Hello Maxime, I’m afraid that in order for the user to upgrade they need to be logged in. Otherwise s2Member has no way to know which user it is that’s paying for the upgrade. – Eduan |

Hello Ryan, Glad you found the problem! Yes contacting Insta Builder would be the best move, although probably they’ll ask for s2Member to take responsibility (not bad-mouthing, just experience. ;)). – Eduan |

You can find some good instructions for the pro-forms under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Quick Start Guide. Is that what you were looking for? |

I can’t offer any advice myself. I haven’t really played with video players before. All the experience I can offer is with JWPlayer, and it’s a very small experience. Let’s hope other users do have recommendations. :) – Eduan |

Hello Kirk, I can see where your question is coming from. I’m not sure myself so I asked Jason (lead developer) for his thoughts. – Eduan |

Hello Aaron, I’m afraid this is not possible with s2Member. WordPress’ default fields and the fields that s2Member adds are separated. In order to add this you will need to modify WordPress itself to add this field and to atually make the check to make them equal. – Eduan |

No problem. Sorry for the name (see what I mean? If you switch it around we get confused, although what you did now is better). :) |

Glad I was able to help Arthur. :) If I ever need to hire somebody for something I’ll think of you first. :) You can find some contact info on my GitHub profile if you ever need to contact me. Also, be sure to check out my repos if you use Vim as a text editor. :) I agree s2Member is awesome, and I’m sure it’s gonna remain like that for a while. :) – Eduan |

Hello Kesava, Actually the shortcode for the player is the one provided by JWPlayer, however what s2Member does is give the JWPlayer shortcode another shortcode which tells the player the location of the file. Basically all that s2Member does is make sure that the user has the correct permissions, the rest is handled by JWPlayer. I suggest you still use mp4, it’s more compact from what I understand. :) – Eduan |

I don’t see why that would trigger a spam filter, however I don’t know how spam filters work. In the subject line I think it would trigger a spam filter to have all caps “IMPORTANT” there. However If you remove that I think it would be OK. If not you can add that and just add a reminder to check their spam. – Eduan |

Hello Hamasaka, Your second thought would be much easier, yes. :) However I will answer the first one. You will need to do an immense amount of custom coding I think. You can’t do it with s2member by default I’m pretty sure. Basically you would need to create a page for each member, and each page will have it’s own custom capability with the name of the user, and each user will have that custom capability. – Eduan P.S.: I don’t know anymore, but I did call you by your name right? Not by your family name? I just get confused because sometimes they switch it around. I do know that Japanese put their lastname first. :) |

Hello Arthur, They are probably missing it because they think they already know what the email is gonna say (since it’s usually generic). I would suggest making it seem different from the default email (which it should be) in a way that makes them notice that. Perhaps a big “IMPORTANT!” message or something like that. Or have somewhere in your website a reminder along the lines of “Already registered? Sign in! Can’t register? Check your email inbox for the confirmation email!” or something like that. Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Jimmy, That’s strange behavior, it means that for some reason s2Member is not being able to make the URL into readable text (or something along those lines). Could you try these common troubleshooting tips and see if they fix the problem? Remember to clear the cache each time you test it. ;) – Eduan |
