Is there a way to restrict a member from printing information from the page?

s2Member isn’t capable of this, and I’m not aware of any way to accomplish this. If there is a way, you could use s2Member’s PHP Conditionals to decide when to do so.

See: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Advanced PHP Conditionals

I have set up the free version of S2 but I guess I can’t put the registration form in to the registration page… unless I am missing something. So if that is the case would the S2 Pro be the way to accomplish what I need or is this all just overkill?

s2Member Pro supports Free Registration Pro Forms like you need in addition to eCommerce capability. If you’re looking to protect content on your site, s2Member could be a good way to go even if you’re only signing members up for free. Many Users do this.

Related to this, I require a date-based custom registration field in the USA format of mm/dd/yyyy. Unfortunately, the date format selected in WordPress’ Date Format setting is not impacting s2members’ expected format option for the custom registration/profile field. That is, the s2member’s expected format select field option for Date remains dd/mm/yyyy no matter which date format I choose (and save) in the WordPress setting. Any ideas on what is going on with this?

s2Member does not use the date format set here in its forms.

Actually, my original question doesn’t even seem relevant; whichever way I enter the date (mm/dd or dd/mm), even after changing the setting in the Dashboard, S2Member doesn’t return a validation error even for an invalid date. As long as it’s 2 digits, it validates, even if I enter “24″ for the month, for example. Any support comments on this?

s2Member only validates the format of the input, not the actual meaning. You cannot currently change the format for the date in Pro Forms. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your inquiry.

What the difference between s2member and Optimizepress?

I need Optimizepress or S2member do the same things?

I’m not very experienced with OptimizePress, but based on it’s specifications it works similarly to s2Member. If you were going to use s2Member, you would not need OptimizePress. s2Member has eCommerce capabilities and can protect content. See: s2Member® Pro » Features

How i can do a squeezepage with s2member?

I believe you’re looking for the Membership Options Page. You can set that here:

Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Membership Options Page

Why the backoffice doesnot translate in french?

s2Member does offer support for backend translations, but the translation linked in the previous thread does not have this done. You can translate the backend using the information here:

Pre Sale FAQs » Can s2Member® be translated into other languages?

Thank you for your inquiry.

s2Member currently doesn’t have the ability to approve members. Cristian went over the general process of using s2Member to do this here:

Knowledge Base » Free user review/approval process

However this does not keep the User from creating an account, only from accessing content.

My problem is that the registration form is appearing twice on the one page. The first form contains the custom fields whilst the second form doesn’t. Is there any way I can get rid of the unnecessary second form?

This looks like a glitch in your theme. I’d recommend contacting your theme’s developer. s2Member shouldn’t be doing this.

Thank you for reporting this important issue.

I just tested this in a test installation and the register attribute works just fine for me. Can you post the full shortcode that you’re using?

… ok, so what i’m getting is that this is an advanced php scripting issue (via the pro login snippet)– not something that is going to be possible to do w/o a pro. Unless, of course the sidebar widget is used.

Yes, unfortunately this is correct.

The problem with this is that this is an advanced feature, this is already as simple as we can get it. If there were a way to make this simpler we would definitely do that, but as-is there’s no way to do so. The information provided around MOP Variables goes over all the information you’ll need for this.

where does the php code get inserted;

In the Membership Options Page

does one need to include the lines for category or tag restricted content even if all content is restricted by other means (ccaps for example) …?

If you’re using the variable that I talked about in my previous reply (_s2member_seeking[_uri]) no. The other variables are only useful if you’re dynamically setting content based on what the User was redirected from.

I would like to set the upload quota for each plan, such as Bronze 1Gig, Silver 2Gigs, Gold 3Gigs. Is this possible with your plugin, perhaps via hooks and/or extensions?

s2Member doesn’t currently have any features in place that could do this. I suppose a developer familiar with s2Member could set this up using s2Member’s PHP Conditionals, but it would require an external uploader.

See: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Advanced PHP Conditionals

Also, is it feasible to set the amount of blogs each plan can launch, for instance, Bronze 1 Site, Silver 5 Sites, Gold 10 Sites?

Yes you can set this up with s2Member’s Network Site package. See: s2Member® » Prices/Licensing

1 – payment error: whilst reviewing my order in PayPal the transaction processed before I was ready – I need a part refund $19

I’m sorry I’m unsure what you mean that you need a partial refund. Your account shows that you signed up today, and at this time we don’t have any coupon codes active, so I’m not seeing any way that you should need a refund. Could you clarify?

2 – plug in install error: when uploading the s2 member-pro zip to wp-plugins, I get this install fail message “The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.”

You have to upload s2Member via FTP. See: s2Member® » Pro » Install/Upgrade Instructions

My Login page says “Login Welcome Page (automatically guarded by s2Member)”

The Login Welcome Page is the equivalent to a “My Account” page within s2Member and should always be protected. You should be sending Users to sign in at yourdomain.com/wp-login.php, and they will be automatically sent to the Login Welcome Page afterwards.

See: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Login Welcome Page

But is there a way within S2 Members where we can cancel a membership and be confident that the customer won’t keep being billed by Authorize? Thanks, Phil

You should give your customers access to a Cancellation Button here. This will allow Users to unsubscribe without having to call you:

Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Authorize.Net® Pro Forms -› Billing Cancellation Forms

Thank you for reporting this important issue.

I just tested the reCaptcha integration in our labs and it seems to be working correctly still. It sounds like this error is being sent because of an invalid Private Key here:

Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› CAPTCHA Anti-Spam Security

Try generating new keys and see if it works then. Let us know if problems persist.

Is it possible to use international validation as I am based in the UK and so will all my customers?

Yes, s2Member supports UK Style Zip Codes with Pro Forms just fine.

Thank you for your inquiry.

1) Please tell me what is the music on your introduction video; I love it

It was licensed quite a few years ago and I don’t think we have any information on it anymore. Sorry.

2) Can you offer any discounts to purchase S2Member for unlimited Domains?

We currently do not have any coupons in place, sorry.

3) Can I set S2Member up for a wp website, and private certain areas (pages) but only have these pages connected to S2Member? So only those members can see them?

Yes, you can find information on how to protect pages here:

Knowledge Base » A Basic Guide to Protecting Content With s2Member®

Thank you for reporting this important issue.

We’re taking a look at a similar issue that encompasses PayPal Error #36 in this thread:

http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/paypal-expired-security-token/#post-48610

We’re getting close to a resolution and this has a good chance of solving your issue. Jason will release word on this soon and if that does not solve your issue we’ll take another look at your site.

Thank you for your inquiry.

PayPal will require Users to have a PayPal account for recurring payments unless you have PayPal Pro. That’s the issue you’re running into. You’ll need to either use Buy Now Pro Forms/Buttons, or upgrade to PayPal Pro to take Credit Cards.

Thanks for your patience.

I tested your regular email functionality, and your New User Registration Email functionality and both worked just fine. I’m also not seeing any information in your logs that would cause this. Have you tested this with a test transaction yourself?

Hey, any news regarding this issue?

I’ve talked with our development team about this and we’ve had another report of problems with specific devices having trouble with streaming/downloading things, but I can download files myself on all of my devices. Sorry for the long delay here, we’ll get back to you as soon as we know more.
