Hello Pete, Have you tried using a shortcode? Cause the names don’t really apply when using the HTML version. Also, sorry for the delay. – Eduan |

Hello there, Well, have you checked the options under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Alternative View Protection? Also, have you checked s2Member conditionals? Here’s an article about them: Hope this helps. :) |

:( Well you can always hire a freelancer to do this for you, in case you don’t find another membership software that meets your needs. Once again, you can try jobs.wordpress.net if you like. ;) |

Hmm… That’s strange, I haven’t encountered this behavior, is this to pay a new membership or to renew their existing membership? |

Well there’s one way to do this, but you would need the pro version. You would create a page, let’s name this page “index page”, in this index page, you would put links to the pages with your PayPal pro-forms, you would have one page per PayPal pro-form (since otherwise there are errors). Each of those pages would have their own PayPal pro-form with the price of the membership etc. Now, these pro-forms would contain the success attribute in their shortcode (which you can read about under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Shortcode Attributes (Explained) at the bottom) which would point to the membership options page. Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Christine, Glad you found the problem! Regarding the success attribute, I’m pretty sure this is not possible, unless you search through the source code and find it. :/ |

Hello John, Not sure I can provide a correct answer for all of the questions, but I will do what I can. :)
s2Member supports PayPal, Authorize.net, Google Checkout and ClickBank as payment gateways.
If you want members to get incremental access (level 2 gets everything that level 1 and level 0 gets) then levels would work for you, if you want different content for each “level”, then you would use ccaps, for which you can find more info in this video: Video » s2Member (Custom Capabilities)
This isn’t currently possible with s2Member, you could hire a service like MailChimp and set it up so that it sends the email reminder after a certain amount of time (if the membership doesn’t have variable membership times).
I’m afraid for this you would have to make a script which goes through the existing users and checks if they were created before a certain day, if yes then change their EOT. Any competent freelancer could do this for you, you can check at websites like jobs.wordpress.net for this.
I believe there was a hack for this already… I did a quick search but wasn’t able to find it, although I’m pretty sure there already is a hack for this. Hope this helps. :) |

That’s basically it, you can control the checkout process in a more elegant way, your customers will pay and create their account at the same time, and it will retain the look of your website.
If you don’t have PayPal pro, then I believe you will still be able to use pro-forms, but won’t be able to accept various credit cards, only PayPal payments, but you still have the pro-form look and idea.
You can use both pro-forms and normal buttons (even buttons created over at PayPal), you can combine them anyway you want, but you can’t have one inside the other (just to clarify that). Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Claudine, You can achieve this with only one login welcome page, you would just use s2Member conditionals, which allow you to separate the content depending on the user’s access, check this article for more info: Hope this helps. :) |

You can change this email under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Signup Confirmation Email if I’m not mistaken.
So you want it so that this confirmation email of sorts isn’t even sent? Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Robert, You can achieve this blocking the content with URI restrictions, simply use a “/” without the quotes. You can find URI restrictions under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› URI Access Restrictions. Also, you might be interested in s2Member conditionals, here’s an article about them: Knowledge Base » s2Member® Conditionals Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Christine, Could you please try doing a compatibility test? Just change the theme back to the default one (TwentyEleven), and see if that fixes the problem. And for the plugins, simply disable all of them except s2Member, and if the problem disappears, then enable them one-by-one until the problem returns, and there you will have your culprit. Hope this helps. :) |

I don’t understand the question fully, you mean what they get when they click that URL? If so, then I’m not sure, since I haven’t gone through the registration process myself.
This I’m sure I don’t understand, lol. Could you please be a little more descriptive of what you mean? Thanks. :)
And I really can’t offer any advice at all with CCBill, it’s not a payment gateway I’ve used, or plan to use. :/ |

Hello Deepa, So, if I understood correctly, you need users to be redirected to the membership options page after they register successfully correct? |

Hello Chris, Yes that is supposed to be there, s2Member adds it in order to avoid compatibility issues with file downloads and GZIP. Hope this helps. :) |

Sorry for not being clear, when we say clean install we mean a newly installed WordPress, only WordPress and s2Member, that way we can rule out if it’s a plugin or the theme causing the problem.
Oh no, there’s no real danger, it’s just that some people prefer to not show their URL, for whatever reason, that’s up the person.
I know exactly what you mean! You will have to upload it to an external place, currently this forum system doesn’t allow uploads, so you’ll have to upload it to your server or something and put an image using the resulting link. |

Hello MP, No, if it’s subsites or something along those lines then there’s no problem in having different WordPress installations. Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Randy, If the button you generated was generated over at paypal.com, then follow the instructions in this topic in order for it to work with s2Member correctly: Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Chris, Well seeing how you can only put 1 pro-form per page, the best way to go on about this would be to have a page where users will choose what level they wish to buy, you can put your content that will sell that, and then you can redirect them to a page for the registration of the different levels. The only problem is, the fields would still remain available regardless of the level they choose. If you really need this, then here’s something I can think of, use the same flow as the above, but require the fields depending on the level they are for, so if a field is for a user at level 1 then it will be protected at that level, I suggest you use ccaps for this though. Then when the user registers, in the login welcome page put a link for them to modify their profile, at which moment they would finish filling out those fields. If this flow doesn’t work for you, then the next thing you can try is coding this in yourself or hiring a freelancer to do this for you at websites like jobs.wordpress.net or something of the like. Hope this helps. :) |
