Hi there. You can choose a segment to add the user to when you configure the MailChimp integration in s2Member. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / List Servers -› MailChimp®[/hilite] You’ll notice the example below the box for the list(s) at each level:
Also, if you use merge fields, you can have the s2Member custom capabilities be added as merge fields when adding the user, which can be used for segmentation. http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/s2member-mailchimp-and-ccaps/#post-17078 The integration still doesn’t allow checkboxes for the user to pick what segment he’ll be in, though. If you use the ccaps approach, you could add an HTML form to let the user pick the ccaps which, when submitted, reloads the page with the button/pro-form’s shortcode updated with the chosen ccap(s). http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1604 I hope that helps! |

Hi Daniel. You’d need to hack your installation a bit to achieve either one. For the email, this thread may help: http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10368&p=33365#p33365 For the thank-you page, you could have the hack check the GET vars for [hilite mono]s2member_paypal_return[/hilite] being set and, if so, set the success URL dynamically. For the ClickBank gateway it’s [hilite mono]s2member_pro_clickbank_return_success[/hilite], but I haven’t done it with PayPal before, you’d need to review the code to find the right var. I hope it helps. :) |

I’m sorry I missed the line where you mentioned using the success attribute. Okay, you have a these options that I can think of: – Edit the default thank-you page’s template. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› PayPal® PDT / Auto-Return -> Auto-Return Page Template[/hilite] – Use PHP to generate an access link in the custom thank-you page you point to in success. – Just have a message in the custom thank-you page, saying that he should check his inbox for an email with the access link. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Specific Post/Page Confirmation Email[/hilite] I think the last one may be the best. I hope it helps. :) |

Okay. I just tested this and it all went fine! :) I first had to create a page in your site with the s2Member shortcode for the ClickBank button, published it, logged out of the admin account, went to that page and clicked the button. Went through the checkout and was taken to the custom thank-you page at /gracias-bienvenido-al-equipo/ without errors. Then I went to register the account and logged in to the new account and had access to the content. I also properly received both, the Signup Confirmation and New User emails. You may want to customize the emails, though, particularly the Signup Confirmation one, since it went to the Spam folder. Make it more unique so it’s not picked up by the spam filters. You may want to do some test purchases yourself too. |

Hi Soosie. :) Well, the replacement codes are avaiable for s2Member emails, like the Signup Confirmation one, or the New User email if you customize it. But it seems you’re talking about another email not handled by s2Member. If that’s the case, you’ll need to create your own script to query the database for those fields and customize the emails sent. These may be useful: http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3145&p=9683#p9683 I hope it helps! |

Hi Aaron. s2Member doesn’t do branding on the front, except for the header image in wp-login.php, which you can change easily. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Login Registration Design[/hilite] Ah, and the Security Badge, but you’re not required to use it, it’s up to you. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Security Badge[/hilite] s2Member doesn’t add a message in the footer the way other plugins do, so no need to worry about it. :) |

You can try the [hilite mono]success[/hilite] attribute in your button’s shortcode. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Shortcode Attributes -> success[/hilite] I hope it helps. :) |

You can simply have a link to the standard WordPress registration page /wp-login.php?action=register. Or you can create a registration page in a WP page/post, using the free registration pro-form. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Free Registration Forms[/hilite] I hope it helps. :) |

Yes, it is. s2Member adds the [hilite mono]access_s2member_level0[/hilite] capability to the subscriber role. You could verify this in your installation using a plugin like User Role Editor. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/user-role-editor/ What happens if you register a user with the regular BuddyPress registration form, or with an s2Member free registration pro-form?
I know that BuddyPress adds an account activation step to the registration process. Did you activate the account before trying to access the protected pages? Just checking. The free registration pro-form bypasses that, though. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Free Registration Forms[/hilite] |

I didn’t have that happen. When I clicked the box, the check mark appeared. What I did notice was that I submitted the form with everything filled out, except the Terms checkbox, and I wasn’t required to do it before proceeding. JavaScript is enabled in my browser, so it’s something with your script that is not requiring the field. Did you try using the s2Member custom profile fields for this instead of custom code? Thanks for the input, guys. Jason and I already talked about such a feature, or very close to it, some months ago when designing the new s2Member that’s been in development. I don’t have the specifics of what Jason ended up implementing lately, but I’ll make a note about it to ask, or at least look for when I get my hands on a beta of it in the future. ;) |

Thanks Suhaib! Jason took care not to leave vulnerabilities in the script, but I’ll report this to him so he can review it once more if needed. :) |

[hilite pre_code]
$s2member_last_payment_time = get_user_field ("s2member_last_payment_time"); # Timestamp. Last time an actual payment was received by s2Member. [/hilite] Should give what you want, why do you say it’s wrong? Maybe it’s because of the time difference between the server and you? I would also like to know what time it happened and what time is stored. You can also use the payment notifications together with a script to save each payment. Hi JW. The way to sell access is certainly going to be improved over the current one, but I can’t give specifics yet, nor a release date estimate. :/ |

That’s weird. No s2Member restriction is applied to the administrator. Hmm… It may be a session problem. Could you please read this article? Knowledge Base » Logged in but am considered logged out I hope it helps. :)
If that article doesn’t answer the problem, could you please send your site’s info so we can take a closer look? s2Member® » Private Contact Form |

Right, you need s2Member in the site where the membership area will be.
No, you can’t use the pro-forms outside of the installation where s2Member is.
No problem! Glad to help. :) |

Good, then the shortcode works well. The full code may then be giving you that error because you enabled button encryption over at PayPal, so sending the data unencrypted causes that. The shortcode will output an encrypted button if you enabled that in your options, so that worked well. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Encryption[/hilite] Don’t worry about the PHP bits in the full code then, since you shouldn’t be using the full code anyway. Unless you want to disable encryption. |

Michael, the error says it’s an authentication problem, did you make sure that your credentials were entered correctly in all the fields required for the integration? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options[/hilite] About the sandbox, make sure you didn’t use sandbox credentials above, and that sandbox is not enabled in s2Member and PayPal. In the meantime, to avoid problems with your customers that paid for the bundle, generate a new Specific Post/Page access link for the bundled page that they’re not being able to access with the link they got on purchase, and send it to them by email. You can wait until they email you about this problem, or just send it to them before they notice. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Specific Post/Page Access Links[/hilite]
I was able to reproduce that with a generated link bundling two protected pages. The landing page can be accessed, but not the other one. I did that same test in my own site and the access worked correctly for the two pages I bundled, so it works in a clean s2Member installation. I reviewed the logs, but they look okay. You say you didn’t have this problem before, so I’m suspecting a plugin may be causing this behavior, or you didn’t sell bundled pages before and that’s why you didn’t notice it. It’s also very possible that the continued access after the expiration time is caused by the same thing. I know you said you didn’t change anything there, but it’s work testing it quick. To test fast, after doing a full backup of your installation, please deactivate all the plugins except s2Member, and test the link again. Can you now access the two pages it should give access to? How about expired links? If they work correctly now, activate the plugins back one by one, testing after each, until the links stop working correctly again. I’ll wait for your update. :) |

Okay, the link I created still gives me access… I’m looking at the problem with the link not giving all the access now. |
