You mean sent by WordPress or from your email account? I’d still try the tips in the email delivery article. Knowledge Base » Troubleshooting Email Delivery Problems Also, have you tried the tips in this article? I’d suggest that you do if you haven’t yet. Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips

Hi Craig. There isn’t an ETA yet, but this is something we plan to implement. If you need something like this now, the simplest way I can think of is to use the Notifications API point to a custom script that’ll store in the db the data for each transaction, so you can query this to show a purchase history to the customer. Video » s2Member (API Tracking/Notifications) I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Nicole. I’m not familiar with BuddyPress to tell you where to edit. I’d ask in the BuddyPress’ forums where the template for the status updates is, and then you’d have to edit it to add a conditional there. |

When I submitted the registration pro-form, there seemed to be a 500 error… [hilite pre_code]HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error [/hilite] You could check with your hosting company for more information on that from their logs. Have you done the troubleshooting steps? I’d start with the theme/plugin conflicts. Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips I hope that helps. :) |

When you do the upgrade, you must be logged into the account you’re upgrading, or the payment will go towards a new account and two separate subscriptions would exist. What does the log say about the upgrade payment? Does it mention registration? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Log Files (Debug) -› s2Member® Log Viewer[/hilite] Also, are you using the modification button/pro-form for the upgrade? |

For s2Member’s settings to be removed on deactivation, you need to disable the Deactivation Safeguards. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Deactivation Safeguards[/hilite] Are these existing user accounts or new users? If existing, the user needs to be logged into his account for it to be upgraded. If new user account, does your browser accept cookies? A cookie should be set when you returning from PayPal so that the new registration sets the user with the paid access. The link sent by s2Member in the confirmatio email does the same, did you try that one too? Could you post here the shortcode you are using for the button/pro-form? |

Hi Rob.
Have you confirmed that you entered all the PayFlow API credentials properly? This video may help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0jOq2MRTVQ
I’m afraid not. PayPal requires to have PayPal as one of the payment options.
Whe you say “either place”, do you mean your website and PayPal? If so, maybe there’s a problem with the email account receiving the emails? If the payment is there in PayPal, it’d be very odd that PayPal didn’t send an email. Have you checked the spam folder? If the s2Member email is not there, you can try the tips in this article: Knowledge Base » Troubleshooting Email Delivery Problems If you try the email log plugin, does it show emails being sent by the site about the transaction? Like the signup confirmation email. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Signup Confirmation Email[/hilite] What do s2Member’s logs say about it? Do they mention the confirmation email being sent to the customer? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Log Files (Debug) -› s2Member® Log Viewer[/hilite] I hope that helps! |

Hi Robert. I’m pretty sure that if the person can open the file, he can also save it. To open it, the file already needs to be downloaded. |

Hi Bryan. The n probably comes from the \n which is a linebreak. It shouldn’t be displaying like that, though. But how do the options show up in the actual form’s dropdown? I just tried it in my test installation and couldn’t reproduce it. Could you follow the tips offered in this article, please? Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Simon. I don’t know if that’d be possible easily… If possible, then it’d be with a lot of customization. You’d need to create a new role with the right capability to show him the s2Member admin panel for this. Still, I don’t know it’d let you narrow the access down to just one part of one panel, instead of a whole admin page. Here’s an article on creating a new role, which you may find instructive to start working on your own. Knowledge Base » Creating A "User Manager" Role I hope that helps. |

Hi Marc-Andre. What do the log entries for a transaction like that say? (x’ing out any private info) That setting is fine to use, I don’t know that it’d cause a conflict. |

Hi Brandon.
s2Member sent the confirmation email after payment, which includes a special link to register with the access he paid for. This link will also allow registration even if Open Registrations are disabled. If the user didn’t receive get email, it’s possible that it is in their spam folder. To help prevent that from happening, you can customize your confirmation email with a unique one instead of the default. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Signup Confirmation Email[/hilite] If it isn’t in the spam folder, then you could try the tips in this article: Knowledge Base » Troubleshooting Email Delivery Problems If your users were able to register as free users, I’m guessing you probably have Open Registration enabled. You may want to disable that. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Open Registration[/hilite] s2Member would also normally set a cookie that is picked up on registration, that sets the proper access the user paid for, but I don’t see a mention of the cookie in the log entry you posted. Maybe because of the way the JVZoo integration is done? I’m not familiar with that integration to say for sure. I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Justin. Yes, you can do something quite close to that with s2Member. You can protect part of the page using conditionals. Knowledge Base » Simple Shortcode Conditionals Paying over at PayPal won’t register them automatically. After returning from PayPal they’d have to register. You can automate the login after registration, though. Knowledge Base » Auto-Login Upon Registration You could use the s2Member pro-forms instead of the PayPal buttons. To use the pro-forms you don’t need PayPal Pro, the free Express Checkout would be enough. The pro-form can register the user and forward him to PayPal to pay. Knowledge Base » s2Member® Pro Forms You can use the Login Welcome page to list the links to content they purchased. There isn’t a function to list all content the user has access to, but you could have conditionals checking if he has access to each of your pages, and display the link if he does. Knowledge Base » Customizing Your Login Welcome Page You can sell custom capabilities for each of the videos. This explains custom capabilities well: Video » s2Member (Custom Capabilities) For the new access to be added to the existing account the user needs to be logged in to his account. If he purchases a custom capability while logged out, then it’d go towards a new account. If he tries to register using the same email address, then WordPress won’t let him because it’s already in use by the previous account. I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Bryan. The EOT time is not available to s2Member unless the access was purchased with a one-time payment (i.e. buy-now), because subscriptions just keep going until cancelled. For subscriptions, the EOT time is set when the payment gateway notifies s2Member that it ended. The user’s CSV you export with s2Member includes a column for the Auto-EOT Date Here’s a hack that you may find interesting: http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/setting-up-eot-notifications/ I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Chris. I’m afraid that may not be possible. You seem to be saying that the customer would have two subscriptions then, but s2Member currently can only handle one subscription at a time. But you could instead merge both subscriptions into one and just charge more, unless the charges should happen at different times (e.g. one monthly and the other yearly). That said, the URI restriction works with levels so, if it’s an upgrade to the membership’s access, you could set it at a higher level. Levels give incremental access. If your regular membership is at Level 1, then the URI could be protected at Level 2. The user at Level 2 would also have access to content protected at Level 1. I hope that helps. :) |
