Ive reduced the number of characters in the description, and Paypal still doesn’t take payment for the intiall amount (but does create the recurring profile).

As mentioned, i would need this fixed asap as people are visiting the site, and could potentially join without making payment.

Thanks

Thanks – do update me as site is now live…and can’t afford for this not to be working..

Thanks

In addition to this. How can we change the descriptin that goes to paypal when applying a coupon?

It seems like we can’t?

Perfect – followed the steps and works exactly as required :)

hi there, it is here:

http://goo.gl/CwCuF

I have an SSL installed – no errors in Chrome or FF, so not sure why?

Many thanks!

Here is a link to page where the form is displayed:

http://goo.gl/z1P1y

You can see under

Are you looking for?

Interests:

The checkboxes and labels are split…

I noticed that there is no div around the checkbox and label so it would make styling a little harder. Any way we can arrange this better through the forms css? As mentioned, even one row per checkbox field would be fine..

Many thanks!

Yes I am talking about the custom validation as I could only see US and Canada zip validation as options?

What option should I select to use international zip validation ?

Some questions:

if the 1st trial period is free (e.g. Buying via Groupon will give one year free for example) and after then there is yearly fee, then I am assuming I don’t need to follow the “using a free coupon code” as PayPal allows for free trial? Am I correct?

I am not quite sure how to add voucher code to database table just yet and to create that type of lookup. Most likely will need a developer. Is it fairly complex and costly to do?

Thanks

Thanks – but how do i sent UK zip validation?

I can only see option to have alphanumerics with minimum characters. Is there anything else I can do to tighten the validation?

Hi – strangely, I haven’t made any hack to the export…it just happened to work fine (perhaps after updating the plugin to latest version)

I am seeing the proper dates rather than the timestamp. However it is only affecting the LAST payment date. The rest are fine?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for this.

How to use last payment date to calculate next payment date? I would like to offer a discounted 6 month period (and this could change in future to 3 months), and then a yearly subscription.

Also I have managed to get the EOT fields coming in the export without a timestamp. However there is an issue with the dates. The Last payment date seems to be in this format: mm/dd/yyyy but the Auto-EOT Date seems to be dd/mm/yyyy

Can I ask you to take a look and see why this maybe?

Thanks

Hi there, coming back to Coupons…

I want to integrate with Groupon eventually.

Need a facility to enter 1 time coupon passes that will allow for a FREE initially joining, and then a yearly subscription.

e.g. without a groupon voucher, members will pay £x in the first year, and then £y each year after that (that is easy enough to do).

With a groupon voucher, members will enter their groupon code and pay nothing in the first year and £y each year after that.

What is important is a one-time use of the code.

Is something like this possible?

Thanks for this information.

Is there no way to display this in a members user area:

1) Date subscription started
2) Date of next payment

These both seem fairly fundamental in any membership site?

I’m using this:

However, it seems to return it in this format: m/d/Y.

Secondly, I’ve been doing some test subscriptions – they come through but no timestamp is added. i thought it maybe before the 1st period is a trial, but i should still think it would come through?

Any ideas?

Thats wonderful.

Can you tell me how to get this field in this format in the S2M export?

Cheers!

Thanks for this.

But how can I display EOT in a format both me and my users will understand eg dd mm yyyy?

Cheers!

Hi,

I think i’ve got what the issue is. When I tried 0.01, the fee is also 0.01 so the net amount comes to 0.00.

I found this out, as I tried 0.50 and noticed i only recieved 0.28, so looking at paypals full history (with balance) i was able to trace this.

Hopefully this information will come in useful to any one who may test with 0.01 in future.

Thanks for the suggestion :)

Hi,

I’ve disabled Better WP Security completely and it is now working…though i would certainly have preferred to have that plugin enabled also.

Anyway ran into some more issues:

1) I entered this for the form, which displays on the website as it should…

[s2Member-Pro-PayPal-Form level="1" ccaps="" desc="1 Year @ $0.01 / then $0.02 GBP / Yearly (recurring charge, for ongoing access)" ps="paypal" lc="" cc="GBP" dg="0" ns="1" custom="xxxxx.co.uk" ta="0.01" tp="1" tt="Y" ra="0.02" rp="1" rt="Y" rr="1" rrt="" rra="2" accept="paypal" accept_via_paypal="paypal" coupon="" accept_coupons="1" default_country_code="" captcha="1" /]

I completed the order to test it out, again which worked fine (member acount created), but it didn’t charge me.

Here is what paypal say:

Payment details
Payment type Amount due each cycle Total cycles Remaining cycles Cycle frequency Amount sent

Initial Payment £0.01 GBP — — — £0.00 GBP

Regular Recurring Payment
£0.02 GBP Indefinite Indefinite Yearly £0.00 GBP

Total £0.00 GBP

Can you help with this query? I generated the button via paypal pro forms, so not sure what I have done wrong..

Ok i’ve figured this much out:

The profile page was conflicting with better wp security – i’ve changed the settings, and now the validation is working as it should.

However, the registration form is not – neither the standard WordPress registration form (once user has made payment via Paypal button), nor the paypal pro form (using the code generated).

The problem is that users are able to register without filling out all the required fields. Also, found out that the user can register without entering a password.

It is imperitive that the user is not able to do this, so would appreciate some help setting this up.

Cheers!

Posted: Wednesday May 1st, 2013 at 11:38 am #48926

I’ve also noticed users don’t need to fill out the required fields in their profile, and also regular registration form (that displays once they’ve made a payment via paypal button on my site.

In the settings, these fields have been set to required: yes.

Need help with this as site is to launch on Friday!

Thanks

Thanks for this..

As the site is in development, and is currently containing senstive info, I don’t want to publicly post it here. Can I send it to you via email, or by PM?

Thanks

Thanks for the replies!

For the profile issue, yes am using the shortcode:

[s2Member-Profile /]

No matter what I change, it always says:
Profile updated successfully.

If i make the field blank, it will come up with the message, yet fill the field with the previous data (so it is not saving the new field anyway).

For the groupon issue. Here is what I assume we need to do:
1) import a coupon code batch that should give 100% discount. We can maintain the coupon codes ourselves if it is easy enough to do
2) Thanks for the link. There it mentions 2 options, and give the solution to the easier option, but mentions it is not so secure as the link can be passed around. It is also likely that a potential hacker can get access to those codes and be able to generate the URLs themselves? How would we know?

If a coupon has been used, how do we prevent it from being used again?

Cheers!

Sorry to bug again, but perhaps this will explain what I need via groupon

Just need to know if its possible or not, or if there is any custom programming needed:

1) There is a one-off joining fee, and a yearly membership fee
2) In 2013, to promote more sales there is no membership fee, just a one-off joining fee..

In 2013, if people but through groupon, they should be able to join the site without needing to go through any checkout (I have seen this is possible through some customisation)

In 2014, if people use groupon, they should be able to register on the site but will checkout, having to pay the membership fee (either full or discounted rate – haven’t decided).

I know there are several requirements outlined in the 3 messages I’ve sent but i hope that S2member can do these, either out of the box, or some basic PHP programming. And if so, I am happy to go ahead and purchase.

Thaks
