Support for products by s2Member® is provided for paying customers only. Our community forum can help sometimes though. There are many folks who help out in the community forum from time-to-time. See also: s2Member® » Support Policy |

This error often occurs when/if you do a test purchase while still logged into the site as a WP Administrator. The on-site error does not mention this, but if you look at the s2Member® log files in the Dashboard, you will see something like this.

s2Member® is designed to support front-end permissions (e.g. for Members). However, there are ways to integrate what you’d like to do. For some ideas, please see: Knowledge Base » s2Member® Roles/Capabilities See also: Knowledge Base » Changing Roles/Capabilities via PHP |

@Julkie
Please change the status of that to “Published” and then reproduce this issue on your test installation so that Jason can log into your test site and see himself. Once you’ve done that, please reply back and I’ll notify Jason for you.

Thanks for reporting this important issue.I’m not aware of any issue in s2Member® that would allow this to happen. s2Member® does not deal with administrative permissions at all in it’s integration with WordPress®. You can learn more about s2Member’s integration with WP Roles/Capabilities here. See: Knowledge Base » s2Member® Roles/Capabilities If problems persist, please list all of the other plugins you’re running in concert with s2Member® and we’ll see if we can offer you some insight and point out any potential problems that we see on the surface. |

Very sorry to hear that. Thanks for reporting this important issue.Please list all of the other plugins you’re running together with s2Member® for us. s2Member® will never (under any circumstance) block an administrative user from the Dashboard. This is hard-coded into the software so it will not happen, regardless of configuration. For this to happen, it would indicate to me there is a larger issue, and possibly another plugin in conflict with s2Member® in some way. Seeing a list of all active plugins on your installation may allow us to assist you further. In particular, I would look closely at any plugin which modifies the way WordPress® deals with Transient data. See: http://codex.wordpress.org/Transients_API Plugins that do object caching are known to cause problems with this, and we commonly recommend that s2Member® not be run together with plugins configured to do object caching. Page caching is fine, but caching objects (depending on your configuration) is known to cause problems; particularly with Transient data; and this is how IP Restrictions are monitored (via the WordPress® Transient API).
We’ll need to see log files before we can assist with this. If you need assistance with this, please submit your log files (or a Dashboard login) privately. |

Thanks for reporting this important issue.Yes, that’s definitely an oversight. Does not cause any harm, but those should be removed. I’m notifying the lead developer about this so they can be removed in the next maintenance release. |

@Andrea CilentoDetails received. Thank you!Please enable logging so that we’ll have something to inspect for you when/if this occurs again in the future. This is what our techs found in your Dashboard. See attached screenshot for reference. See: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Log Files (Debug) -› s2Member® Log Viewer

I’m sorry. No, that’s not possible with s2Member® or with s2Member® Pro by default.
What does BC stand for please? |

It sounds like you’ve done most everything that’s required. The only other thing I would warn you about, is related to PayPal IPNs. Often times, it is not possible for s2Member® to receive and verify IPNs coming in from what was formerly connected to WishList Member. This is a PayPal limitation. Depending on your previous configuration of WishList and how your IPNs were communicating with WishList, you may receive “unable to verify HTTP host” in your s2Member® IPN log file for those old members when/if they cancel or payments start failing. If you find this is the case, it can help to setup a manual EOT Time in the Dashboard for each of your old members who need to be expired on a specific date in the future. You will find the EOT Time field for each User by clicking [EDIT] next to a user in your list of users (e.g. from the Dashboard).

Is “Email2” another plugin? I’m not familiar with this being a part of the s2Member® software. Can you post a screenshot or two that shows how this is related to s2Member® for me? Thanks! |

No video yet, but we do have a lot of documentation built into the s2Member® dashboard panels when BuddyPress is detected as an active plugin running together w/ s2Member®. For now, I can supplement this with help here in the forums. Can you please clarify something first? You DO want folks going to /register/ correct? |

@Andrea CilentoThe first step in resolving issues like this, is to inspect your ccBill log files on the s2Member® side of things. Please submit a dashboard login privately and we’ll take a look for you. Please use: s2Member® » Private Contact Form @Kevin Alvarez Please do the same. We’ll take a look at your log files also. I believe you’re referring to this validation option in the Dashboard, correct?
If so, s2Member® will already accept either format :-) As long as the year comes last. So you can label the field however you prefer; mm/dd/yyyy or dd/mm/yyyy (either will work fine with s2Member®). In a future release we will support HTML5 date pickers, but there is no official release date yet. |
