Hello Matthew, That’s strange… Have you checked under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Member Profile Modifications? Also, make sure that by no means you are blocking the login page (URI restrictions Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› URI Access Restrictions). – Eduan |

Hello Michael, Hmm… Do you have URI restrictions enabled? The only way to block the homepage with s2Member is using URI restrictions. Look for a ‘/’ or anything that includes the URL of your website’s homepage. – Eduan |

Hello Jewels, As long as you have deactivation safeguards active, you should have backed up everything, if you didn’t have them active, then no, you would have to backup again. You can find deactivation safeguards under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Deactivation Safeguards. Recently Bruce made a post about moving/exporting/importing websites, but I couldn’t find it, but it’s there somewhere. – Eduan |

Hello there,
Yes, I forgot to mention that. I suggest jobs.wordpress.net, if you want to use WordPress for this. Or freelancer.com or elance.com.
Yes you can do this, the only problem with this is that s2Member still doesn’t think in groups, only thinks per user. So if all the users use the same account then it’s no problem. Just remember to change your IP restriction settings (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Unique IP Access Restrictions). And since you have the pro version, you can use free registration pro-forms, even to offer paid levels, for free. – Eduan |

I was gonna say, why don’t you use a fourth level? So what level 0 does will become level 1, level 1 will become level 2, level 2 will become level 3, and level 3 will become level 4. Basically move everything up a level. That way, you can do it so that the user’s get demoted to level 0, and you just gotta show a different button to level 0, which doesn’t offer the trial. Am I making myself clear? Or did I make it too confusing? |

It may be something with s2Member… But I’m not sure… I’ll check with Jason and see what he has to say. Thanks for your patience. :) EDIT: All right, I reported it to him, it might be a couple of days for him to answer though. ;) – Eduan |

Hello Jeremy, I’m afraid it’s hard to know. It all depends on the player really. :/ You would need to check JWPlayer’s, or whatever player you’re using’s documentation. – Eduan |

OK, if the plugin doesn’t work correctly you can always combine s2Member PHP conditionals with a JavaScript redirect. :) – Eduan |

Hello Nick, I’m not entirely sure, but I believe yes. I don’t think s2Member provides any way of keeping track of this. Could you give me a rundown of what levels you offer and what you do to give them to the user? I might be able to offer a work-around. :) – Eduan |

Hello Ray, Well that’s certainly strange. You say this only happens when the images are protected correct? Nothing bad happens if they aren’t? Could you try these troubleshooting tips, see if they help? Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips – Eduan |

Hello Bill,
Yes, you need the pro version of s2Member in order to use pro-forms. But it’s not a subscription, it’s a one-time deal. :)
When you say PayPal hosted you mean that you generated it over at PayPal? If so you need to follow these instructions in order for those buttons to work correctly with s2Member: Knowledge Base » Using PayPal created buttons Also, we can’t be sure what the problem is if you do not provide us with the error that you got. :) – Eduan |

Hello Kevin, That sounds like that pro-form you’re trying to use is a modification form/ Those only work if the user is already registered. Make sure you’re using a regular pro-form. – Eduan |

Ah I see, well you might be interested in checking under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Alternative View Protection. See if activating some/all of these options block it. Just remember that the user would be able to see the preview post, and if he tries to continue reading he will be redirected to the membership options page. Now, that’s if you’re not able to hack your theme. If you are able, and have no problem doing that, then you can use s2Member PHP conditionals in order to show the post list or not, depending on the user’s access. You can find more info about conditionals in this article: Knowledge Base » s2Member® Conditionals Hope this helps. :) |

These last two parameters do the following (from what I understand):
Tells the membership options page from which page the user came before being blocked.
Tells the membership options page the level that the user requires to access the previous page, which is defined by the value above. These are only helpful if you use the MOP variables (Membership Options Page variables), which you can find under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Membership Options Page Variables (MOP Vars). Here’s a post by Cristián on how to remove them: – Eduan |

Not sure if that would cause the problem. I’ve had a similar problem with a client, where it would never redirect correctly in Internet Explorer. What browser are you using? Also, could you try these common troubleshooting tips: Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips – Eduan |
