Hello Zoe, thanks for your inquiry.

Yes this is possible with custom capabilities, they are independent of each other, allowing you to do this.

Does this answer your question?

Hello Brett, thanks for your inquiry.

Have you looked into offering a specific post/page access package that grants access to all the pages?

Hello Victor, thanks for the follow-up.

I’m currently not aware of any compatibility issues, could you please try deactivating the plugin and see if it works?

If possible, could you please paste a copy of your .htaccess file?

Thanks, and I hope this helps. :)

Hello there, thanks for your inquiry.

Yes this would work, but please maintain your main website field in your profile updated with your latest website.

You might also want to follow the instructions under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Localhost WAMP/MAMP Developers, just so it works as expected in your localhost enviroment.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello Victor, thanks for your inquiry.

You said that users that register for free are becoming WordPress subscribers, is that correct?

If so then this is expected behavior, the s2Member level 0 is WordPress’ subscriber, it’s the same role, just under a different name.

Hope this clears any confusion. :)

Yes, the use of the badge is completely optional.

As I’ve said, the only place s2Member is mentioned is in the badge and the login/registration page, and you can customize the login/registration page logo under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Login Registration Design.

Does this answer your questions?

The security badge is a badge that you can only use in your website once you pass some pre-requisites set by s2Member, it is placed in your website’s footer.

You can find it under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Security Badge. No, it cannot be customized, you can create one yourself that looks like the badges already available and post it here, and maybe it will be added to s2Member.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello Jose, thanks for your inquiry.

You will definitely be able to change the emails and the logo in the wp-login.php page.

Currently the only places you will find s2Member mentioned without any customization is in the security badge, if you wish to use it, and you’re not able to customize this badge.

The other place s2member is mentioned is in the login page and the default register page, these are customizable under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Login/Registration Design and you can change it to your own logo if you wish.

Hello Nola, thanks for the follow-up.

Yes this is certainly possible.

If you look under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Specific Post/Page Access Restrictions you will see that you can protect specific pages. Now, you can also not sell the special links that allow access to these protected pages, and instead give it to the person that you want to give the level to, through a special link which will nullify the restriction to that page, only for that user.

There will be a different page for each level, each will be protected by the specific post/page access restrictions. When you want to invite someone to be a member, you simply give them a special link which you will generate under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Specific Post/Page Access Links. Remember that each of these pages will need to have a pro-form for the level you want to give on that page.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello Fred, thanks for your inquiry.

You mean that they are able to pay if they wish? If so this is possible, also possible with the free version of s2Member.

Simply don’t protect any of the content, but do create a button that will allow them to buy paid access.

As long as users are a member in your website, they will be able to customize their profile, you might be interested in deactivating the option under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Member Profile Modifications, and instead using the option under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Member Profile Modifications.

I will send this feature request to Jason, our lead developer.

Meanwhile, have you checked under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Notifications?

I believe everything you wish for is there, please let me know.

Hello Bobby, thanks for your inquiry.

We have discontinued Ad Squares along with other 3 plugins for the reasons stated in this notice:
http://www.s2member.com/primothemes/

We hope you can understand.

I currently don’t know of any alternatives, maybe you could search with Google.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello Simon, thanks for your inquiry.

I understand why you would be worried.

As in the last paragraph, have you tried editing the email that will be sent to users? In there there’s a special replacement code that sends them their password, you can simply remove that replacement code.

You can do this under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Email Configuration.

I also invite you to check our KBA (Knowledge Base Article) on the subject:
Knowledge Base » Editing the New User Email Notification with s2Member®

Hope this helps. :)

Hello Kevin, thanks for your inquiry.

The error you’re receiving suggests that you have uninstalled the free version of s2Member before installing the Pro version. Is this correct?

Thanks for the follow-up.

No, this is currently not possible. Sorry, have you considered using specific post/page access restrictions in order to accomplish what you want?

You can find them under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Specific Post/Page Access Restrictions.

Hope this helps. :)

Hello cassel, thanks for your inquiry. :)

Have you tried or considered using 2 or more browsers?

In other words, in 1 browser have the edit page open, as an admin, and in the other browser be logged in as a visitor.

Hope this helps. :)

You can find them under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Custom Capabilities. They are available in the free and paid version of s2Member.

Jason was able to find the post I told you about:

It should answer your question about the MORE tag.

Hello Michael, thanks for your inquiry.

The documentation on s2Member is currently available through our KBAs (Knowledge Base Articles), which currently is still being filled.

And it is also available directly through the plugin itself, so the instructions to use each feature of s2Member is available through s2Member’s features itself.
