Hi Brett, I will forward your question along to the lead developer, but I know he’s quite busy working on the next major release of the plugin. |

Hi Skip, There are no known issues that we’re aware of. Searching through the WordPress users is definitely a database-heavy operation, so the bottleneck could be your database. |

Hi John, What happens will depend on what button/form was used to create the account. If a user signs up using a Pro-Form that’s configured to offer 24 hours of access, then after 24 hours the user’s account will be deleted. If the user signs up using a Pro-Form that was created to offer a recurring monthly subscription, then the users account will only be deleted if s2Member receives an EOT notification from PayPal (which can occur for things like several failed payments, user-canceled subscription, etc.). If s2Member doesn’t receive an EOT notification from PayPal, the users account will not be deleted. The user will simply be rebilled each month for the subscription and will continue to have access. |

Hello, Please keep in mind that the user must be logged in when you sell them Level 2 access, otherwise they would just be creating a second s2Member account, not upgrading their existing one. Regarding the thank you pages: You can use the success= attribute on your shortcodes to specify where the user will end up after a successful payment (see Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Shortcode Attributes (Explained)). If you want to dynamically control that URL, you can simply insert whatever PHP code is necessary into the shortcode to specify a unique thank you page URL for the success= attribute. (You’ll need to be running a plugin like Exec-PHP.) |

Hi Michael, You cannot “reactivate” the canceled PayPal subscription, but you can reactivate their s2Member subscription by offering an upgrade form (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Billing Modification Forms). They would simply pay the required amount (which would recreate their PayPal subscription) and their account will then be returned to the level you selected for that upgrade form. |

Hi Michael, Have you followed the troubleshooting steps in Knowledge Base » Troubleshooting Email Delivery Problems? Regarding your questions about redirects not working: Please enable logging (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging), conduct another test, and then copy/paste the related log entries for that transaction for us to look at (please X-out any private details like email addresses). |

Hi Ryan, If MagicMember has an export to CSV option, you’d need to export the data, reformat it using s2Member’s import format, and then import those customers into s2Member. Please see the following KB articles for more information: Knowledge Base » Importing existing subscriptions |

Hello, I’ve tested this and logging in works fine on the iPhone. It sounds like another plugin could be causing the problem, or perhaps even your theme if it’s set up to load a special mobile version. |

Hello, Please see my responses below:
You would need to dig into the code and modify its behavior. As per our support policy (please see s2Member® » Support Policy » Outside Scope), we do not support custom programming or modifications to the code.
Please see Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Advanced Download Restrictions. Using a download key, you can generate a link that expires within 24 hours. Then, you can sell a page using Specific Post/Pages (see Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Specific Post/Page (Buy Now) Buttons) that has an expiration of, let’s say 30 days. On that page, you’d place the code to generate the download link. After 30 days, the user would lose access to that page and any URL they copied would expire after 24 hours (since they lose access to the page, they wouldn’t be able to generate a new download link).
Currently s2Member does not display purchase history. If this is something you require, you’d need to create your own solution. You may want to see this thread for ideas of how other customers have done this. |

When referring to hiding the URL of the video, you are correct, it has nothing to do with s2Member. If you’re referring to protecting access to the video file, then yes, s2Member would be responsible for doing that. |

Hi Frank, Is the account they’re using to login to their site the same account that was created as part of signing up through s2Member? If so, then the problem is that s2Member’s levels do not have the capabilities to add posts/pages. As I explained earlier, all the s2Member Levels use the Subscriber role capabilities, which does not allow adding post/pages. |

Hello, We currently use the WordPress authentication system, so your best bet will be to search for plugins that modify the WordPress authentication system to work in a way that suits you. However, those plugins may or may not work with s2Member — you’ll have to experiment. To the best of my knowledge, the feature you described is not currently in development, however it may be something we consider in the future. |

Hello, Hiding the URL of the video has to do with how the video is played. s2Member doesn’t play videos — you need another plugin to do that. We recommend the JW Player plugin for playing videos, so the example in that KB article explains how to make sure the video URL remains hidden using JW Player. |

Hi Jaun, Yes, all of that is possible. If you want to set up a page that allows the customer to select his options and then go to another page to checkout and pay, you can use Dynamic Shortcode Attributes to dynamically configure the shortcode on the payment page. You’ll need to write some code the calculates all the options and pricing based on what the customer selected and then display the s2Member Pro-Form with those options. You can read more about Dynamic Shortcode Attributes here. |

Hello, Please see my replies below:
s2Member uses the WordPress login and authentication system, so Login, Register, and Lost Password are all taken care of through WordPress. (With s2Member Pro, you can use the Pro-Forms feature to create your own registration forms instead of using the WordPress signup page.) s2Member allows you to create custom registration/profile fields (see Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields) and has a profile editor, however there is not currently a feature for uploading files.
Yes, s2Member Pro comes with the Pro-Forms feature which allows you to create your own registration forms. Custom Registration/Profile Fields can be created to show on these forms.
Yes, s2Member Pro includes an import/export feature.
Yes, s2Member Framework is free and creates the base for s2Member Pro. All features in s2Member Framework are included in s2Member Pro and we recommend downloading and installing the Framework first to see if s2Member fits your needs.
No, we do not provide custom integration services. If you need to hire a programmer to assist with setting up s2Member, we recommend searching jobs.wordpress.net. |

Adam, You should be able to find the specific log for the transaction that matches the transaction ID for the one you had a problem with. Please copy/paste the entire block of log entries for that transaction from each of the log files and share those here with us (you should X-out any private information such as email addresses). |

Scott, Is your Gravity Forms integration creating WordPress accounts when the user fills them out and submits them? If so, that would explain why it’s saying the username has already been used. |

Hi Rick, You can create your own Custom Fields in place of those default WordPress fields (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields), but they won’t automatically mirror over to those default WordPress fields. Since the s2Member Profile Editor doesn’t include those WordPress fields, you probably don’t want to use them anyway if you’re creating them again with s2Member. |

Hi Frank, The s2Member roles are all based on the WordPress Subscriber role, so you are correct that assigning them an s2Member role would revoke them of admin privileges. s2Member is not designed to support restricting access to users with Admin access. While s2Member is compatible with WordPress Multisite Networking, the sites within a WordPress network are separate and not interconnected. That means you cannot share users, logins, or other data across the sites (including access control). Please see the following from WordPress.org:
The s2Member Multisite feature allows you to offer the s2Member plugin to sub-sites, giving your sub-sites the ability to setup and use s2Member on their own. When you upgrade s2Member on the primary site, the s2Member plugin is automatically updated for all your sub-sites. However, things like access restrictions on one WP installation are not shared across WP installations (again, the WordPress Multisite feature itself isn’t designed to work like that). There are plugins that allow you to get around these WordPress Multisite limitations, however they may or may not work with s2Member. There are also plugins that allow you to manually edit the capabilities of various WordPress Roles, including the s2Member roles. You could potentially edit the s2Member roles to provide certain admin rights, but none of that would be supported by s2Member. |

Hello, s2Member works on and from the domain where the plugin is loaded. If you have a blog farm with multiple sites, s2Member would run independently on each of the domains. If a user purchases something through s2Member running on child.domain.com, then the user would be registered and authenticated only on child.domain.com, not on domain.com. Here is some more information about how s2Member works with Multisite: While s2Member is compatible with WordPress Multisite Networking, the sites within a WordPress network are separate and not interconnected. That means you cannot share users, logins, or other data across the sites (including access control). Please see the following from WordPress.org:
