Hi Nick.

It sounds like a JS conflict causing it. If you change the theme to the default one for a moment, refresh the s2Member options page and see if they go back to normal. If so, you need to find what in the theme may be causing the conflict.

Ah, I see. Isn’t that the page you selected as the Login Welcome? s2Member will protect that page at Level 0 automatically so the person has to be logged in to view it. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Login Welcome Page[/hilite]

I see. It looks like a CSS problem if the sidebar got sent all the way to the bottom. I’d ask the theme developer about it.

You can export again starting from 251.

The 250 limit is there to avoid timeouts and memory problems. Still, if you want to modify this, edit s2member-pro\includes\classes\exports-in.inc.php and look for the line:

[hilite pre_code]
if (is_array ($_users = $wpdb->get_results ("SELECT `" . $wpdb->users . "`.`ID` FROM `" . $wpdb->users . "`, `" . $wpdb->usermeta . "` WHERE `" . $wpdb->users . "`.`ID` = `" . $wpdb->usermeta . "`.`user_id` AND `" . $wpdb->usermeta . "`.`meta_key` = '" . esc_sql ($wpdb->prefix . "capabilities") . "' LIMIT " . $sql_s . ", 250")))
[/hilite]

Change the [hilite mono]250[/hilite] at the end to what you want.

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Dean.

That’d indicate a problem with the integration between s2Member and ClickBank. If something goes wrong there, it’s very unlikely it’ll get to the point of sending the signup confirmation email.

Could you enable logging and run a new test transaction and post the log entries (x’ing out any private info)? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› ClickBank® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite]

Also, double check that you configured the integration correctly. For example, for the IPN, make sure in ClickBank you set it to version 2.1. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› ClickBank® Options[/hilite]

Sure, the same contact form has a field for file attachments. Add the zip file there when you send the email.

It looks like your code didn’t come out right in your posts. You need to put the code inside HTML [hilite mono]<[/hilite][hilite mono]code>[/hilite] tags. Please post it again so I see what you are actually using.

s2Member Pro has a redirection based on logins which you can use to show that special page on first login: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› One-Time Offers (Upon Login)[/hilite]

s2Member Pro is not integrated with PayPal Advanced yet. With s2Member you can use PayPal Standard and s2Member Pro adds integration for Express Checkout and PayPal Pro.

Okay. Let us know if you have other questions. :)

Hi Chris.

Yes, you can do that with the s2Member Pro forms. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms[/hilite]

They integrate with Express Checkout, which is similar to PayPal Standard and also free. Pre Sale FAQs » To use s2Member® Pro Forms, will I have to use PayPal® Pro?

I hope that helps. :)

The export tool doesn’t do that yet, you’d have to code your own script for that format.

You’d need to make a list of all the custom fields for the columns, query a list of al lthe users and then query the custom fields for each. Some will have none, others all, others only some, and you’d populate the spreadsheet with them.

I hope that helps. :)

You can sell independent custom capabilities even to Level 0 users. [hilite path]WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Buttons -> Capability Buttons[/hilite]

With s2Member, you can sell one or more Custom Capabilities using Buy Now functionality, to “existing” Users/Members, regardless of which Membership Level they have on your site ( i.e. you could even sell Independent Custom Capabilities to Users at Membership Level #0, normally referred to as Free Subscribers, if you like ).

Hi Jeff.

You could look at your Alt. View setting for Nav Menus, although you seem to be missing more than just navigation menus, and all that removed doesn’t seem to be protected content necessarily. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Alternative View Protection[/hilite]

You probably set a different template in your theme for that blog, a template that doesn’t have sidebars. Did you look into that?

If you generate the logout link with http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_logout_url, it’s possible to set a redirect there.

There may be plugins that make it possible to set the logout redirection after logout from the Dashboard. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=logout+redirect

Hi Christine.

Are both installations identical except for the SSL? Are there any differences in plugins, the theme, or their versions? There may be a conflict there affecting the pro-form’s JavaScript. Please read this article for tips on how to asses that. Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips

Another thing that could affect the JavaScript is if you’re using an index other than WordPress’ default index.php one.

What do you have this set to? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Member Profile Modifications[/hilite]

Are you using BuddyPress? That alters how user profiles are shown.

Posted: Monday Nov 19th, 2012 at 8:47 am #31974

Well, trials are tricky in that regard, since people can just register over and over again with different email accounts until they get bored.

You could implement a tracking using browser/flash cookies, but those can still be deleted by the user and you wouldn’t be able to tell if it’s their first try.

If you only show the offer to those logged in, then you could track its user in their account adding a row to the usermeta table, but that doesn’t stop the person from creating a new account and doing it again.

Okay, so did you double-checked that all your integration values are correct?

[hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details[/hilite]
PayPal EMail Address
PayPal API Username
PayPal API Password
PayPal API Signature
[hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› PayPal® PDT Integration[/hilite]
PayPal PDT Identity Token

Make sure you don’t have Sandbox mode enabled in s2Member. Sandbox would use its own credentials, different from your live account’s. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Sandbox[/hilite]

When you try the test purchase, for payment are you trying to login to the same PayPal account you use as the merchant? That won’t work with PayPal, they need to be different accounts.

If you send the login info using the form, I can look at the logs directly via FTP.

I don’t know if they’ll be enough to solve the problem, but it’s the first thing I’d look at in case they have something that helps.

I know you can protect content outside of wordpress using URI restrictions… If I install another instance of wordpress on the URI /productA how can I add code to protect that?

No, the URI restriction will only work with the WordPress installation that it’s in.

It’d be shown in the browser… but if you don’t see it there, then you could save it to a file and look there. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2628798/print-array-to-a-file

I see.

it’s weird that there aren’t logs. Do you have logging enabled? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite]

Could you send your site’s info? I’d like to take a look at the settings, do a test transaction and look at the logs, if possible. s2Member® » Private Contact Form

Hi Nigel.

Yes, if you remove the integration details, s2Member won’t work with MailChimp anymore. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / List Servers -› MailChimp®[/hilite]

Does that help?

Hi Juan.

You could do one of two things: set an EOT time so the Auto EOT Behavior gets triggered immediately, or you can change the user role.

This article tells you about changing the role with PHP: Knowledge Base » Changing Roles/Capabilities via PHP

[hilite mono]"s2member_auto_eot_time"[/hilite] can be updated via PHP, probably using [hilite mono]update_user_option[/hilite]. http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/update_user_option

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Marce.

The post would not be moved when the user pays. The post would be where you put it, and require the access you set it to require, and then the user gets that access or not.

If you put the post in a category protected at level 1 and the user then purchases level 1 access, he’d be able to open the post. This can be done in the free version. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Category Access Restrictions[/hilite]

Does that help?
