Thank you for the screenshot! I’ve tracked this down as a browser compatibility issue, however it looks like it can be solved by adding a style attribute min-width:663px; to the enclosing video_frame DIV. I’ll will pass this on to Jason. :) |

Hi Jean-Michel, Unfortunately the s2Member back-end pages (i.e., the administration pages, including the button generators) are not yet translation-compatible. If you want to change that text, you’ll need to modify the core s2Member files; those changes will be overwritten with upgrades to s2Member. We’re working to improve translation support for the back-end administrative pages in the next major release of s2Member. |

Hi Agnes, Regarding s2Member translations, please see Pre Sale FAQs » Can s2Member® be translated into other languages?. I’m not sure what you’re referring to by “the subscription page”; could you please clarify? |

Hi Eric, The wp-config.php file defines settings for all of WordPress and since s2Member is a WordPress plugin, incorrect settings (or invalid file permissions) would definitely affect s2Member as well. Have you tried deactivating and reactivating the s2Member plugin? (You should make sure that Deactivation Safeguards are enabled first: WP Admin -> s2Member -> General Options -> Deactivation Safeguards.) |

Hi Miranda, Please see below:
Your non-WordPress pages do not need to be stored inside the WordPress directories (doing so wouldn’t have any affect on performance anyway). There’s no way for us to know if your JavaScript content will or will not work, as there are simply too many variables involved. Please take a look at this knowledge base article for an explanation of how to protect non-WordPress pages. The pages do not need to reside inside the WordPress directories; you simply need to include one of the core WordPress files in your non-WordPress page (which must be a .php file).
That will depend on the JavaScript and the styling. We recommend installing the free version of s2Member (s2Member Framework) and trying things out with that first. If the free version works to your satisfaction, you can upgrade to Pro and all your existing configuration will be maintained.
s2Member does not provide a login box for non-WordPress pages.

That’s interesting. It shouldn’t look like that. Could you try taking a screenshot and sharing that with us? Also, what web browser and version are you using? |

Hi John, Did you create a page with the permalink /log-in/? If not, you should probably be using http://spotontrades.com/wp-login.php Did you create pages with the permalinks /basic-members-area/ and /full-members-area/ and then restrict those pages in Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Page Access Restrictions? Also, have you tried disabling s2Member and accessing those pages? If you still receive 404 errors even after disabling s2Member, then you may have an issue with your theme or with your permalinks. |

Hi Kevin, Did you install the s2Member Framework plugin on your dev server? Both the Pro Module and the Framework plugin must be installed. Please see s2Member® » Pro » Install/Upgrade Instructions. |

Hi Thomas, That shouldn’t be happening if your WordPress account has the role of “Administrator”. If you accidentally changed your role to one of the s2Member protected roles (something that WordPress shouldn’t allow you to do in the first place), that might describe what’s happening. Are you logging in directly to the admin interface or using a login widget on your site? If you’re using a login widget, try logging directly into /wp-login.php. If you’re using URI Restrictions (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› URI Access Restrictions), you may have accidentally configured something that incorrectly redirecting you. You can also try disabling the s2Member plugin manually by using FTP to rename the s2Member folder in /wp-content/plugins/. Renaming the folder to something other than /s2member/ will cause WordPress to disable the plugin. If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to manually change your user’s role back to Administrator in the database. For that, you’ll want to search Google for instructions and/or post a question in the WordPress.org Support Forums. |

Hi Simon, You can reset the IP restrictions for a specific account by editing that user’s account (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Browse Members), checking the box that says Reset IP Restrictions, and then pressing the Update User button at the bottom. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to view the IP Restriction logs as that information is stored in the database and not a simple log file.

Hi Eric, I just tested the latest version of s2Member Pro (v120301) and WordPress (v3.3.1) running on Windows 7 with Internet Explorer v9.0.8 and I was unable to reproduce the problem you described. Could you try clearing your browser cache? Also, you might want to try IE9 on another computer, as there may be some software installed locally that is casing issues with IE9. |

Hi cassel, There is not currently a way to rate posts, however if you want to remember posts for your own reference, you can use the “Add to My Favorites” button at the top right of the thread and then access that list from your profile. |

Hi Allen, You might want to try running IE9 in Compatibility View to see if that helps. I found this thread on the WordPress.org Support Forums where others were having a similar issue with WordPress and IE9. |

Hi Ross, The problem you’re having isn’t something that can easily be controlled from the server-side, as it’s the browsers that detect the base URL for relative anchors (e.g., I wrote a short primer explaining how all this works in the old forum: I can understand your frustration, as I’ve had to work around the same issue on my own site. What I did was make sure that the user was only presented with HTTPS links while they were logged in. Once they logout, they’re redirected to a non-HTTPS page and from then on all links they see remain non-HTTPS. For any pages that use the s2member_force_ssl custom field, I made sure those pages were only available when the user is logged in or that any URLs on those pages point to HTTPS URLs where I’ve fixed any mixed-content issues. (I’ve found that other WordPress plugins are notorious for including scripts with non-HTTPS URLs that cause the mixed content issues.) |

Hi Bill, Yes, you can create memberships manually (see Pre Sale FAQs » Can I create new Membership accounts manually with s2Member?). If the user paid for their membership using a non-supported gateway (or cash), you can manually set the expiration time on their account by entering a date/time into the Automatic EOT field on their profile. Users can renew their membership with a supported gateway using a Modification Button (see Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Subscr. Modification Buttons, which you can make available to them after they’ve been demoted (you’ll want to make sure they’re logged in when using these buttons, otherwise their payment won’t be linked to their account). If you want them to renew using a non-supported gateway, you’ll need to manually “upgrade” their account from Free Subscriber status to the applicable level after you’ve received payment (again, this is done by editing their profile and changing their role from Free Subscriber to the correct level). |
