all you just don’t do anything to that page with s2Member. If you don’t protect it at all anyone can access it. :) Does that answer your question? – Eduan |

Hello Pam, Well, s2Member does not offer any role management to be honest. It just adds his own roles so that it can protect stuff. Also, it’s worth mentioning that s2Member only offers restrictions for stuff like bbPress through it’s URI restrictions (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› URI Access Restrictions). Check under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Other Integrations -› bbPress® for integrating (the user base I believe) with bbPress. – Eduan |

Hello Mary, The best way is to make a 1 cent transactions in order to test the entire process. Just make a new button (or change your current button) so that it charges 1 cent, and with a friend’s account or something go through the process and see if it doesn’t have any errors. Then change the price to the original price. :) Does that answer your question? – Eduan |

Hello Robert, To be honest the best way to accomplish this is with another plugin. There are lots of plugins that can make a list of users and have a profile I believe. The first part I’m sure, the second not so much… – Eduan |

Ah I see, well if it’s invite only there’s a better work-around. You protect 1 page with a specific post/page access restriction. Then if you want to invite somebody you just email them a link you generate under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Specific Post/Page Access Links, which allows them to access that page momentarily, without having to pay for it. And inside that page you put a PayPal button. So basically you’re approving/inviting them by sending the link and they’re paying for the access (already approved) in that page. – Eduan |

Hello George, There’s the membership options page, which users get redirected to when they try to access something they can’t. And there’s the login welcome page, to which users are redirected once they login. You offer users PayPal buttons with which they pay and then get redirected to register as a paid user. You can generate these buttons under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Membership Level # Buttons, but first you must configure PayPal under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options. Does that answer your question or did I miss something? – Eduan |

Ah I see. Well, I want to make clear, you can only offer custom capabilities by having the user pay for level 1. If you have the pro version you can offer custom capabilities during free registration, and you can even offer ccaps without having to modify the user’s level. But without the pro version every time you want to give custom capabilities you gotta modify the user’s level as well. :/ – Eduan |

Hello Mark, You must first disable open registration under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Open Registration. Then all you gotta do is offer a PayPal button. Once they pay you with the button they’ll be redirected to a registration form which will register them as level 1. You can generate the PayPal buttons under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Membership Level # Buttons. Be sure to first fill your PayPal info under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options. :) – Eduan |

Yeah I’m afraid that’s not possible without another plugin that accomplishes just this, and doesn’t cause conflicts with s2Member somewhere. So you don’t want users to register at all if they’re not approved? Because using this method you can keep them away from the content until you approve them… – Eduan |
