Hi Yvette.

When there’s a failed login, the user is taken to /wp-login.php. There isn’t yet a setting in the widget to specify a redirection to another page in this situation.

I’m adding it to our list of feature requests, thanks for the idea.

I would like to disable the wp-admin login page and redirect users to an alternate page that gives them instructions on what to do if they are unsuccessful with the login

You could add your instructions in the login page’s footer from here: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Login Registration Design[/hilite]

I hope it helps. :)

Hi Karyl.

Sure, you can add your email address to the list of recipients for the confirmation email: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Specific Post/Page Confirmation Email -> Recipients[/hilite]

There’s also the Spec. Post/Page notification email: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Notifications -› Specific Post/Page Sale Notifications -> Send An Email[/hilite]

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Chad.

Could you try putting the template file in /wp-content/ or /wp-content/themes/?

Hi Jeff.

No, this is not possible yet, but I’ve added it to the feature requests for Jason. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi Jack.

Eduán’s reply is correct. Your site won’t be changed at all by the change of license, since it doesn’t check it. You only need the access to get the s2Member Pro download in order to update your installation, but that can be from either account.

It’s great that you’re getting your own license, that gives you full control. Go to https://www.s2member.com/single-site-co/?s2-ssl=yes to get your Single Site license. If you have your own s2member.com account, please login to it first, if not you can create your new account right there.

I’m sure Rebecca will tell you about the right way to update s2Member and s2Member Pro when new releases are available, so you don’t have any downtimes, but here are a couple of articles on installation/update:

s2Member® » Framework » Install/Upgrade Instructions
s2Member® » Pro » Install/Upgrade Instructions

And remember to always have a up-to-date backup of your site as a safety net.

I hope that helps. :)

If the separate PayPal accounts are handled by another script, then it may work. You’d need all those transactions to have the right IPN URL so s2Member is updated by PayPal about new payments, or lack of. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› PayPal® IPN Integration[/hilite]

To add the users, you may be able to use the Remote Operations API. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Remote Operations API[/hilite]

Are you using pro-forms, or PayPal buttons are okay? If the buttons are fine, then you may be able to create buttons from each of the PayPal accounts following this article: Knowledge Base » Using PayPal created buttons

Does it help?

Hi Tricia.

In the file /s2member-pro/includes/classes/exports-in.inc.php, could you try changing

[hilite code]header ("Content-Encoding:");[/hilite]

to

[hilite code]header ("Content-Encoding: none");[/hilite]

Let me know if it helps.

Hi Dwayne.

Right, the user should have been demoted after the payment was not successful. If the gateway made several attempts to charge the person, that may explain a delay in the demotion, but 3 days seems a bit long.

Do you have the log entries for the transaction? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite]

Yeah, that’s how WordPress does it.

I think there must be a plugin that lets you edit the sender… Here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mailfrom-ii/

I hope it helps. :)

Right, I need to wait for Jason to confirm this. The main thing would be with Auth.Net, I doubt MailChimp will be a problem.

If you can’t update with the domain name the custom value in the user’s subscription over at Auth.Net, then you’d probably need to use a script that gets the IPNs from Auth.Net to your old domain, and forwards them to the new one.

Posted: Saturday Sep 8th, 2012 at 7:10 am #24618

No, there isn’t a replacement code for the description attribute. If you use the custom values, you can use the replacement code [hilite mono]%%cv1%%[/hilite] in the New User email, for example. Hi Mike.

Build a registration form that auto-populates from the membership database for members (or can be filled in by non-members) and allows payment through PayPal.

You can use the pro-form to register and get paid. It won’t pre-populate since s2Member doesn’t have the person’s info yet. It can be used with PayPal to receive payment, yes. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms[/hilite]

Non-members pay a higher fee for the workshop or have the option of becoming members for the membership fee and then pay the lower member registration fee.

You can show adjust the attributes of the pro-form, or show a different pro-form, based on whether the user is logged or what level he has.

The lexicon of both Word Press and s2Member is a major problem for me.

Please let me know what terms you’re having trouble with, I’ll try to explain them.

Hi Hamid.

I have about 200 members (level 0, 1 and 2) that I need to give special access to a certain page as well as the links within that page.

The import tool can help you with this, to update the existing users so you give them the new access. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Import/Export -› User/Member Importation[/hilite]

I hope it helps. :)

Hi Brian.

No, the MailChimp integration is based on user level for now, we’ll be adding support for custom capabilities in the future.

For now, you can add ccaps as merge fields and segment your level 1 list with those. http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/s2member-mailchimp-and-ccaps/#post-17078

I hope it helps. :)

Ok great but using that way I don’t think I have an integration between both plugins. The Directory plugin is for the business part of the website. The perfect scenario for me is to integrate that plugin with S2m somehow but Would you recommend having the premium option with his own payment gateway for that part of the directory?

I’m sorry, I see I’m still not sure about how you want to integrate them. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not familiar with the other plugin you mention, but I’m still not clear about what you want to have in the site.

Could you please explain it some more and give an example so that, if possible, I may be able to suggest a way to do it? Thanks!

In other subject is there any news about the WooCommerce API Gateway that Jason in writing, man I think that a lot of people is waiting for that like me, no actually I’m desperate to have it.

No, no news on this yet.

Oh, so you can take credit card payments on your site without a problem with the pro-form? Then I guess you have PayPal Pro… So the problem you’re having is with Express Checkout? Do you have Express Checkout enabled in your PayPal account?

Could you please send us your log files? Or send and FTP login and I can get the logs from there. That way I can look at the log entries for the transaction you mention with the problem. s2Member® » Private Contact Form

Thanks. :)

Ah, sorry I didn’t understand the HTML/CSS part of your question.

No, those emails still don’t support that yet, they’re plain text emails.

Hi Joe.

Are you using buttons to sell your membership? If so, the user still needs to register after paying in order to have an account.

If you’re using pro-forms, then the registration is built into it and the account would be created right there.

The confirmation email is sent after payment, and it should include a registration link. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Signup Confirmation Email[/hilite]

The new user email is sent after a registration, and it’d include the username and password. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Email Configuration -> New User[/hilite]

I hope it helps. :)

2CO is in our list of requested gateways, but we just haven’t gotten around to integrating with it yet.

If you want to do your own integration with it, this may be useful: http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=3154

I hope it helps. :)

Until launch time, I am masking its presence by including an “index.htm” file in the public_html folder…

Ah, yes, index.html would cause that. Sorry I forgot about that as a possible cause, it’s just so rare that I had only seen it once some months ago and didn’t think of it when I saw you having the problem.

I’m very glad you found it and sorted it out. Nice job. :)

By the way, the “Yes, notify me of follow-up replies via email” option is not working for me on the s2Member forums, like this one.

That seems to happen to a small percentage of users here, most of us do receive the emails. They’re all being sent, it’s just that some, for some strange reason, don’t get it. Do you have another email address you use, to see if you do get notifications in that one?

Are you positive you’re not logged in when you try to open the pages protected at Level 0?

Could you send a link to your site using the contact form, if you don’t want to make it public? I’d like to try it myself. s2Member® » Private Contact Form

Thanks!

Hi Torbjörn.

Ah, the thing is that s2Member gives access an extra day.

From [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Automatic EOT Behavior[/hilite]:

s2Member also calculates one extra day ( 24 hours ) into its equation, just to make sure access is not removed sooner than a Customer might expect.

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Michael.

I’m emailing Elizabeth now to help you sort out your account access. :)
