Hi Peter. If you sell Buy Now transactions, then you can use the free s2Member with PayPal Standard, or s2Member Pro with Express Checkout. Buy Now won’t require the user to login to his account, he’ll have the option to pay with a card. If you’re selling a subscription, though, the user will be required to login to his account, unless you get PayPal Pro with DPRP to sell subscriptions on your site and the user not be required to login to PayPal. The free s2Member doesn’t support PayPal Pro, but s2Member Pro does. I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Millie. Thanks for the kudos. :) No, I don’t have a particular developer to recommend, but you can post the job in sites like jobs.wordpress.net, odesk.com or elance.com. Have you tried one of those or similar? |

Jimmy, s2Member is fine for subscriptions too. With PayPal Standard or Express Checkout, when you sell a subscription, the user will be required to login to his PayPal account to pay and start the subscription. PayPal Pro with DPRP allows the user to pay without his card without having to login to PayPal, that’s why he mentioned it. |

I imagined that. What I meant was actually testing the output to confirm it is what you expect it to be, but you already found a problem with the other test.
The problem right now is not in the code to select the language, the return is not afffecting the output, the function [hilite code]my_translator[/hilite] is not even firing, apparently. What did you call the file where you have this hack we’ve been editing? Is it /wp-content/mu-plugins/s2-a.php as Jason indicated before? http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/custom-button-on-paypal-pro-form/#post-35211 Did you try the hack exactly the way he posted it and had it work before you went editing more? It’d be good to have a working starting point. |

Could you try the shortcode without the PHP block you had added for the IP address? It’s missing an echo, so that may be causing trouble, but you don’t need it anyway because now there’s the [hilite mono]%%user_ip%%[/hilite] replacement code available. [hilite pre_code][[s2Member-PayPal-Button level="1" ccaps="" desc="Monthly Subscriber / $2 a month" ps="paypal" lc="" cc="USD" dg="0" ns="1" custom="stockmd.net" ta="0" tp="0" tt="D" ra="2" rp="1" rt="M" rr="1" rrt="" rra="1" image="default" output="button" success="http://stockmd.net/thank-you/" /]] [/hilite] About the notification, could you enter your email address to get an email with all the variables? That way we can see if the notification fires and what the values of the replacement codes are. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Notifications -› Payment Notifications -> Email[/hilite] |

Hmm… Are the WordPress and site addresses correct in [hilite path]WP Admin -> Settings -> General[/hilite]? Could you post the shortcode you’re using for the pro-form?

When you say it doesn’t work, what do you mean? What is the output? This is a customization, we’re trying to help, but it actually falls outside the support policy, so I’m not sure if a core developer will code this for you. If you need a developer to solve this for you, maybe you should post the job in a site like jobs.wordpress.net, odesk.com or elance.com About the code, did you try checking it in parts? For example, did you test what the output of [hilite code]qtrans_getLanguage()[/hilite] is? Or what happens if you hardocde [hilite code]return 'de_DE';[/hilite] That kind of tests can help you find what’s working and what isn’t, to narrow down where the problem is. I hope that helps. :) |

Great. :) Make sure you complete these: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› PayPal Account Details[/hilite] This video may help with the PayFlow credentials part: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0jOq2MRTVQ Also, have logging enabled in case we need more information during your tests. Hi Mark.
I just tested in my installation the taxes, submitting wrong info to get an error and when the pro-form loaded again the tax was still calculated correctly. Have you tested your site for a plugin/theme conflict that may be causing the pro-form to work incorrectly in that regard? Please follow the tests suggested in this article: Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips Bruce alredy mentioned having found JavaScript errors in the page. I’d do the tests to find what’s introducing the problem to your pro-form. After you find what’s doing it, then solving it is possible fixing or replacing it.

Hi Greg. For the registration form, you’d link to http://www.mind2driveacademy.com/wp-login.php?action=register and it’ll be free if you have Open Registrations enabled. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Open Registration[/hilite] You can also use a free registration pro-form in a page/post. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Free Registration Forms[/hilite] I hope that helps. :) |

I don’t know. You should check with iDevAffiliate support if that is fine or if it’d cause trouble. :) |

Are they separate installations of WordPress? or did you install WP once and created all the child blogs from it? The latter is what is called multisite. http://codex.wordpress.org/Glossary#Multisite |

Hi Amanda. The first column is for the User ID. If the user exists in your WP database, then you can update his info referencing his ID there. If you enter the ID for a user that doesn’t exist, you’ll get an error. If you want to create a user, then leave that blank and s2Member will create the user with the info in the rest of the row. I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Oriol.
Yes.
They are roles, but don’t rename them. You can edit their capabilities, but if you rename them they become some other role.
Many have used it to edit s2Member roles.
Add them as capabilities of the s2Member Level role. Custom capabilities would be prefixed with [hilite mono]access_s2member_ccap_[/hilite], e.g. [hilite mono]access_s2member_ccap_video[/hilite]. I hope that helps. :) |

Hi David. No, PayPal Advanced is not the same as PayPal Pro, and s2Member doesn’t integrate with it yet. Jason has it in the to-do list for the new generation fo s2Member, as far as I know, though. |

You could use a conditional. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Simple/Shortcode Conditionals[/hilite] I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Jon. If you mean the labels, you could try these: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Membership Levels/Labels[/hilite] And those may not be displayed everywhere, you may need to customize your templates a bit if you need the label to show somewhere where it doesn’t yet. I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Jon. Sure. You could use the success attribute to redirect the person there after registration. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Custom Return URLs Upon Success -> Free registration[/hilite] Remember that for it to be an upgrade, the person needs to be logged in when he loads the page with the upgrade pro-form/button, though. So it’d be best if after registration you redirect them to login. Then you can have the upgrade in the Login Welcome, or using the login redirections for first login show him another page. I hope that helps. :) |

Happy New Year, Epix. :) I’d contact the developer of the Secure File Uploader plugin and ask him about multisite support. Have you tried that? |

Hi Carl. The initial term would be for the remaining days in the month, like you say, that if it’s charging daily you may have used the regular term set to 1 day… Could you post the shortocde with your PHP too? Put it inside HTML [hilite mono]<[/hilite][hilite mono]code>[/hilite] tags, please. |

Hi Siva. http://www.bayareatamilmanram.org/sample-page/ gives a 404. Why is the return URL pointing to that instead of http://www.bayareatamilmanram.org/?s2member_paypal_xco=s2member_pro_paypal_checkout_return as it’d normally be? What is the WP directory? Isn’t it in http://www.bayareatamilmanram.org? |
