You can add the code to the Login Welcome Page’s HTML editor, yes. As long as Google Website Optimizer doesn’t need to load the page, it’d be fine, cause the page is protected and GWO won’t have access, but the page can load GWO’s code.

Hi Eugen.

PayPal Micropayments aren’t supported yet.

Yes, you can sell access to specific pages. :)

Hi Aaron.

I’m very sorry you couldn’t do all you wanted with s2Member using ccBill. :/

Here’s the refund policy: s2Member® » Terms » Refund Policy

Hi Angie.

Are the shortcodes being used in pages served by WordPress or another script? They’ll only work in WordPress.

Thanks for your help, Michael! :)

Hi Tom.

s2Member connects with PayPal, which is the one that handles the payments. You can get recurring payments with the free PayPal Standard, but the customer will be required to have a PayPal account. The paid PayPal services allow you to get recurring payments from customers without requiring them to have a PayPal account. http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=2634

I hope that helps!

Hi Danny.

s2Member coupon codes don’t allow that yet, and the version we’re working on that’d make it possible, won’t be ready before your conference.

What I suggest is that you create a new PayPal button that’d give the 1W trial for those that were at the conference and put it in a separate page that you’ll give them the URL to. Then only those with that URL will purchase from it.

I hope that helps! :)

Hi Art.

You can do content dripping following the instructions here: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Content Dripping[/hilite].

What do you mean by “course module”?

Posted: Friday Mar 2nd, 2012 at 4:55 am #7028

Hi Dominik.

Do you mean adding some tracking code to a specific page? You could just add it in your HTML editor, where you edit the page.

Or am I misunderstanding the question?

Hi Ryan.

I don’t know why it could be happening. Would like to see your logs.

Could you post the log entries related to the users that had that problem? x’ing out any private info, please. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite]

Thanks!

Hi S.

You can let everyone register in WordPress and then just manually upgrade wholesalers to have a higher level than regular users, and protect the pages for them at that higher level. Lower level users won’t have enough access to view them.

s2Member can control access to pages served by WordPress, so if the cart you’re using works inside WP, s2Member could be used to restrict access to it using the URI restriction. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› URI Access Restrictions[/hilite]

I suggest you install the free version and play with it a bit, it has all you need to do that.

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Jason.

You could create a page with a free registration pro-form, and point invitees there. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Free Registration Forms[/hilite]

Would that work for you?

Posted: Friday Mar 2nd, 2012 at 4:37 am #7024

Sure. You’d put your contact form in a page protected with the access you’re selling him, so free users or visitors can’t view/use it. You can do this with the free version of s2Member.

Hi Eros. :)

Sorry, s2Member doesn’t give that functionality, you can specify the number of blogs the user can create depending on the level you sold him, but it won’t manage the themes you sell him.

Not sure if this thread would help: http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1414

We’re not offering professional installations for now, but you can find freelancers in sites like elance.com, odesk.com or jobs.wordpress.net.

I hope that helps.

Are you using the same code you posted earlier?

[hilite pre_code][[s2If current_user_can(access_s2member_ccap_v1)]

[/s2If]][/hilite]

Did you change anything else or just updated s2Member?

Posted: Friday Mar 2nd, 2012 at 3:45 am #7019

Thanks for the kudos and your support! :)

I’m not completely sure I understand what the problem you’re having is. Could you post a screenshot of how the column for that field looks for you in the list?

And a screenshot of your custom field definition? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields[/hilite]

Thanks!

Luis, could you explain some more what you’re suggesting to copy from FlowShield to make the s2Member URLs more secure? I went to the page and got the URL to the video file (don’t worry, I x’ed out the bucket), FlowShield didn’t really hide it if you know where to look.

http://content.xxxxxxxxxxxxx.s3.amazonaws.com/1min/2011/nutritious/food/processed_foods.mp4?AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAJ5M5TJKEPWTFWZJQ&Expires=1330675211&Signature=FBrBsDmjhRYnYYq%2BCDrUoU%2FwYso%3D

Also, I’d like to point out that RTMP is harder to get, but not impossible. There are several stream downloaders out there. And, no matter what protection one applies, the file ist still being downloaded by the browser, so after the browser finishes getting it you have a full copy of it in the cache, which you can find with cache viewers.

It’s not bad to protect the files as much as possible, but I just want to keep it real that it’s really very hard to completely prevent their download and to keep a copy of the file. So more protection will reduce the number of people that’ll be able to get it, and that should be good enough, in my opinion.

That said, I did find once a site that got it quite right and was a true pain to backup a video I had paid for. I’m just guessing how they did it, but seems to be close: they were serving segments of the file at a time, each with their own expiration, etc. This made it very hard cause then you had to get each segment. The playback was smooth, though, not sure if they used a playlist in the player, or what player it was, seemed custom. Not impossible to get, I guess, but was a real pain so it was a deterrent. Food for thought…

Did you double check that your setting for that is set to “no”? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Member Profile Modifications[/hilite]

If it’s set to “yes” change it to “no”, click the Save All button at the bottom and then check that the setting got saved properly.

If it’s set to “no” but users are still taken away from the profile page when they try it, test deactivating s2Member for a sec and see if the problem goes away, please. Make sure you have Deactivation Safeguards set to “yes” first. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Deactivation Safeguards[/hilite]

I hope that helps.

Got ya.

You’re using the Sign Up tracking, right? Did you try the [hilite mono]%%regular%%[/hilite] one?

Hi Peter.

Are you giving a free trial? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Tracking -› Signup Tracking Codes[/hilite]

# %%initial%% = The Initial Fee charged during signup. If you offered a 100% Free Trial Period, this will be 0.

As long as the user is logged in to his account when he starts the modification, his account will be modified and no new account will be required.

If the user is not logged in, then s2Member will relate that purchase to a new user account to be created. So you’d show the modification button in a page protected at, at least, Level 0, which would mean the person is logged in.

Here’s a video on modification buttons:

Well, I don’t really know. I know the form validation is done with JavaScript, so you modifying the form would be affecting that.

Posted: Wednesday Feb 29th, 2012 at 4:12 pm #6801

I did. :)

Of course I’ll need to tweak them to fit my specific theme, but if I could start with one of the styles that are represented in the Pro screenshots here: http://www.s2member.com/pro/#!s2_tab_jump=s2-pro-screenshots it would save me a lot of time.

I understand. But those screenshots are just the default pro-form with different themes, not extra styling. You can style the pro-form, though, just open the page with the pro-form in it and using Firebug, spot the IDs or classes you’d need to style to get it to look more like you want it. http://getfirebug.com
