Hi Kim, When you create your PayPal buttons, you can go into the Advanced Variables section and add notify_url= variable to define which URL the button should notify. Please see this thread for more information: http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=309#p1333 |

Hi Angela, s2Member does not have an avatar feature, however WordPress uses Gravatar for profile images. |

An Account Balance feature would require integration with the payment gateway, so such a customization would likely require more than a hack. The simplest approach would be to create an extra custom field and simply store the balance amount there. You’d have to manually update it whenever someone wants to add to their balance, but as I said, integrating this with a payment gateway would be an entire feature unto itself, not a simple hack. |

Hi Angela, The s2Member Level roles use the WordPress ‘Subscriber’ role for their capabilities. As a result, s2Member has not been designed to allow users to edit or post content (e.g., Author role). If you’d like to modify the default capabilities of an s2Member role, you can do so with a WordPress Role Editor plugin, but this is not supported by s2Member. You’ll also need to keep several security precautions in mind if you decide to do this. Please see this thread for more information. Regarding your second question, I believe the Signup Notifications should work for this (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Notifications -› Signup Notifications), but I’ll have to double-check with Jason. |

Hi Donald, We are working on improving custom fields in the next major release of the plugin. We recommend posting custom jobs on jobs.wordpress.net. |

Hi Colten, Could you please share the button code you’re using? Are you using the HTML code version of the button instead of the shortcode version? If so, can you please confirm that you’re using a PHP plugin such as Exec-PHP? |

Hi Viruthagiri, While s2Member is compatible with WordPress Multisite Networking, the sites within a WordPress network are separate and not interconnected. That means you cannot share users, logins, or other data across the sites (including access control). Please see the following from WordPress.org:
The s2Member Multisite feature allows you to offer the s2Member plugin to sub-sites, giving your sub-sites the ability to setup and use s2Member on their own. When you upgrade s2Member on the primary site, the s2Member plugin is automatically updated for all your sub-sites. However, things like access restrictions on one WP installation are not shared across WP installations (again, the WordPress Multisite feature itself isn’t designed to work like that). There are plugins that allow you to get around these WordPress Multisite limitations (such as the multisite user management plugin you’re using), however they may or may not work with s2Member. Without extensive modifications, s2Member will not protect access on sub-sites from the primary domain. |

Hi Lloyd, You’ll want to take a look at these two links: As per our support policy (please see s2Member® » Support Policy » Outside Scope) we cannot help with customizations or design questions related to your theme. |

Hi Kath, When a visitor attempts to access a page he or she doesn’t have access to, s2Member sends them to the Membership Options page so that they have an opportunity to purchase access. You might want to put a note somewhere at the top of the Membership Options page that says something like, “Already a member? Login here.” with a link to the login page. |

Hello Kath, It looks like you’ve set up a restriction in Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› URI Access Restrictions that is causing this problem. Please double-check your restriction options and make sure that you haven’t protected any URLs that would cause the /blog-2/ URL to be restricted. |

Hello, This error message indicates you’ve configured the Cron Job improperly:
That says that the system is trying to run the URL as a shell script using /bin/sh. What you need to do is configure the Cron Job to use something like the wget program to access the URL:

Hi Marion, If you’re referring to a PayPal recurring subscription (which by design “auto renews” at the subscription interval), you’ll need to cancel the subscription to prevent it from auto renewing. You can cancel this from your PayPal or using an s2Member cancellation form: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Billing Cancellation Forms. |

Hi Dan, It’s not currently possible to have two recurring subscriptions on one s2Member account. We’re working towards improving this in the next major release of s2Member. In the interim, for new members you could dynamically configure the payment shortcode with a total recurring price that reflects the number of siblings + membership (see this thread). You’d need to add a step before displaying the shortcode that asks the new member how many siblings they want to add to the membership and then on the second page you’d use some PHP to calculate the total cost and then display the checkout form with that total calculated price. For existing members that want to add siblings, your only options are to have them create a second s2Member account or use non-recurring payments (e.g., have them make a one-time, non-recurring payment using something like the Capability Buy Now forms: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Capability (Buy Now) Forms). |

It sounds like what you need is to show those extra Custom Registration fields when upgrading a free user to a paid Level. However, unfortunately custom registration fields are not displayed for logged in users. (Please see this thread from the lead developer on this issue.) The only solution I can think of is to include those extra custom fields for Level 1+ and then point users to a page where they can edit their profile and fill in those extra fields (see Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Member Profile Modifications). With a little custom coding, you could even check to see if those extra fields have been filled out for all logged in users who belong to a non-free level, and then automatically redirect the user to the profile page, not allowing them to proceed until they’ve filled in the fields. Custom coding like that would be outside the scope of our support policy (please see s2Member® » Support Policy » Outside Scope), but it wouldn’t be too difficult for a programmer familiar with WordPress to make such a customization. |

Hi Gaper, Yes, this will work with Authorize.net as well. :) With s2Member Pro, after activating the Authorize.net Gateway (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Other Gateways), you’ll find the Authorize.net Pro-Forms in Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Authorize.Net® Pro Forms. |

Hi Deyson, Download restrictions that control the number of downloads allowed are determined by the membership level (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Basic Download Restrictions). In the scenario you described, I would recommend offering three different memberships and configuring each one with the necessary download restrictions. If a member needs to be “upgraded” to a different membership level to obtain more downloads, you can present them with an upgrade form that allows them to pay for the upgrade: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Billing Modification Forms. Otherwise, to upgrade them manually, you’d simply edit their account and change their Role to the correct level. |

Hi Reeny, You can certainly place the Pro-Form shortcode on any WordPress post/page, but if you want it customized to look like the small form on the page you linked to, then yes you’ll need to customize the CSS and/or template files for the Pro-Form by following the information in the last two links that I provided in my previous post. |

Hello Maryke, When you create the custom registration field (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields), you can set the Allow Profile Edits option to No ( uneditable & totally invisible, both during & after registration ). That should hide it from both the registration form and the profile editor on the frontend, however you as an Admin will still have access to it. |

Glad to help however I can! :) Could you explain the process then for a new user registering? Would it look like this: User clicks on register link -> sees a page with four basic fields -> presses submit -> sees another form with the rest of the fields -> presses submit again -> goes to PayPal to checkout? |
