Thanks for the kudos, Philly. :) Jason is working on improving the JS and CSS, for sure. Not sure what approaches he’s taking yet, cause I still haven’t seen the new code, but this is something that we mean to speed up as much as we can. Sorry, been trying to figure out why it wouldn’t work, but couldn’t solve it yet. I’ll email Jason, will let you know when I know something. |

If you’re selling the person a Specific Post/Page access, the person is not required to register an account. Could you please show me the page? |

Hi Tiffany. I’m not sure I understand your question, could you explain some more? I did notice that your page is not loading securely. Please add teh [hilite mono]s2member_force_ssl[/hilite] custom field to the page so s2Member helps you secure all the resources loaded. Pre Sale FAQs » Do I need an SSL certificate to use PayPal® Pro or Authorize.Net®?
 I hope it helps. :) |

Hi Laura. You’ll need to use another plugin for that, s2Member doesn’t have file upload for the profile yet. |

Hi Graham. No, s2Member doesn’t have that functionality yet and the new major release is not ready this. We’re hoping to include that in the first release, but are not sure yet. Sorry. :/ There was some discussion about group access in the old forum about, but don’t remember anyone finishing that customization to know how they did it. You can search there if you want. I hope you find something helpful. :) |

Could you post a link to the page where you have it? It could be a JavaScript problem caused by a plugin or the theme. As a test, could you change the theme to the default TwentyEleven one? If that doesn’t solve it, could you deactivate the other plugins and test again? |

lol, yeah, I can tell! I’ve been teasing on purpose, sorry about that. :P Yeah, the “about a month” is almost up, but we still have a little more to go to have it ready. Jason is practically full time on it, neck deep, and making good progress. It’s a total rewrite, that’s why it’s taking longer than the normal update releases, but that’s also why it’ll have so many new and improved features. It’s a good thing Jason codes quite fast. Believe me, I’m as anxious or more than you! lol Anyway, I don’t have a definite ETA myself, so we’ll let you guys know when we have at least the beta, cause then it’ll be more clear when the release will happen, but I’m expecting it soon. :) Thanks for your patience. |

Hi Greg. Absolutely. s2Member doesn’t protect nothing that you don’t specify. You could have the whole site without applying any access restriction and it’d be all public. I hope that helps understand it. :) |

Hi Jon. Thanks for the kudos! I’m glad your client is so happy. :) The Authorize.Net integration is simple to use, similar to PayPal’s, and it supports recurring billing. Now, I don’t know if it’ll work with the other recurring billing service the CRM is offering you. You’ll most probably have to create a custom integration so it all works right. I suggest that you dig into the source files for the Auth.Net one as a starting point. I hope that helps! |

Thanks for the kudos, John. :) [hilite mono]/wp-login.php?action=register[/hilite] is not the s2Member pro-form for registrations, it’s just the default WordPress registration form and BuddyPress redirects it to its own registration page. If you want to use another registration page, with an s2Member Pro free registration pro-form, you’ll need s2Member Pro. Without it you only have the default BuddyPress registration. I hope that helps. |

Hi Berni. No, we don’t have such a guide. There’s only the big of documentation suggesting to use PayPal’s IPN Proxy and that’s it. You could benefit from looking at the source files for PayPal or the other gateways s2Member integrates with to customize for Share It. In the coming major release of s2Member we’ll have a much better API to integrate new gateways with less trouble, but for now this is what we have. Either way you’ll need to do some custom coding. I hope that helps. :) |

The custom capability restriction is applied to pages/posts from the s2Member box in the edit page for it.
To have payment and registration in the same page, you’d use s2Member’s pro-forms with PayPal Pro or Authorize.Net. You can sell Custom Capabilities to members at Level 0 or higher. I hope that helps. :) |

Right, the Payment Data Transfer is important so it informs s2Member. The Auto-Return can be configured as a default in the PayPal account, but it’s still set on a transaction basis as explained in the quote I posted earlier. Does that help? |

You may want to try using this method, which is the one that does the job during registration, only you’d call it at some other time: [hilite mono]c_ws_plugin__s2member_list_servers::process_list_servers[/hilite] |

 You’re welcome! I’m glad I could help you. :)
Heh, there’s a good chance. There will be a big improvement for this, but I’m not sure if it’ll include payment times, so you may still need to use a hack. Anyway, this hack is quite simple, so it won’t take you too long to implement now, or update later. ;) |

Hi Ashique. Yes, you can have a registration form like that. That’s an s2Member Pro Form. The “Primary Domain” section is a custom field, you won’t have it in your installation unless you create it. Let me know if you have any other questions. :) |

Great! :) Right, seems to have been an outdated script. I guess the function changed since then, I just noticed the mistake yesterday when I reviewed its documentation again after a long time.
Yes, you can adapt the hack to store other values, like registration dates. |

Hi Derek. I don’t know if there are plugins that do that, haven’t searched for them, but I don’t think they’d conflict with s2Member. You could create a redirection away from wp-login.php using .htaccess with mod_rewrite. The problem is that even if you have a login widget and a registration form elsewhere, WordPress only provides the lost password recovery from [hilite mono]wp-login.php?action=lostpassword[/hilite], so keep that in mind to leave it avaialble there or make it available some other way. |

Hi Dana. The error you mention getting, I’ve seen come up because of a theme or plugin messing up the post parsing. If the theme is Primo Theme’s I can guess it’s a plugin. Could you please, as a test, deactivate other plugins one by one and refresh the page to try the button again after each? To deactivate plugins just in that page, you could try this plugin: Thanks! |

Hi Rebecca. Odd, you custom attribute domain matches the one you’re using in the site. Could it be that you have a link to that page somewhere that is missing the www? Also, do you get a log entry from those payment attempts? If so, please quote some here x’ing out any private info. Thanks!

Hi Franck. The Specific Post/Page access link is independent of user accounts, so it doesn’t matter if you login or out of 10 accounts, the link will keep working for you, especially if you still have the same IP, which is the only way it can guess that other people may be using it. If your user does have an account, or could register one, I suggest that you use Levels or Custom Capabilities tied to the account, instead of using the Specific Post/Page restriction. I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Derek. No, s2Member doesn’t work across blogs in multisite. It can be enabled in the blogs of the network, but s2Member’s scope would be the blog it’s active in only, not other blogs. |
