Hi Bojan, Jaime.

What’s different between the two kinds of registration? Is it just a field where they pick which one they are (i.e. coach or athlete), or are the form fields different based on that?

Are you using the BP profile fields to separate the types of user? Do BP fields serve a special function in BP behavior or just store info to display in the profile?

You could use the s2Member pro-forms for registration, but these don’t use the BP profile fields, only the s2Member profile fields.

The s2Member profile fields can be integrated with BuddyPress to show them in the BP registration form or user’s profile, but I think that’s about it.

The pro-forms aren’t available in the free s2Member, but you can test if they profile fields integration would work. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields -> BuddyPress[/hilite]

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Donald.

Yes, you can use them with free version of s2Member. :)

Hi Dave.

I’m sorry, but we’re not giving that service currently. All our development power is dedicated to developing s2Member itself, so we can’t do customizations for individuals at the moment. We’re recommending to find freelance developers in sites like jobs.wordpress.net. You should be able to find competent developers for a decent price.

I hope that helps. :)

No problem, Mary.

Regarding the custom profile fields in searialized arrays in usermeta, if you want to search users by them, this post may be helpful to your developer: http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15658&p=48878#p48878

Jason, thanks a lot for your good input helping Mary. Yes, the changes that are coming in the new generation of s2Member will make this a lot simpler, and more powerful too. Regarding the serialized arrays, the profile fields will be in their own tables to overcome the serialized array limitation that working the WP way imposes.

That doesn’t explain why the restriction is continuing, when we’ve set it for 30 minutes. Any ideas?

I was asking in case the issue mentioned in these other threads may be what you’re experiencing:

http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/reverse-proxy/
http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/s2member-and-cloudflare/

Basically, I’d like you to review if your site is viewing each user’s IP properly or if it thinks they all have the same one.

If that’s not the case, could you send your login details to take a look at your site and maybe do a test with a new test account to see the Unique IP’s restriction behavior? s2Member® » Private Contact Form

Thanks. :)

No, you need do_shortcode to parse the shortcodes. I meant disabling the other filters and leaving just do_shortcode.

Thanks. I got your email. I’ll forward this to Jason to review it.

Hi Kim.

Sure. s2Member Pro is an add-on to the s2Member Framework, so you wouldn’t remove/change what you have, just add Pro to it. Your current settings would remain. s2Member® » Pro » Install/Upgrade Instructions

I hope that helps. :)

Hmm.. since they’re being added there by WP Affiliate, I’d check with the developer for it how he could improve the plugin to not cause you the problem you’re having. I’m sure he’ll be able to help you, since he’s the one that created the integration. :)

Oh, no problem. Glad to help if I can.

I’m sorry those times aren’t logged yet. I’ll take it as a request and let Jason know.

1- can i have a single s2M installation direct to TWO totally different lists on MC? If so, great.

By MC do you mean MailChimp? If so, yes, the integration is based on Levels, and each level can add the user to more than one list/group in MailChimp.

2- if not, can i install s2M completely from scratch on a /fr sub-domain?

Yes. They’d be independent from each other.

3- would i need a fresh WP install on such a sub-domain to run another instance of s2M?

What do you mean? If it has to be a new WP installation or it can be an existing one? You can use s2Member regardless of WP being a new installation or not. Or did I misunderstand the question?

Hi Tricia.

The s2Member shortcode for the button/pro-form doesn’t have that feature. If you can make it work with a PayPal created button, then this article will help integrate it with s2Member: Knowledge Base » Using PayPal created buttons

I hope it helps. :)

Hi Christian.

You can try integrating other services. Here’s a post that may help: http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=3154

Or look at the files for other gateways in s2Member Pro (e.g. ClickBank) to see how they were integrated and follow the example for yours.

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Jacequelyn.

Is the payment done by someone that hasn’t registered yet, or someone that’s logged in and is upgrading his account?

The PayPal created button will work with new users, not registered ones upgrading because the button won’t reference the user, so the payment won’t go towards his account.

If it’s for a new user that will register after checkout, could you please show me a screenshot of the page where you created the button, with all the fields added for the s2Member integration, please? Thanks!

Hi Mary.

You can reset the restriction for that user from his profile.

Is it just that user or are there many more users with that restriction being applied to them?

Hi Jinger.

Yeah, that must be very frustrating.

Could you please make sure you have the Deactivation Safeguards enabled? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Deactivation Safeguards[/hilite]

If it’s disabled, then you’ll lose all your settings after each deactivation. When you update, the first thing WordPress does is deactivate the plugin.

I hope that helps!

You’re welcome, Elizabeth. I’m glad you got it working. Thanks for the update! :)

Thanks for the update, Adam, and for reporting your findings. I’m forwarding it to Jason so he can take a look at this. :)

I think this may be possible in the new s2Member. I’m forwarding your request to Jason. :)

Hmm… weird, I’ve only seen it happen with the theme or a plugin. The default WP installation with s2Member doesn’t have that issue.

Well, you could try the TrueEdit plugin, using it to remove all the filters except [hilite mono]do_shortcode[/hilite]. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/trueedit/

Let me know if it helps.

Ah, that sounds like BuddyPress’ activation email thing. Do you have BuddyPress? It adds an account activation step.

Cool. :)

Thanks for the update! I’m very glad you sorted it out. :)

Thanks for the feedback, Andrew.

[hilite mono]%%first_name%%[/hilite], [hilite mono]%%last_name%%[/hilite], [hilite mono]%%full_name%%[/hilite] and [hilite mono]%%payer_email%%[/hilite] are available for the Signup Confirmation email. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Signup Confirmation Email[/hilite]

The custom profile fields are available as replacement codes in the New User email, but not in the Signup Confirmation emails. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Email Configuration -> New User[/hilite]

The replacement codes you see there are the ones available, there aren’t non-documented ones as far as I know. If you really need new ones, you’d have to hack the code for it to add them, I guess.

About using the custom values for the custom profile fields, you could probably use JavaScript to do it in the form, so that what is entered into a profile field, gets added as a custom value.

Thanks a lot for the great requests/suggestions, I’m forwarding them to Jason to consider. :)
