Hi Mark. Could you please show a screenshot of your tax settings panel? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Tax Rate Calculations[/hilite] And a link to the pro-form where this is happening to try it? Thanks! |

You can do something like that using custom capabilities. Please watch this video: Video » s2Member (Custom Capabilities) I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Wayne. No, that’s not possible in s2Member Pro either. s2Member doesn’t password protect the content, it protects it based on the user account’s access level. Creating an account does require a username and password, but also an email address. The step where he has to enter the user/pass to view content, would pretty much be the same as logging in if he registered. It is possible to sell access without requiring registration if you using the Specific Post/Page restriction, but that doesn’t do categories. You can protect posts and groups and bundle them, but a bundle you sold wouldn’t be updated in the future with new posts you create. I hope that answers the question. Let us know if you have any others. :) |

The pro-forms require JavaScript to work correctly, that’s why you are seeing this happen when JS is disabled. Yeah, it’s not ideal and we’ll improve it in the next generation of s2Member. Changing it in the current one would require big changes in the code, risking introducing new problems and bug fixing. All big coding is rather dedicated to getting the next generation ready for release instead. |

Well, if the user paid you and you want to tie that subscription to the account he already had, you can edit his profile, add “paypal” as the payment gateway and enter his subscr. ID in the field for it. Leave the EOT field empty, it’ll be populated by s2Member when PayPal notifies it about the subscription’s end.
I see in the PayPal email you took the screenshot of, that it says Dec 2013… weird. Did you do the test purchase with logging enabled so we get log entries to review? Please post those here x’ing out any private info. Thanks! |

Hi Amanda. So what you call tiers, are the s2Member levels, is that correct? There’s a setting to control the navigation menus based on the level access the user has. Please play with it a bit and let me know if it does what you’re asking: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Alternative View Protection -> Nav Menus[/hilite] I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Marko. If you’re using W3TC, make sure you have object and database caching disabled, since they are known to cause trouble. Other things to try… Here’s an article with a few: Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips Let us know how it goes! I hope you find what’s causing it. |

Thanks for the update! I’m very glad you could solve it and that I could help you. :)
Yes, we have a partial list of plugin conflicts here: http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=6309 The troubleshooting tips article gives a very good approach to find the most common sources of problem. Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips And there are the forums to search for the problem you may be experiencing, to see if others had already mentioned it. That’s why we do our support publicly, to leave a record that will help others in the future. Let us know if you have more questions! |

Brian, are the other replacement codes working, giving the values for those variables? What tracking code are you using, the Signup one? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Tracking -› Signup Tracking Codes[/hilite] There’s a code that can be used to log the notifications API, and could be modified a bit to log the tracking API.
To use it in the tracking boxes, instead of just the URL, try putting it in an image tag: [hilite pre_code][/hilite] I hope that helps. |

William, are some getting added or no one is? Could you check if they confirmed the subscription? They don’t show up in the list before confirming. |

Hi Achilles.
You can create a page in WP to be the “my account” page or something like that, and display the modify and cancel buttons there, as well as other things. The EOT time is not available to s2Member, because the membership keeps going until cancelled. It’s when PayPal ends the subscription for whatever reason, that it informs s2Member about it and s2Member sets the EOT time in the user’s account. For this reason, s2Member can’t say when the EOT will happen. About renewal dates, you could calculate those based on the time the user paid for that access level and what the recurring period is. You can use this to get the paid registration time: [hilite pre_code]$time = s2member_paid_registration_time (); // ... first "paid" registration and/or upgrade time. [/hilite] These are the same in the free or paid versions of s2Member. I hope that helps. :) |

The “more” tag is what to you add to mark where the post excerpt ends in the archives/home. You just add [hilite code][/hilite] to your post. What trouble are you having? |

Hi Andrew. That’s odd, first time I hear about this problem happening. What is your setting for [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields[/hilite]? That’s probably the only access s2Member affects in the admin area. |

Hi Peter. Yes, you can remove the s2Member folders and upload them again without losing the s2Member data if you have the Deactivation Safeguards enabled. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Deactivation Safeguards[/hilite] |

Ah, glad you found the cause. Thanks for the update.
I’d guess so, since other site owners using s2member_force_ssl don’t have this problem. :) |

Hmm… Is the user logged into his account when he loads the page with the PayPal button? And does he already have a subscription? I see you’re using do_shortcode in a PHP block, why? Do you also have this problem if you just use the shortcode in a post/page normally? |
