Thanks for your inquiry. ~ We appreciate your patience :-)

I saw the video tutorial about the integration with bbPress but then i also saw the Post here on the forum where someone wrote you should not upgrade bbPress to 2.2. Is the integration with bbPress current version 2.2.4 still that smooth and easy as in your video tutorial?

Yes, s2Member v130203 (the latest release) is compatible with bbPress v2.2.4 (the latest release).

Please see this KB article which includes a tab that details the Roles/Capabilities applied when bbPress is running in concert with s2Member®.

See: Knowledge Base » s2Member® Roles/Capabilities

The latest release of s2Member® is actually easier to integrate than what you saw in the video, because the latest release does NOT require any bridges or other plugins. Just install s2Member® and bbPress together and you’re good. Visit this page in your Dasbhoard for further details please.

See: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Other Integrations -› bbPress®

I want the Forum bbPress only visible for registered users. Non registered users should not even see the Forum in the navigation. Is that possible with s2Members ?

To control navigation menu visibility, I recommend that you install the Menu Items Visibility Control plugin. Please find it listed on this page. See: Knowledge Base » Plugins/Themes (Compatibility w/ s2Member®)

If yes i want to ask if it is a single login ? Means when i register with s2Members that i dont have to register on the Forum bbPress again..

Absolutely. They log into your WordPress® installation and they’re logged into your forums too. This is bbPress v2.2.4 that we’re running here at s2Member.com. You are correct, Users/Members only login one time.

Please let us know if you have any other questions/concerns :-)

It’s working on my end. Tested in Google Chrome. Did you try clearing your browser cache?

To fix that remaining issue, please update your CSS to this.

div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-section > div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-div input[type="text"],
div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-section > div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-div input[type="password"],
div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-section > div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-div textarea,
div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-section > div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-div select,
div.s2member-pro-paypal-checkout-form-password-strength

I will assume that you’ve integrated with JW Player and you’re using the [s2Stream /] shortcode. If so, then yes. Please see: http://www.longtailvideo.com/jw-player/tech-specs/

You will want to offer an RTMP stream, and also an MP4 fallback. So please use this player="" value.

[s2Stream player="jwplayer-v6-rtmp" ... /]

Thanks for reporting this important issue.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean here.

S2Member will immediately begin protecting the download instead of serving it inline.

I’m not aware of any bug that would cause this. However, if you have indeed discovered a bug, please report it with some additional detail so we can get this corrected. Thanks!

Yes, that’s an excellent plugin that I highly recommend. I also recommend Menu Item Visibility Control, which is like Widget Logic for navigation menus in WordPress®. Please see: Knowledge Base » Plugins/Themes (Compatibility w/ s2Member®)

I want to know, if a new site visitor, will, upon initial registration, be redirected to the page they initially requested or not.

No. After registration a customer is asked to log in. Upon logging in, the customer is redirected to your Login Welcome Page, and not to the page they were originally trying to access. In order to accomplish this, you would need to introduce some custom code (perhaps a cookie that remembers what they were trying to access).

Does that means that it works just for php files?

What about html files?

It works only with PHP files. However, ANY file can (even HTML files) be configured to parse PHP tags. Most servers are configured to parse PHP tags inside .php files only. However, a quick addition to your .htaccess file can add support for PHP tags inside other files, which would otherwise be served statically.

Here are some articles covering this topic for GoDaddy, MediaTemple (gs) and HostGator.

On GoDaddy, add this to your .htaccess file.

AddHandler x-httpd-php5 .html

On HostGator, add this to your .htaccess file.

AddType application/x-httpd-php5 .html

On MediaTemple (gs), add this to your .htaccess file.

AddHandler php-script .html
You will need to consult with your hosting company about this to get the correct configuration.

What about URIs under s2members restrictions?

URI Restrictions configured with s2Member® will function properly. Other Restrictions (like Posts, Pages, Categories, Tags) will not be functional, because this type of content does not fall under any of those. It’s custom content. That’s what s2Member’s URI Restrictions are for.

How can I protect files under

http://site.com/Non-WPFolder/filename.html ? It is a Non-WPFolder as you saw but content will only be available for members enrolling via paypal button generated by s2members.

Enable PHP inside .html files as mentioned above. Then follow the KB article example :-) Actually, you could skip the current_user_can() checks that Raam gave in his example if you’re protecting this content through s2Member’s URI Restrictions. Instead, just add the include_once 'wp-load.php'; to the top of any HTML file.

<?php include_once 'wp-load.php'; ?>

It works fine when inserted into a page.
But displays a) paypal error along b) payment options

Please make sure that BOTH shortcodes have register="1" in the list of attributes. One of these shortcodes does not, it would seem. If problems persist, please regenerate your shortcodes with s2Member®.

That would mean i can restrict member pages to level1( exactly as above shortcode implies). As they then after a week either be moved to level2 (which means they have also access to level1 content) or moved to level0 (which means they not have access to level1 content).

Or do i need to restrict pages with level2 access? (i doubt it, thinking level1 restriction being more correct)

Content would be restricted at Level #1 (available to all Members; including those on a free trial).

Content *could* also be protected at Level # 2 (optional). If you protected content at Level #2, it would mean that only Members who paid you for the upgrade, would have access to that content. So the question is, do you want Members to have full access during their free trial? If so, all content is protected at Level #1. Level #2 is really just a distinguishing Level (identifying paid customers). It really does not provide any additional access; because Level #1 is all that’s required. Make sense?

Details received. Thank you!

It appears that you configured CNAME records for your CloudFront distros. However, your existing CNAME records are not pointed to the right locations. You currently have them pointing to S3. They need to be pointed to your CloudFront distributions.

Please see: http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudFront/latest/DeveloperGuide/CNAMEs.html

Please let us know if problems persist :-)

@ Montaya

Will Users/Members be able to create their own blog on your Network? If so, you will need an s2Member® Multisite Network Support License. If not, an Unlimited Site License will be enough.

With an Unlimited Site License, we will provide support for multiple instances of s2Member® Pro across multiple Child Blogs within your Network, as long as you are the Administrator for each of these Child Blogs.

If you run a Multisite Network, but only intend to run a single instance of s2Member® Pro on the Main Site of your Network, then a Single Site License is sufficient.

Multiple instances = Unlimited Site License
Single instance = Single Site License

If Users/Members will be able to create Child Blogs on your Network, then it won’t matter how many instances you intend to run, this absolutely requires an s2Member® Multisite Network Support License.

You should be able to place the following CSS inside your theme’s style.css file, or into a box for custom CSS if your theme makes this feature available to you. Just to be sure to include the !important declaration so that you’re overriding s2Member’s default stylesheet. Please let me know if this gives you any trouble.

div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-section > div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-div input[type="text"],
div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-section > div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-div input[type="password"],
div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-section > div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-div textarea,
div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-section > div.s2member-pro-paypal-form-div select
