Thanks for the update, Sam! I’m glad you found the problem.

True, a good multilingual solution would be ideal but, like you said, there isn’t much demand for it, at least not compared to other more requested/needed features. WordPress itself is very lacking in this department.

My solution to a multilingual site using WordPress in the past, has been to have two separate installations, one for each language, and that gave me full control, without the problems that trying to hack it into WP and every plugin meant.

Thanks for the update! I’m very glad you found the issue. :)

Hi Jean.

Well, you could create a hack that checks if the page is being requested by their crawler (e.g. IP address, user agent), and give it access bypassing the s2Member restrictions.

Hi Dean.

No, the user can see in his PayPal account the active subscriptions and manage them. The cancellation button s2Member provides, just links to where the user can manage that specific subscription, to make it easier for him to find it.

You used the same paypal account to pay and get the payment? Have you tried paying with a different PayPal account than the one that’s receiving the payment?

A possibility? Again, that’s a very vague statement.

Because I needed to know what PP services you had available there before I could say if the new s2Member being developed will support it.

I’ve already listed them for your consideration in my opening post

You mention PayFlow Gateway, is that the PayFlow Pro service? I’ll ask Jason to confirm it, but I believe the new s2Member will support the standalone PayFlow service in Australia.

could someone please reply to my Private Contact request?

That one needs to be replied by Jason, and he’s only checking his email about once a week.

I don’t know exactly what he’ll reply, but it’s very possible that he will point you to the Refund policy, since it’s not really a fault with s2Member that you don’t have PayPal Pro or Authorize.Net available in your country to receive payments on your site.

I’ll send him a reminder of your email.

Please don’t get the tone of my post wrong, I have enormous respect and admiration for the product you’ve developed (as I am a novice PHP programmer). I think it’s fantastic that you offer a support forum for me to search through, and that your support staff respond within a reasonable timeframe even though I can see there are 50+ posts a day.

Thanks! :)

Hi Stephen.

Clients may have more than one package per login. Payments might be annual or monthly.

Right, custom capabilities would be what you need to use. Video » s2Member (Custom Capabilities)

You mention recurring payments, so I thought it important to clarify this: s2Member can do subscriptions, but only one per user, not multiple subscriptions for a single account yet.

You can have a single subscription for a level, and add all the custom capabilities you want to that as long as you sell them as one-time payments.

Hi Rebecca.

Yes, please remove personal info (e.g. email address, last name) before posting the log entries here.

It looks like Paypal error # 10505 stems from issues regarding bank/card authorization or address verification (Paypal requires that you use the same address that is on record with the credit card being used).

About the charges happening despite the error, did you get the money on your side? Are you sure they weren’t just authorizations and not actual debits?

Is that the only person that got that error with you and the rest can pay just fine, or have you had other customers with the same problem?

So you want to have that form integrated with the account registration? That’d need customization.

It’d be easier to have that for logged in users, like in the Login Welcome page. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Login Welcome Page[/hilite]

Our IT guy inquired you first and he was told your product would meet our needs.

He inquired about the problem and you didn’t solve the problem.

Could you provide the URLs to those threads he started so I know which we’re talking about, please? Thanks. :)

So you want to have the pro-form show in different languages depending on what you’re selling? I’m afraid I don’t have an answer for that, s2Member was not designed to be multilingual. :/

What I’m not sure about though, is how it works with registration access links that are sent out by email – do these point to the s2Member return pages, or to the success-URL?

The success URL in the pro-form is where the user will be redirected to after completing payment/registration successfully.

The link sent in the confirmation email is to be allowed to register and give the new account the proper level/access. This is important when using the buttons to sell, because with the pro-forms the user registers right then.

I hope that helps. :)

I think it’d be the file s2member-pro\includes\classes\gateways\paypal\paypal-form-in.inc.php. I didn’t see a filter for the custom fields part, you’ll need to edit the file directly. I suggest you edit a copy and put it in the /wp-content/mu-plugins/ dir.

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Wayne.

I looked at your page and the HTML for the button is there, but a bit broken.

There’s something causing a parsing problem, but if your plugins weren’t the cause, then it’s possible the theme is. Please test with the default TwentyEleven theme to confirm it.

I hope that helps. :)

Odd, I don’t get that. I get this in my test:

[hilite code][/hilite]

Are you having this problem with the shortcode’s ouput as well, or just the full code given in the generator?

Do you have a similar problem generating other kinds of button as well?

Have you checked if there’s a plugin conflict causing it? You can test deactivating other plugins one by one and checking after each if the problem continues.

Hi Jan.

I’m notifying Elizabeth to send you one. :)

Hi Wayne.

I sent Jason an email, he’s the one that put it there. :)

Hi James.

I’m not familiar with bbPress and its topic permalinks. Would all threads in that forum have something in common that is unique to that forum? For example /trading-lab/. If you have nothing you can pick from the URL that’d identify a thread in that forum, then I’m afraid it won’t be possible. But if you have something like that, then URI restriction can be used.

Posted: Thursday Sep 6th, 2012 at 6:41 am #24279

Hi Jim.

You mean using the registration pro-form with a URL of your choice to redirect the user to after registration?

You can point to any page you want, and have anything you want in it. :)

Posted: Thursday Sep 6th, 2012 at 6:35 am #24277

I’ll email Jason asking him about this.

Thanks for the update! Yes, please keep us posted. :)

No problem. :)

so you can have ipn on a per transaction basis set to different accounts

Yes. Each s2Member installation will have its own PayPal account details fields, where you can enter the same or different accounts. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details[/hilite]

Hi John.

You’d need to add the extra field and some JavaScript that’ll compare them and give a warning preventing form submission if there’s a mismatch.

Maybe there’s a plugin to add that to wp-login.php?action=register. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/

Funny, when I tried http://s2member-files.ironphoenix.com.s3.amazonaws.com/video.mp4 I got the file download prompt in Firefox.

I don’t know if it’ll help, but have you read this? Knowledge Base » JW Player sample code not working

About your server time, if you do this [hilite code][/hilite] in a PHP file, what do you get when you open it with your browser? Is it correct?

Hi Thomas.

Jason’s checking his emails about once a week only, since he’s quite busy with development at the moment. I don’t know when you were left waiting for a response here, I had not seen your posts until today.

When did Jason do this custom job? Was it last year? He hasn’t done any custom coding jobs since late 2011. Has it only started giving trouble lately? Did you change something in your installation recently?

I’ll check out the thread Eduán linked to, too.

Posted: Wednesday Sep 5th, 2012 at 4:26 am #24133

Hi Peter.

Yeah, it’d require some customization to achieve that. I’ll add this to the features request list, though. :)

The custom profile field won’t work for that use, since those are only shown in registration and profile forms, not the cancellation one.
