Hi Peter,

Regarding the ‘edit your profile’ link: please make sure the Edit Profile field on the Pro Login Widget options is set to %%automatic%% and not %%automatic%%%20%29.

Regarding ‘Create your Fandom’: Are you trying to add a field to the Pro-Form that automatically populates with WordPress posts/pages/tags/categories? If so, you’ll need to customize the Pro-Form template manually, as such a field cannot be added through Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields. Please see Pre Sale FAQs » Is it possible to modify s2Member® Pro Form templates?

Hi Will,

I have sent Jason a message to see if he has any further details on this. Thank you for your patience.

Hi Weston,

That is not currently a feature of s2Member, however you could create your own WordPress plugin that searches for all users who belong to a specific role (e.g., non-free roles like s2member_level1) and then sends them an email notification.

Hi Simon,

Unfortunately it’s going to be easier to edit the custom fields from within s2Member; the database tables are not designed in such a way that would make the process any easier. (Also, if you didn’t assign any custom classes to them in the first place, there wouldn’t be anything to “search” for to replace.)

Hi Peter,

As per our Support Policy, we do not offer phone or live chat support. Support for products by s2Member® is handled only through our Customer Support Forum.

Regarding your questions:

The ‘edit my profile ‘ link doesnt work for some reason… can you help please?

Which ‘edit my profile’ link are you referring to? The one here on this support forum in the sidebar?

Choose Country but it’s not populating with countries

Did you fill in the Option Configuration box with a list of all the countries for that field, as the example shows? There is no pre-configured list of countries, so you’ll need to generate that and provide them when creating the Custom Registration Field.

Create your Fandom we want to populate the area on the form by pulling from WordPress [sq_topics]

I’m not sure what you mean by “Fandom” or “sq_topics”. Could you please elaborate?

Hi Daniel,

I think what Cristian is suggesting is that you add PHP code directly to the page where you display the user profile. From there, you can use the Advanced PHP Conditionals (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Advanced PHP Conditionals) to check the level of the current user and then display the necessary HTML.

You could even store the iFrame information in a custom profile field and then extract that with PHP and use it when outputting the necessary HTML.

However, looking at your site, it appears that you’re using BuddyPress, which means the profile pages are generated automatically by BuddyPress. In that case, you’ll need to dig into the BuddyPress code and figure out how to modify that.

Hello,

The logs are not meant to be opened with Excel; they are plain text files. The best way to search for the transactions in question is to search for either the email address or the PayPal Transaction ID.

Hello,

It sounds like you’ll want to use S2MEMBER_CURRENT_USER_PAID_REGISTRATION_TIME:

This will always be an (int); in the form of a Unix timestamp. However, this will be 0 if they’re not logged in; or if they’ve never paid you at all ( i.e. if they’re still a Free Subscriber ). This holds the recorded time at which the Member originally registered their Username (or upgraded for) any type of “paid” access to your site. This value is preserved for the lifetime of their account, even if they upgrade, and even if they’re demoted at some point. Once this value is recorded, it never changes under any circumstance. This is useful if you want to drip content over an extended period of time, based on how long someone has been a “paying” Member (period); regardless of their original or existing Membership Level.

You can see examples of its usage at Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› PHP/API Constants.

It’s definitely something you’ll want to talk to a developer about, as it would require having a fairly strong grasp of the PHP language.

That will really be up to SagePay. You may want to check their website.

Hi David,

You can configure your “From” address for those emails in Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Email Configuration.

Regarding the format of the checkbox data: I will need to consult with a colleague and get back to you. Thank you for your patience.

Hi Sherri,

You can use a Free Registration form (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Free Registration Forms) and limit the access to a specific timeframe. Please see the note in the inline documentation:

[You can] limit this access to a certain timeframe with tp=”30″ tt=”D” ( i.e. 30 Days ).

When someone uses that form to signup, their account will expire after the given amount of time and they will be demoted or deleted depending on what you’ve configured for the Automatic EOT Behavior (see Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Automatic EOT Behavior).

Ric,

I was mistaken. I just looked at the source code and the email should be coming from the subscribers email address.

However, if you install an SMTP plugin in WordPress, those emails should still be relayed through whatever SMTP server you configure, so I suggest giving that a shot to see if it helps with delivery.

My apologies for the confusion.

It is something we will consider for a future version of s2Member, but at this time there are no details on what features will or will not be included in the next version.

I’m going to escalate this to Jason (the lead developer) and see if he has any ideas.

Thank you for your patience.

Ric,

The email that gets sent to Aweber includes the subscribers address (so that Aweber knows which email address should be subscribed to the list), but that email doesn’t come from the subscriber; it comes from WordPress/s2Member. (see below). That means it will be sent using whatever from address WordPress/s2Member is configured with and it will use the SMTP settings defined (if none are defined, which is the default, WordPress will attempt to use the mail transfer agent on the web server to send the email and sometimes that causes problems).

If you haven’t made any configuration changes specific to the s2Member Pro add-on, could you try deleting the s2Member Pro add-on and then see if the PayPal button generator starts working again?

From the sound of the problem, it seems like either a server configuration issue or something related to your browser (JavaScript, browser cache, etc.). If your web host made any recent changes on the server (such as a software upgrade or changes to the Apache or PHP configuration), that could explain why things suddenly stopped working.

Do you know if your web host recently upgraded or changed anything?

Could please you try the following steps:

– Make sure Deactivation Safeguards are enabled (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Deactivation Safeguards) and then disable and re-enable the s2Member plugin
– Clear your browser cache
– Restart all open browsers
– Try generating the button again

Hi Paul,

You’d need to duplicate the page because of the way s2Member implements restrictions. If you restrict a page to a specific membership level (i.e., allow only members to view the page), then you cannot also provide one-time (Specific Page/Post Access) to that same page. Doing so would create a conflict within s2Member: The non-member wouldn’t be able to view the page restricted to members-only.

Giving temporary membership access to users instead of selling the page via Specific Post/Page Access would be another way to solve the problem.

Hello,

Are you running the latest versions of s2Member and WordPress?

Also, to help with further debugging, please enable logging (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Authorize.Net® Options -› Account Details -› Logging), conduct another test, and then share the details for that transaction from the log files in wp-content/plugins/s2member-logs/ (be sure to X-out any private information).

Hi Laurent,

I implemented something similar a few months ago. Please see this thread on the old forum for more details:
