Hi Christine.

So yes, it is a problem with the theme I’m using.

I can’t go with another theme. My company has already invested a lot of time into this one.

Have you tried contacting the theme’s developer to fix this? If the theme is causing you that problem, then it’s modifying the shortcode parsing in some way, which doesn’t seem to be working properly in every situation.

If he doesn’t fix the parsing, he could at least tell you how to remove what the theme adds to it so it goes back to the default way WP parses it.

Another thing you could try, but doesn’t work all the time with this problem, is to use the TrueEdit plugin and remove all the content filters, except the do_shortcode one. I’ve had mixed success with this solution, but it’s worth a shot. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/trueedit/

I hope it helps. :)

heh, I can imagine some situations where it would be very helpful, yeah. :)

You can probably create a hack that’d do this, that’d check if it’s that particular page and in that case, not apply the restriction. I don’t have the code for it, you’d have to code it or have it done for you, but it’s possible.

Hi Ben.

Jason has been going through his pending emails and answered many the last two days, but still hasn’t gotten to the one about your problem. He should get to it soon. Thanks for your patience. :)

Hi James.

Right, a good caching plugin would help.

Now, we don’t have other users reporting this issue, so it seems particular to your site.

Could you do a test? Install a clean WP in another directory, with the default theme and no plugins other than s2Member, and test your speed with a Mac browser loading it. Do you have the same lags or not?

No problem, Mary. Good think Philly figured out what your problem was with it. :)

About the other thread, you mean this one? http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/how-to-set-up-trial-3-months-lifetime/ I already replied to it, but you maybe you didn’t get a notification.

Hi Sam.

this page was helpful http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/how-to-multilingual-registration-form/.

That works great for the registration form, but unfortunately it doesn’t work for the profile page

You mean the applicable level setting for the profile fields, is not being followed in the profile form?

Could you show screenshots of what you have in the pro-form and the profile form? Thanks!

Yeah, I imagine. :)

No problem. :)

Hi Austin.

1. Can I embed custom forms for multiple products (processing through PayPal Pro) on the same page of my site?

No. For now, you can’t have multiple pro-forms in the same page, they need their own each. You can have in a single page the links to the separate pages for the pro-forms, though.

2. Can subscription-based sign up forms pass/collect custom information/answers to product options questions? The end result should at the very least pass all order info, with selected options, to a specified email (that email MUST include the PayPal order number, in order to tie the selected options to the correct customer and order for later fulfillment). I would highly prefer that the selected options at sign up would be stored specific to that customer/member within S2 Member after signup. That would allow my client to refer to the information at any time.

Well, you could try using the custom profile fields to do this. They’d be shown in the registration forms. You can test these in the free version of s2Member. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields[/hilite]

There are two emails sents on a paid registration: One is the Signup Confirmation email, sent after successful checkout; the other is the New User email, sent on registration. You can also check these out in the free version.
[hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Signup Confirmation Email[/hilite]
[hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Email Configuration -> New User[/hilite]

3. Is it possible to give new members a personalized portal that would include information they selected at signup, current subscriptions (PayPal), options/content specific to the chosen product subscription, etc?

You can customize a page for the user’s info, using variables, which would show different values depending on the user. s2Member provides some constants you can try for this, some available via shortcodes, others only via PHP. They are in the free version, if you want to take a look. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› PHP/API Constants[/hilite]

4. Similar to number 3 above, is it possible to gave custom options/content within the personalized member portal? Those options would need to change, based on what products have been subscribed to and what options were chosen at signup.

You can use PHP in your page, if you have a PHP execution plugin installed, and do pretty custom things in your page.

You mention “what products have been subscribed to”. When you say subscriptions, you mean recurring payments, right? And you say products, as in many, not just one. In that case, I should clarify that multiple subscriptions per user are not supported yet, although it’ll be possible in the future.

5. In connection to both 3 and 4 above, would it be possible for members to purchase/subscribe for additional products at a later date and have the content/options in their personal member portal update appropriately?

You could do that with some PHP, getting info on the user to customize the page based on it.

6. Finally, my developer is creating the site on a sub domain right now (ami.susankledzik.com). I need to be able to implement Pro version of the plugin on that sub domain and then transfer the license to the actual domain upon site completion and launch (with all plugin options preserved during transfer).

The license won’t be a problem if you migrate your site to another address.

I hope that helps. :)

Hi guil z.

No, no plans for it yet. We’re working on a new gateways API that will make it easier to integrate with new ones in the future, though.

I’ll mention that gateway to Jason so he can add it to the list of requests. :)

I’m testing in sandbox. everything is working except I am not receiving any confirmation email that I am now a member.

When in Sandbox, no emails are sent. It’s much better to test with 1 cent live transactions.

i think that s2member levels independant would be great.

You can do that customizing the s2Member level roles with something like the User Role Editor. You’d need to remove the access capabilities to all the levels that aren’t the same as the role’s. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/user-role-editor/

You’ll also want to lock your roles, so they aren’t reset after each update. Knowledge Base » Locking s2Member Roles/Capabilities

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Joe.

Yes, Jason intends to keep supporting QuickCache, as far as I know. He probably isn’t aware of any problem with it, and hasn’t released any updates because of that. It’d be good if you could provide more info on the problem you’re having so I can forward it to him to look at.

Thanks. :)

Thanks. I appreciate the answers. But s2Members lost me at #1. Pay By Check is a requirement.

Well, it’s not exactly Pay By Check, but the user can use his checking account to fund his PayPal account.

Hi Aaron.

No, it’s not supported yet, but it’s in our to-do list. :)

Posted: Wednesday Aug 29th, 2012 at 8:06 am #23391

Yeah, that sounds simpler if you don’t need to manage their access to your content. :)

Hi Ty.

Hmm… Not sure, but it may be a plugin conflict. Could you test deactivating the other plugins one by one, reloading the page after each to check if the problem continues?

Hi Jason.

No, that is not available yet. I’m adding it to the feature requests list. :)

Hi Jimmy.

I’m sorry, but I’m not sure I understand your questions. Could you explain them a bit more, and give an example, if possible? Thanks! :)

Great! Let us know if you have any other questions. :)

Thanks for the kudos, Kevin! :)

Hi Mike.

I don’t see your code. Could you post it again, making sure you wrap it with HTML code tags? Thanks!

Posted: Wednesday Aug 29th, 2012 at 7:54 am #23384

Hmm… Yeah, I don’t know either why you wouldn’t be able to see the multisite options page for s2Member if you’re logged in as the network’s admin. :/

Could you make double sure that you’re actually logged in to that account and navigate to that page again?

Hi Thomas.

Could you try this one?

[hilite pre_code]
remove_action("init", "c_ws_plugin__s2member_login_redirects_r::remove_login_redirect_filters");
[/hilite]

Hi Damian.

How do I set the landing page after a paypal payment?

You can use the success attribute in your shortcode.
[hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Shortcode Attributes -> success[/hilite]
[hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Custom Return URLs Upon Success[/hilite]

Then when they submit that intake form, I want to present them with a upsell to a similar service, but an upgraded service that does a lot more.

Just remember that for the account to be upgraded, the user has to be logged in to his account when he clicks the button to pay.

I hope that helps. :)

Thanks Richard.

This was fixed today. YouTube seems to have stopped supporting the embed code we were using, so we updated it and it’s working now. :)
