Could you link to the pro-form that isn’t calculating the taxes so we can take a look? Also, maybe there’s a JS problem with the pro-form, introduced by another plugin or the theme. Could you tests these? Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips |

Thanks Mark. Yes, please send me the login for the dashboard and FTP. s2Member® » Private Contact Form Did you do the troubleshooting tests Bruce pointed you to? Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips. You confirmed using the server check tool, but I realize now that you dikn’t mention the other tests. If you haven’t, could you please do them? Thanks! |

Thanks, got the email. It’s the “region” dropdown, right? I see what may be causing the problem. In the setting where you enter the values:
You entered all the options with the same value:

No problem, I perfectly understand that.
Thanks for the shortcode. Right, it doesn’t give a trial term. Yes, that’s how you enable PayPal Express checkout as the only way to pay, instead of on-site. There isn’t image attachment here, you’d upload it to your site and post here the link to it.
Thanks.
If the person is logged out, the pro-form will still be shown to the person, unless you protected it with a conditional or in a page that requires the person to login. At the very least, you should ask the person to login first if he already has an account and then come back to the pro-form.
Right, the .htaccess file has a rule that prevents people from browsing that folder, but you can access it via FTP. If there are no log files, then it’s because nothing to log happened since you enabled logging, which you just did. Run a test transaction to reproduce the problem and you’ll find the log files in the s2member-logs folder.
No problem! :) |

Thank you for explaining how you tested, it was correct. Yes, it’s very interesting. The symptoms are those of a JS conflict, but seems to be specific to that page. Do you have anything that could be affecting the JS in that page specifically instead of site-wide? |

But in this case the restriction is protecting the admin area from a possible attack from someone trying to gain access to your admin account. After the default period (30 minutes) the restriction will be lifted and you’ll be able to login again. :) |

Hi Derrick. Yeah, JS issues are caused by conflicts introduced by other plugins or the theme you’re using. Please follow this article for suggestions to test these: Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips |

Yeah, I know what you mean, but that can happen sometimes. I know that error doesn’t happen in a clean installation of WordPress with s2Member, so something else is adding it. Could you test for a theme/plugin conflict and let me know how it goes? Thanks. :) |

I’d send them to one page and just change the content based on the PHP conditional. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Advanced PHP Conditionals[/hilite] You can use the constant for the subscriber ID. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› PHP/API Constants -> S2MEMBER_CURRENT_USER_SUBSCR_OR_WP_ID[/hilite] Keep in mind that the constant will be the WP’s user ID if there isn’t a subscr. ID, so you should check if it’s an integer or not. |

Hi Chris. I haven’t udpated yet, so I haven’t seen this happen yet, but what I’d try is saving the permalink setting again. With permalink problems in the past, I’ve seen that do the trick a lot of the times. [hilite path]WP Admin -> Settings -> Permalinks[/hilite] Did you have a problem specific to something related to s2Member? If you get 404s with the Membership Options page, for example, and re-saving the permalinks doesn’t fix it, I’d then try re-selecting that page and saving the s2Member General Options again. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Membership Options Page[/hilite] I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Glen. Thanks for the screenshot, that helped. You see the first option to enable the auto-EOT system? It’s blank, when it should be set to wp-cron or another option. So, basically, it’s not enabled. Try enabling and saving it, if it doesn’t stick, then there may be something in your installation causing this problem. Please try the suggestions in this article: Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips I hope that helps. :) |

Yeah, PayPal should be doing that check, in my opinion, but in all honesty, they don’t do everything they should be doing or they way it should be done in my opinion. I understand there’s a trial, but the card will be charged eventually, they should check that right then so a new card can be asked for if the first one is not good, not let the guy have the trial to then find out he shouldn’t get access. It’s similar with card expirations, they don’t warn the customer when the card on file expired, they wait until the next payment fails and they tell s2Member the payment didn’t happen, but they don’t tell the user to update the card on file with a new one. I think you should ask PayPal if there’s something you can do, other than the 1 cent charge for the initial term, which is what I’d have done, but maybe they have another tip for that situation. |

Manon, did you make sure it didn’t go to the Spam folder? Are you using the Sandbox? If so, emails aren’t sent, only with live transactions the emails get sent. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -> Sandbox[/hilite] Could you please try the suggestions in this article? Sorry Greg, I wasn’t aware that you had sent it, it must have been one of those days when a ton of emails come into my inbox and your must have gotten pushed to 2nd or 3rd page and I missed it. And with no new reply to the thread here, it didn’t come to my attention when taking care of the forums either. I’m sorry. I looked for your email and found it. The dashboard login didn’t work, but I could login to the control panel’s file manager. In the public_html folder I found the wp-content folder, so I went in there and then the plugins one. Found the s2Member folder and the s2Member Pro has its name wrong, which would cause it to not become active in WP. It says “s2 member_pro” when it should be “s2member-pro”. Please fix the name and see if it becomes active in your dashboard. Also in the public_html directory I also noticed a folder named mind2driveacademy, so I checked it out in case you were using that for the membership, although I had found s2Member already. In the academy folder I also found s2Member, but just the framework, the s2Member Pro folder wasn’t even there. Please upload the folder, named as it’s in the distribution zip (i.e. s2member-pro) and see if you now see it active in the dashboard. I hope that helps. :) |

That’s weird. Could you please post here from all the log files, the entries related to a transaction or more, with this problem? x’ing out any private info, please. Thanks! |

Thanks Mark. I did the test purchase and could login. I don’t know what level I have, and didn’t see the logs either, since I don’t have dashboard or FTP access. Could you tell me what level my account “clavaque” is and post here from all the logs the entries for this transaction? (x’ing out any private info, please.) |
